  1. DeAndre Jordan is reconsidering his decision and may meet with the Clippers today.
  2. Jason Pierre-Paul may have blown some fingers off yesterday in a fireworks incident.
  3. Aldridge has chosen the Spurs, according to Adrian Wojnarowski It always made the most sense for him to go there.
  4. The Kings just traded some contracts and 2014 1st rounder Nik Stauskas, along with maybe another pick (not finalized yet) to Philly to clear cap space. The best part is their two main targets... Rajon Rondo and Monta Ellis. Putting together a Rondo/Ellis/Gay/Cousins team is entertaining as hell for all the wrong reasons.
  5. Kevin Love back to the Cavs for 5 years, 110 million Tristan Thompson back to the Cavs for 4 years, 80 million Cavs about to set a record for biggest NBA payroll this season after they use Haywood's contract to get another piece in and re-sign Shumpert/Dellavedova/Smith/LeBron.
  6. So uh.... Sure as hell didn't see that coming...
  7. Detroit and Charlotte will regret passing on Winslow. Steal of the draft for Miami.
  8. I don't think the Lakers have enough assets to get Cousins unless he specifically demands a trade there. Basically all they have to trade is the #2 pick and Julius Randle. It's not enough to get a player of Cousins caliber unless they can get very creative with a 3 team trade.
  9. That's the problem with the way the game is today though. Big men are coming into the league wanting to shoot 3s because that's the way the NBA seems to be going. Everyone wants to be the next Steph Curry, James Harden, or even Dirk Nowitzski, and you see guys like Blake Griffin start to play on the outside of the paint rather than the inside where he should be a dominant player every night. I don't know if a truly dominant inside big man is going to be in the cards going forward because it's not the way kids are seeing the NBA played nowadays. Everything is about shooting jumpers and the Warriors winning a title that way is only going to enhance it, for better or worse.
  10. This Dwayne Wade situation is going to be something to watch closely in the coming weeks. Some local Heat folks (including Dan Lebatard) think him going to the Cavs is becoming a legit possibility this off-season. I don't buy it yet but it is something to monitor. I imagine he'd be the 6th man and play 28-32 MPG, taking a lot of the load off LeBron.
  11. The Cavs can afford to resign everyone and according to Brian Windhorst are preparing for a 100-110 million dollar team salary next year.
  12. LeBron is finals MVP win or lose at this point, and the Cavs are major favorites to win next year with everyone healthy. Just sucks injuries robbed this team of a title because I am fairly certain the Cavs win this series with Kyrie and Love (and maybe in 4-5 games too). Warriors really don't impress me.
  13. Delly wasn't on Curry after he dove into the stands and conveniently Curry started to get hot. Hope Delly's OK for game 4 to guard Curry again. But wow, LeBron is on his way to a best ever series if the Cavs can win this. He's already scored the most points through 3 games in finals history. Who knows what else he has left in him but the Cavs only need to win 2 of the next 4 to be NBA champions. It's surreal (and at the same time, I'm not getting ahead of myself here as this is far from over).
  14. This series is taking years off my life. Delly with the go ahead FTs and the final defensive stop (along with great D on Curry all night)...what a game Cavs!
  15. Keith Britton ‏@KeithBritton86 11s12 seconds ago Kyrie Irving suffered fractured left knee cap. Will have surgery. Out for 3-4 months #Cavs
  16. If Kyrie is out then this will be the most competitive game. Warriors in 4.
  17. And he has been waived, good for the Falcons. Takes a real piece of shit human being to do what he did.
  18. I'd say Thompson is about 50/50 to play game 1 now. The time off is big, but usually NBA players miss at least a week when they get a concussion based on recent history.
  19. His contract has off-set language in it so they will get some of the money back if another team hires Thibs.
  20. I must be missing something "While the head of each department of the organization must be free to make final decisions regarding his department, there must be free and open interdepartmental discussion and consideration of everyone's ideas and opinions. These internal discussions must not be considered an invasion of turf, and must remain private. Teams that consistently perform at the highest levels are able to come together and be unified across the organization-staff, players, coaches, management and ownership. When everyone is on the same page, trust develops and teams can grow and succeed together. Unfortunately, there has been a departure from this culture." Completely unnecessary shots at a guy you already just fired. The Bulls should get over themselves (this is not the first time they've had issues with coaches.)
  21. Perhaps, but the Bulls sure didn't do themselves any favors with this statement they released on it http://www.nba.com/bulls/news/tomthibodeau528
  22. The Bulls finally stopped acting like a petulant child and fired Thibodeau. I imagine he'll end up with the Pelicans or Magic now.
  23. Well, that couldn't have gone any better for the Cavs Warriors are big favorites in the finals (and deservedly so) but I'm sure not going to be the one to count out a LeBron team at any point.
  24. They blew it the final possession of regulation. A long Teague jumper was a low percentage shot, and once it went to OT the Cavs were not going to lose.
  25. There could be no NBA for 8 straight days if both of these series end in 4.
