  1. Yesterday Stoke beat Leeds 4-0 away. Alot of people, including myself i'll admit, thought it was a bad idea bringing back Tony Pulis as manager and up untill yesterday they were right. But Pulis has made some great loan signing such as Lee Hendrie and Rory Delap who i hope will put us in the top half of the table, especially if we can sign Lee Hendrie in the January Transfer Window.
  2. When i was younger my Dad & Uncle took me to see Stoke City, my Dad himself is a Man Utd fan but because Stoke was the first team i saw play they became my team. My 2nd team is local club Hednesford Town who i've been following much more often recently, they play in the UniBond Premier and are near the top of the table, if anyone wants to know. A team outside of England that i keep an eye on is AC Milan, although i mainly watch Milan's Champions League, i do download highlights of the Serie A games from a Milan fansite though. Internationally i just like England.
  3. Stoke's are similair to Leicester's. For adults they range from £19-£25 depending on where you choose to sit. We average about 12,000 at these prices. Plus with Tony Pulis back in charge, football at Stoke is all about defend, defend, defend which is really boring so fans don't want to pay £20+ to be bored. Stoke also have "fan fixture" days, our first one was too Derby which got over 20,000 at a mid-week fixture. Ticket Prices went back up for the game against Birmingham and attendance dropped to 12,000. This season i've been down to see my local non-league club Hednesford Town more times than Stoke because it's both more exciting and much cheaper, so even if we lose or it's a boring game i don't feel like i've been ripped-off. I think alot of people like me are switching to the non-league especially when you look at the attendances of teams like AFC Wimbledon, AFC Telford and Kettering. It's a far cheaper option. I still plan on heading down to Stoke a couple of times this season but even going to 4 games hits the £100 mark, whilst 4 Hednesford games are only £20. EDIT: TAFKA add me as a Stoke fan, please.
  4. The Kerrang Awards get worse & worse ever year. It's a joke now.
  5. Typical Stoke, get one of the easiest draws in the Cup and lose. Yet another 1st Round League Cup exit.
  6. Stoke drew 0-0 with Birmingham. Good result i guess, specially since Birmingham had a penalty, although Stoke's finishing needs to improve.
  7. Vincent Pericard just scored for Stoke to put us 1-0 up against Derby. Pericard's first goal at Stoke, hopefully first of many.
  8. I watched the Championship goals on ITV this morning. Stoke only lost because Southend dived for the penalty which they scored. However Sidibe & Pericard did look good up front which is something positive at least.
  9. Stoke lost 1-0 to Southend. It's going to be one of those years.
  10. I hadn't seen any older Who so i bought The Five Doctors DVD a while back which was a TV Movie. I personally enjoyed it, involved all 5 Doctors although Baker is only in it for a very short while and the original Doctor is played by someone else. It also features Cybermen, Daleks and The Master.
  11. For Wales support TNS, The New Saints, formerly known as Total Network Solutions.
  12. Hope: Stoke can reach the play-offs (or atleast be just outside them). Plus buy a goalscorer (especially after last season's goal drought). Fear: Pulis doesn't buy, which is exactly what is happening now and we finish below 14th.
  13. Joint 3rd for me, not bad at all.
  14. I think that's San Marino you're thinking of Lost Soul. Unless 2 Teams have never won a game, which is quite easily possible.
  15. I've always like Sum with their best song being "Pain For Pleasure". Glad they'll be carrying on releasing music.
  16. Spunge - I don't know if they fit into the catergory or not but they say they're Ska.
  17. Stoke Fan here and it's been an average season on the field for us. Off the field it's been arguements between the manager and the board etc. We could've done better be packed up after Christmas. And can't wait to play the Blues again after what happened this year in the cup. Should be fun.
  18. There was a thread in the Lounge about the Easy Wrestlers which branched off into a Soccer AM disscussion thread. It was a couple of weeks ago.
  19. After watch local non league team Hednesford have a terrible season i must say a Great Goalkeeper is nothing with a poor defense. One Week we lost 8-0 to Northwich Vic, our Goalkeeper made some good saves that day and generally played well but without a defense he couldn't stop a million shots without some getting past him. However i do think it's very important to have some one that can lead a team in midfield. As midfield players can get back and defend yet also go foward and put balls through to your strikers. So i think a great midfielder is the most important of all.
  20. I don't want Swansea to go up. You can't have a Welsh team in the English Championship/1st Divison although it's the 2nd Divison. Let's just open our gates and let teams around the world play in English League. Anyways i'd like Forest to clinch the last play-off place as i kinda feel sorry for the poor Forest fans who've watched their teams decline from European Champions to a League One side.
