It looks like Reading are going to do their usual, slow first half of season, hit form after Christmas routine, thats been in affect since McDermott took charge. This would be the 4th season in a row if we keep up the good work.

Tom Ince would be a great signing for Reading. Doubt we are actually seriously pursuing him though, probably faking interest to keep the fans from moaning that we are spending next to no money on lower league players.

4 wins now on the trot for Reading ( 2 fa cup and 2 prem). I like the FA Cup, its been a catalyst for good performances for us the past couple of seasons, and has usually coincided with good league form

Ive been suprised no teams like Newcastle or Aston Villa have taken a punt on Kevin Doyle. Probably get him for about 4m and could do a decent job with the right partner up front.

I think it will be ultimately Wigan and Southampton who join us in the championship. I see Villa surviving and Sunderland cutting it close. The only saving grace is that we barely spent any money, so won't be in a bad state if we do get relegated. Southampton could have problems though.

As a Reading fan, our team is in no shape or form anywhere near a premier league standard team. Its hard to watch, when i think we are the only team in the top two tiers that play 4-4-2 with two average championship calibre Defensive Midfielders. We play very boring football, and very badly too. We have been accidently exciting to watch from a neutrals stand point ( last nights result, the 4-3 Man Utd game and the 7-5 Arsenal game) but when you loose 6 games on the trot, and manage to get only 1 point from playing Wigan, Southampton, QPR, Aston Villa and Sunderland, it becomes very difficult to see where the next win will come from. *Also you know your in trouble when QPR win their first game of the season in mid december yet are still above you in the table.*

I can confirm, I almost went.

Painful to watch. Got offered ticket to last nights game, almost turned it down as I knew it would be like pulling teeth. Went anyway and almost left at half time due to boredom. Felt like watching a pre season friendly between a world class premier leauge team, and an average league 1 side.

Saw Rancid in Bristol on wednesday, good times and good vibes.

His "injury" was a bit iffy anyway, he was unhappy at not being played and spoke out and then got "injured for exactly a month". He has been brought in, and then seemingly told his style of play doesn't suit us, which I can see why he can be frustrated. Especially since we are devoid of anything creative in midfield, with Leigherwood playing like he is running through mud, and Jay Tabb, as much as I commend his effort, has always been a squad player at best in the last 4 championship seasons, and should not be anywhere near a premier league starting 11. Last nights game we had 3 defenders on the bench ( one being the dinosaur Ian Harte), a 37 yr old defensive midfielder who has only played 10 minutes of competitive football since early 2011 ( and is essentially retired) and 2 youngsters who had yet to debut for the team). Definitely going to give Derby a run for their money as worst Prem team ever.

As a Reading fan, we are absolute dross. Not blaming our players as they vastly out performed in the championship, but We play an outdated form of football and McDermott seems to have lost the dressing room, Jason Roberts and Danny Guthrie have both been dropped due to speaking out at the tactics.

I impulse brought a Deftones ticket for London. So glad I did, the new album is killer.

Going to see The Bronx twice next week, one of the gigs is in a 150 capacity venue. Its going to be wild.

Not very good, thats probably done our season in now. To feel such a high then to feel so low after. I feel QPR are gunna hammer us and I fear for McDerrmott to be honest.
