  1. Browns have come back from down 27-3 to tie it...wow
  2. St Louis will have one of the best defenses in the NFL and that alone will keep them from having a top 10 pick. They won games last year with Kellen Clemons playing because of that defense and Shaun Hill is a better QB than Clemons. 8-8 isn't out of the question for them.
  3. Yes and no. He's clearly a bust as the first overall QB, but RG3 isn't much better. By the end of the year RG3 is on the bench and Kirk Cousins shows that he was the steal of that draft. Cousins showed what he is last year in his 3 game audition (a backup QB). Not sure why everyone glorifies him as some kind of starting caliber player. He was an OK college QB who was drafted in the mid rounds and should have a solid 10 season career as a backup. Not much else.
  4. I find it very hard to believe the Jags and Raiders are still starting Henne and Schaub week 1. Both are flat out terrible at this point who have been outperformed by their backups (and even 3rd string in Schaub's case) and by starting them, they are asking fans to accept an inferior product. Bortles has shown he is ready to play right now while the Raiders would be better off playing Carr if he gets healthy or McGloin. I understand not rushing rookie QB's but playing Henne and Schaub gives the team nothing and likely pisses off the other players on the team who do not want to accept losing, which is what is guaranteed to happen starting those 2.
  5. Blake Bortles is going to make it very hard to keep himself on the bench, especially when the alternative is Chad Henne. Gus Bradley won't want to lose the locker room by playing an inferior QB if Bortles is ready to go week 1.
  6. http://tvline.com/2014/08/04/vince-vaughn-true-detective-season-2-cast-hbo/ Would be a casting out of nowhere...not sure how he would fit into a drama show.
  7. Agreed completely. AJ Green's stats are terrific but Andy Dalton misses on deep balls to him often. It is scary to think what Green would accomplish with Peyton Manning or Aaron Rodgers at QB. He definitely elevates Dalton's play in a big way.
  8. For sure, Manziel is gonna be completely terrible. Just hoping they realize it ASAP and maybe pick Winston after going 3-13 this year with him/Hoyer.
  9. Thank you Bengals for remaining a non SB threat for the foreseeable future with this extension for a mediocre QB, the same guy who has held a SB caliber roster back the last 2 seasons. Not that the Browns will ever benefit from it but it's still nice to know there's a chance.
  10. http://www.foxsports.com/ohio/story/nba-timberwolves-owner-kevin-love-trade-pending-cleveland-cavaliers-080314 I'd expect the Wiggins for Love trade to happen very shortly after August 23rd (the date when Wiggins can be traded)
  11. Love will be traded before training camp begins. There's no doubt about it really. The TWolves can say whatever they want but they aren't going into a season with a giant distraction on their team. They may still get Wiggins but either way there's a clock on this and the TWolves are running short on it. They are in a bad spot here.
  12. Reports coming out that Love has requested a trade to Cleveland and Stephen A Smith is reporting he will only resign with Cleveland. If this is the case then Minnesota has lost most of their leverage and Wiggins is probably off the table in trade talks (not sure he was ever on the table despite what Chris Broussard wants you to believe). I'd expect a deal centered on Waiters/Bennett/multiple 1sts (there's also a rumor Waiters ends in in Philly and Thad Young in Minnesota as part of a 3 team deal).
  13. I read that as Ray Rice pissed on Art Modell's grave. Fuck Cleveland though, this whole offseason starting with the Alex Mack thing has shown to me that they deserve everything they get as far as success goes. Because reducing a whole town/fan base to 1 idiot is completely logical. The Ray Rice suspension is terrible and should be at least 4 games (likely more) and everyone knows it, and it's a big black eye on the NFL and Goodell (who surely doesn't need any more bad press after he's been such a terrible commissioner). Disappointing to see.
  14. Now the rumor is that the Cavs and TWolves haven't even discussed Wiggins (coming from a Minnesota beat guy) and the Warriors also will not offer Klay Thompson still. Lot's of smoke out there right now.
  15. Looks like the Cavs are going to include Wiggins for Love because LeBron wants Love (and has reached out to him already via Wojo) so I'd expect something like Wiggins/Bennett/cap filler for Love to happen soon.
  16. I've heard from Brian Windhorst that the Suns may not match a big offer for Bledsoe (he mentioned Bledsoe as a backup plan for Cleveland if they didn't get LeBron) so Thomas may end up as a replacement for him. They are also making a late run at Luol Deng.
  17. As Quom mentioned, it's when the TV deal expires. It's expected the cap will jump from 63 to 80 mil that season, which makes this a brilliant financial move for LeBron. He will get a 4 or 5 year max worth a lot more from the Cavs in 2016 by doing this.
  18. The Bulls signing Pau would knock them out of the Melo hunt. Can't afford both.
  19. The Heat may sign Luol Deng or Trevor Ariza. That team is likely a top 4 seed in the East but it's a big fall from last year. We'll see what happens.
  20. The Bosh deal reeks of desperation. No idea why Miami is rolling out the same group LeBron just abandoned for next year but a lineup of Napier-Wade-Granger-McRoberts-Bosh isn't contending next year or ever and this Bosh deal hurts their flexibility going forward.
  21. http://www.si.com/nba/2014/07/11/lebron-james-cleveland-cavaliers This has been in the works for a while (it didnt just get written). What a huge moment
  22. There's a lot of speculation it is a meeting just to let Riley know in person that he's leaving. We'll see.
  23. For sure. I'll be very skeptical of it until it happens but there is way too much smoke right now around it. If it doesn't happen it wouldn't shock me but I am prepared to see it at this point. I think the Cavs have a lot of appealing parts to him (Kyrie, Wiggins, Waiters, an owner willing to spend anything, 3 2015 1sts) and they have a good shot to go get a big 3rd piece if LeBron commits. Miami has no chance to improve because Bosh and Wade won't take big enough paycuts. The writing is on the wall.
  24. LeBron is very likely going back to Cleveland. It's been rumored locally for a few days and now the national media is buying into it (Chris Broussard said they are the new favorites). Gilbert just sent a plane down to Miami today with Big Z in it for whatever reason. Look for the reunion to happen no later than Tuesday (and will likely leak for real by tomorrow).
  25. I'm not so sure about that. As long as Gordon has something to offer in terms of talent there will always be a team willing to put up with his shit.look no further than people like Chad Johnson and Terrell Owens for proof. It isn't the first and certainly isn't the last time that there will be a locker room cancer with tremendous talent that any team would be happy to have and deal with. He has never gone a full year in his football career without failing a drug test. He's not going to be allowed in the NFL again, IMO.
