Love the name. My Dad grew up in the Baltimore Colts area and would tell me stories about them when I was growing up.

Stress, as well. I could only imagine what he goes through, the things he reads about himself, and the pressures he feels being Lebron's son.

I would consider myself a big country music fan. It's probably 70% of the music I listen to. Favorites are George Strait, Miranda Lambert, and Johnny Cash. I mainly stick with the 90s and older, going back to Hank Williams and the like. Not a big fan of the modern pop country sound, but do enjoy some of it, when the mood is right. My dad grew up in the 50s, and was a giant Hank Williams fan. After he passed, one of the few things I got from him was a box set of all of Hank's recordings, that I love to pull out at least once a year.

I've been a huge Miranda fan since she first came onto the scene. I love her music, but would never want to meet her. From all accounts, she's not the nicest person. It really sucks for her to do this. Especially after seeing the picture, it would have been really cool for these ladies to have, but now that memory is ruined for them and I can only imagine what other fans will be thinking about at her shows from now on.

I don't think it'll come down to that, but could see it happening. Honestly feel like Portland will either find a third team, or just give in to Miami. Don't need an unhappy superstar ruining Scoots rookie year, and the faster they can get off Dame's contract, the easier they can start putting pieces around Scoot.

I doubt it. My guess is that it ends up like Rodgers and the Jets, they'll work out something eventually. Second guess would be Portland takes a deal from somebody else that is willing to call Dame's bluff about being unhappy. Third bet would be Dame sitting out the season. Hell, I would bet on him retiring before he plays another game for Portland.

Back for the B league. I'll keep my head, however.

All the games but the final championship cup game still count towards the regular season standings. And they're early enough in the year. But, yes, I fully expect and applaud Popp for doing it.

The NBA announced the NBA Cup yesterday, a mid-season tournament in November and December. Each team has been put in a group of 5, with the winners advancing to the knock out round. Quarter finals and semi finals count towards regular season standings, with games added for those that don't make it. Finals won't count towards the standings or stats, but players will win a cash prize. I like it. Brings something different to the league.

Played a great game on NBA 2k23 last night in myleague with the Utah Jazz vs Portland Blazers. I was the Jazz, went up by 5 early, down by 20 in the second, fought back in the third and fourth, eventually getting the lead before Portland tied it with 8 seconds left. I called a timeout to advance the ball, drove in with Jordan Clarkson, kicked the ball out to Markkanen for a 3. He missed, by my power forward grabbed the rebound, and laid it in the hoop with 0.2 seconds, game ending as the ball hit the net. Elsewhere, I finished KOTOR 2, remembering why I didn't like the ending so long ago, and still don't like it. I started The Force Unleashed on the Switch and Diablo II on the Xbox as well.

Summer league is as overblown as his security team hitting Britney Spears.

I don't get the people saying or being mad that Dame is screwing Portland by wanting to go to Miami and nowhere else. Fuck Portland. Dame has been telling them for years that he doesn't want to go somewhere else and he doesn't want to rebuild. So, why should he work with them now? They haven't done anything to help him, they've made terrible move after terrible move, including signing Dame to a supermax. Should have just traded him two years ago, to wherever would have given you the best deal at the time. Probably would be in a better spot out then they currently are, just probably wouldn't have Scoot. But, now? Just trade Dame to Miami, find a third team to take Herro, and be done with it.

Is that really tampering? He's letting teams that call know what Dame is thinking, which is what the teams calling want to know.

Sorry, guys, but it's already over for next year. The Dallas Mavericks have signed Dante Exum. The league isn't ready for the Return of Ex.

This is the most boring start to a free agency is years. Biggest move is Bruce Brown to the Pacers or Gabe Vincent to the Lakers. Seems like everybody else just stayed. Oh, and Joe Ingles to the Magic, which I don't get if he wants to win a title.

Been seeing a lot of Hawks fans saying that Collins shooting dropped off so much after breaking his finger, that he isn't the same player he was a few years ago. Rather that's true or not, I have no idea. I just know he's not Rudy Gay and that makes me happy.
