i went from 2003 up until 2010, gave it a miss last year (knew it would be shit, but still depressing as i live literally 3 minutes from site and can hear it all). I think up until 2005 it was brilliant, was full of like minded people who enjoyed good music and having a laugh, each year the line up got a little bit more radio 1/nme ish and the kids in the leavers hoodie become the majority and the atmosphere died a slow horrible death, as the people who go are there just for the sake of it, and are only there for the Kings Of Leons and the like. This year I can guarantee you will be full of 16 yr old chino wankers, and At The Drive In headlining the NME stage to a crowd of 13 people whilst some dross like Kasabian will play a turgid set in front of 60,000 mongoloids.

So glad that Mcdermott has stayed. Makes sense, new owners, a club and squad with bags of potential, he's been with the club in some capacity for over 10 years, and we're on a roll and could realistically be playing prem football next season, whereas he can go to Wolves and potentially go down and tarnish his rising reputation.

If you want heavy go to the first night of the ATP:I'll Be Your Mirror event at Alexandra Palace. Slayer, Sleep, The Melvins and Wolves In The Throne Room. What a stoners treat! Plus Big Business are probably likley to play too seeing as their around europe at the time and members are in The Melvins. All that for 39 quid too!

Going to the Oxford Academy tonight for the Everytime I Die gig, with support from Trash Talk. Apart from Melvins last month at Electric Ballroom in Camden (which was amazing) its been a quiet year for me in terms of gigs. Massively jealous of my mates who went to ATP over the weekend, had no funds to go tihs year and they got to stay in the luxury chalets with free tickets.

the only bug I ever had was in a tag match in RTWM where i had to finish it by pinning in the ring, the ref would refuse to count out the AI and john cena was on the ramp broken, you couldn't touch him, he'd just reverse everything, no questions for about 10 minutes before i realised what was going on.

Glad to see my home team (Reading)and my spiritual team (Villa) doing well. I was down at the Reading V Man C game and that was tense, also went to Villa Park for the first time in 6 years to see reading v villa, which was a weird experience.
