  1. There's a massive push here in Utah to bring a MLB team to Salt Lake City, backed by the former owners of the Jazz. Already have a stadium site, designs, etc. I'm not going to get my hopes up, as I feel the A's moving here would have been our best hope, but it would be awesome to have a pro team here.
  2. If the 76ers and the Warriors meet in the Finals, will Embiid's and Green's legs cause a universal explosion if they try to kick and stomp each other?
  3. Did you see his press conference after the game? Basically blamed the refs, saying it was the second time he had his leg grabbed in two games and they saw both and didn't do anything. Admitted that he stomped too hard...but why did he even have to stomp? Such a classless act. If he's not suspended, I will be disappointed and root for the Kings.
  4. Like I randomly said in the AEW news topic, Draymond Green makes it hard to root for Curry and Thompson.
  5. I'm hoping for a Bucks victory, mainly for Joe Ingles. I would love to see Donovan take Cleveland all the way. Boston would be OK, same as the Warriors. Anybody else, I probably won't care that much. Timberwolves would be fun, just to watch Rudy tell the NBA to fuck off.
  6. Morant, Giannis, and Herro all hurt on the same day? Is the universe setting up a Celtics/Warriors rematch?
  7. I'm still a fan of Gobert and think he can still contribute at a high level. Hopefully a summer together can get them more on the same page so Rudy can get back to his high level of play.
  8. I'm happy for the players and their fans. But, also disappointed that the Jazz won't have a second lottery pick. Y'all are allowed this one year, because of Conley, Rudy, and NAW. But, the rest of the years that we have your first round pick, could you please not make the playoffs?
  9. Whoever loses the play in. So, for once in my life, I'm rooting for the Lakers to beat Minnesota, and whoever wins out of New Orleans/OKC, to also beat Minnesota.
  10. I don't remember if I said it here or elsewhere, but I also felt that Minnesota wasn't a good spot for Gobert. As great as a defender as he is, he definitely cannot change his game to fit different schemes and he's also not a locker room leader to motivate his team. Be interesting if he rejoins the team for the postseason, or is sent home. And if he is sent home, what does the team do in the offseason with him? EDIT: just saw that, to make it worst for Minnesota fans, Jaden McDaniels punched a wall on his way to the locker room at half time, and fractured his hand.
  11. Right before the play in tournament starts, Rudy Gobert has punched one of his own teammates in the middle of a time out. Great timing.
  12. Houston fired their head coach today, while Detroit's head coach stepped down and is moving into the front office.
  13. Detroit's injury list looks a lot like Utah's injury list.
  14. That's hilarious. Now I really hope the pick falls out of the top 10 and they lose it.
  15. Depending on how the lottery balls fall, they could still potential lose their pick.
  16. Trading for Kyrie certainly worked out well for Dallas.
  17. It's all I have as a Jazz fan. Hopes and dreams every year.
  18. Probably not if he was a free agent. But, like @Twistsaid, if Dallas decided to trade him, we have the draft capital to make the deal happen. Throw in Colin Sexton and THT, and I can't see very many teams topping that. A base of Luka, Markkanen, and Walker Kessler is a great start to a team, and Coach Hardy has already shown what he can overachieve with a team everybody thought would finish dead last. Now imagine him with an actual superstar.
  19. I feel like 22 games is too small of a sample size for Bridges to win Most Improved, as impressive as he's been. Plus, it better go to Lauri Markkanen. Just read too that marijuana will no longer be a banned substance, and players can invest in NBA and WNBA teams, plus promote and invest in sports betting and cannabis companies.
  20. I'm more excited for the All-NBA teams to be position-less, with a minimum of 65 games played then the awards having a 65 game minimum. The mid-season tournament will be fun. I'm glad it's included in the 82 game schedule, with just an added game for the finals. Interested to see what the winners get, having trouble finding if that info was released.
  21. I'm surprised the age limit for the draft stayed for same. Thought for sure it was going away.
  22. Was there any doubt of it? Hopefully it drives Luka out. He would fit well in Utah.
  23. Assuming nothing crazy happens and the standings stay as they are, Clippers/Suns in the first round is going to be great. Saying that, I hope the Kings stomp everybody in the West, before losing to the Bucks in the Finals.
  24. Does that small segment of people just ignore the first Iron Man movie? Or the Incredible Hulk? Or the War Machine and Hulk characters?
