  1. Kinda want to see Villa do well under O'Neill, but will be sooooooooooo pissed if Defoe goes. I really think we'll be needing those four strikers this season, we looked really short (in more ways than one) when Mido was injured at the end of last season. Newcastle seems to have done some good buisiness getting Rossi on loan from Man U, the desperatly need some strikers. And Southgate has done some good work getting Woodgate to boro, if he can stay fit!
  2. Kou, Second, IN THE SUPER AGURI!! DAMN HIM!!!! And welcome to team Renault Liamwannabe!!!
  3. I still need a team-mate for Renault. C'mon guys. I've got a reasonable base set up for you to work from.
  4. Lucky you. I need a new job quick so I can go watch Spurs!
  5. Looks like Lee's staying to Messiah. Best of both worlds for you!
  6. Cue you winning loads, parking on the track and crashing into people then. Unless you take after Herr Schumacher 'the younger!'
  7. Screw-em. Hopefully he'll take the hint from the hightlights they showed on the big screen after his debut a coupla years ago and give us a 'Walk like an Egyptian' celebration. Actually who cares about celebrations, just as long as the dude scores a hat-full of goals. And at least now I can start to think about who to get put on the back of my shirt. I figure Keane for the white and Mido for the brown. Not sure if I'll get the blue yet but Davids is a possibility.
  8. Cool Idea for a game. Joined for Renault as team leader. Come on guys, Join up. Lets kick the tires and light the fires!!!!
  9. He's coming home... he's coming home... He's coming... MIDO'S COMING HOME!!!!
  10. Phew, it's all happening now. I like that we've got Mido back. I think if we are going to be a success this season (and god knows we need some success after the opening week) We are going to need 4 top class strikers. I'm sure that if we manage to put in good performances in all competitions then we'll need to rotate some players, and with only Defoe, Keane and Berbatov we were looking a bit light if injuries occured, especially to Berbatov. Mido is a proven entity, we know he can score in the Prem, and he formed an impressive partnership with Keano last season. As for Lee going...It makes us light in the full-back areas. We've got three left-backs in Lee, Assou-Ekotto and Zeigler. With Lee playing at right back too that means him and Stalteri. Lee going means well lack cover, but I doubt the club would let him go unless there was a plan to replace him.
  11. Anyone go today? Any insight on why we couldn't beat Everton? We ALWAYS beat Everton!
  12. ah, 360 purchase tomorrow then!
  13. sounds cool, at least we know that there'll be some unlockable costumes this time. Seriously considering getting a 360 for this, seeing as the ps3 version is gonna be delayed.
  14. Don't think we'll see a 4-3-3 much, as it negates the pace and attacking threat of Aarron Lennon. He's at his best whenever he is out wide and running at defenders, he is such potent threat, and proving to be so at international level too. 4-3-3 means he'd have to play more centrally or risk the teams shape and coverage. 4-3-3 would be a possibilty if he got injured perhaps, but i think it's more likely we actually sign a left winger and play an orthadox 4-4-2, though even the present formation seems effective. the only worry is that our main left-sided player is Davids, who might not last the pace of a whole season. Though I hope zeigler gets a chance to recapture his awsome form from his initail debut.
  15. I know it'll never happen, but i was at the Stones concert at Twickenham the other night and witness to some stirling guitar work from Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood. I know they aren't reknowned for being a 'guitar band' but they do have a really distinctive two guitar sound. I'd love to play 'Jumping Jack Flash' or 'Honky-tonk Woman' on GHII. Oh and for Guitar anoraks, and after visiting the 'Unlock shop' in GH I'm sure there are a few more out there, Keith and Ronnie went through most of the Gibson Guitars catalogue, I lost count of how many changes there were. There were a few Fenders on display too (Keith used a Telecaster at one point and Mick used a Black Strat when he joined in). If the Stones did feature we'd need to have Keith's ES-355 semi-acoustic in the unlock shop, very distinctive sound there.
  16. OOOOO. Interesting. didn't see that coming. Martins has 'Flown in' to talk to Newcastle today But...wait, Literally just been confirmed by BBC.com.
  17. Spurs Liverpool Watford Reading Wigan West Ham Man City Man U Newcastle Sheff U Everton Villa Boro Portsmouth Bolton Fulham Charlton Blackburn Chelsea Arsenal
  18. I'm sure that Stewart Downing has been priced out of the market by Boro. And he seems happy to stay. Boa Morte might be a more realistic possibility. I really enjoy this part of the season, and late January for that matter. It all goes quiet on the transfer front, then you check Teletext first thing in the morning to find your clubs signed a bunch of players. Looks like Martins (Inter Striker who had been linked with us) is going to Newcastle for that matter. Shame, we could do with another striker IMO, with only 3 we are kinda short if anyone gets injured that said I'd rather we stick with who we've got than buy someone like Rasiak, who unfortunatly only lasted half a season with us.
  19. I still think Knightfall/quest/end would work well on the big screen. YES it would need to be at least two movies. It would need to take place after the rouges gallery has been established (2-3 movies time). And it needn't be EXACTLY like it was in the comics. Far from it. And Bruce was DESPERATE and near death when he chose Jean-Paul to be Batman. Who else was there? Tim Drake was still a kid. Alfred? And Dick Grayson was Busy working as Nightwing in Bludhaven. It was a poor choice. I think it'd be cool to represent that on film though. Have the audience know how unhinged Jean-Paul is without Bruce knowing, then have it slowly play out over the course of the second movie, till Bruce has returned. As for Bane, well, have him be more realistic. A lot of the way he was drawn in Knightfall was exaggerated (tiny waist and massivly overdeveloped body). Have someone like The Rock (Taller than average, and well built) play Bane. The drugs just need to make him freakishly strong, as opposed to bulking him up still furthur. have him played more realisticly as the characters in this new franchise seem to be. And one of the good things about Batman Begins was how it RE-TOLD Batman's origin. Taking cues from 'Year One.' The 'Knight' Saga could be similarly re-told over a couple of movies, and have it be just as accessible, even clearing up problems with the story that have been highlighted. But hey, It'll probably never happen anyway....
  20. Well, lets hope for a bit of that tomorrow against Sheff U! Cheers for posting that link, quality vid. As an aside, anyone think we'll make any more signings before transfer deadline? Personally I reckon in typical Spurs fashion we'll sign Chimbonda at 11.55 at night on deadline day! probably for about 5.5 mil. Still wondering about the left side. Is Davids gonna play there all season or do you think we'll bring in an actual left-winger?
  21. To be fair the way Davenport was being held back for the first goal was appalling!
  22. If I recall, in this movie Joker is supposed to be the bad guy. We get to see Harvey Dent working with Batman and Gordon like in the comic books, at the end of the Dent gets hit with the acid and is scarred, with him being the big bad NEXT movie. I can see Phillipe being a good choice for Harvey Dent. Maybe not Two-Face at the moment, but Dent sure. Dent always had this reputation for being strikingly handsome the 'Dashing D.A.' And Phillipe can play 'unhinged' pretty well (Dent has Multiple-personality-disorder, Hence his scarring leads him to become 'Two-Face').
  23. Andy Reid's left Spurs to go to Charlton in a deal that could possibly reach 3 million. (BBC) And it looks like Kuyt is gonna be a Liverpool player. (BBC)
  24. Heard he collapsed playing for us in an U18 tourney, I think it was in Spain. The match was abandoned and the Team flew home.
