Your best comparison to Dillinger Ecape Plan is probably Between The Buried And Me, most noteably their latest album "Alaska". I wouldn't say Mudvayne were a more commercial version of DEP, theres a different technical style to them, far too many groove jazz styles in the bass and drums compared to a lot of Dillingeres harsh, accurate style.

It was Greg, the latest singer who shit into a bag and threw it into the crowd, I was there and remember it very well, I believe it was one of his first shows with DEP. I think they've been banned from the Carling Festival after Leeds 04, that was pretty insane especially as the guy climbing the central support beam nearly fell off! Amazing band none the less, highlight for me was 2 nights in a row watching them support System of a Down in Manchester, amazing both nights.

Just listened to 'Where'd You Go' and I love it, great track, Jonah puts a nice backing to the girls vocals. I recommend you check out some of his stuff, its pretty varied, from his early days in the Emo Godfathers that are Far, to his solo stuff which ranges from solo acoustic to full band rock, to Gratitude, which is very Jimmy Eat World meets U2.

Ain't really had a listen to this yet, although I know my homeslice, Jonah Matranga is singing some parts on "Where'd You Go?" & "Red To Black" so it should be interesting to see as I'd never expect Jonah to team with Mike Shinobi.

I finished "Human Punk" by John King a while ago. A damn good read and I recommend it to anyone.

I'd highly recommend onelinedrawing aka Jonah Matranga. His work is really varied but he does a lot of just solo acoustic stuff too.

The D.E.P destroy all, I' ve seen them live about 6 times in the UK, and I fucking loved them everytime. Seeing them support SOAD on both nights in a row an Manchester was fucking awesome, equally as good both nights. Their Leeds Fesival 2004 appearance was truely insane, I think they've been banned from Leeds after taht show.

Ah well, I know who I'm putting money on to win this match, good ol Argen...

All I can say is, get the fuck in Burscough, 2 minutes down the road from me, and the beat Gillingham 3-2, it's the first time in the FA Cup since 1980 and it's going well so far!
