  1. Any chance Rated-R is still around, or someone has this and can re-up it? I've found V3, which I started altering before I found this. V4 would be great!
  2. My heart fluttered a bit when I saw this was released. So excited. Unfortunately I have the flu and fell asleep shortly after downloading it yesterday evening. I'm toying with it now, i've played through my first event and am on my way to UFC 2. Because I watched UFC 2 recently, I know that many of the ages for the random guys who debut in January that fought at UFC 2 are off. Johnny Rhodes, for example, should be 39. This is relatively minor though because none of these guys figure to be permanent fixtures on the MMA scene a few years down the road anyhow. Edit: Masakatsu Funaki should be better rated. At least as a tap out artist. Outside of Royce he was probably the best fighter in the world at that point. At worst, third behind Royce and Ken. Royce Gracie won the first three UFCs, facing Ken Shamrock at all three, in the semi-finals of UFC 1 and the finals of UFC 2 & 3. Now with only one fight left and a name value too high to resign, he's likely done for awhile. Bas and Severn debuted at UFC 4 and faced off in the finals. Bas won to become the second unique UFC champion in history.
  3. I gotta admit. I'm a huge fan of the show and almost never have a bad thing to say about it, but I feel like this was a very underwhelming start to the final season. For the first time ever, I found myself bored while watching LOST. I didn't feel satisfied with the answers we were given, and the questions that popped up didn't carry the same intrigue for me as they have in the past. LOST is one of those shows that always made it absolutely necessary for me to watch the next episode. This episode(s) didn't have that. It'd be one thing if it were mid-season, but as the season premiere? I was highly disappointed.
  4. Dana has said for awhile now that they'd sell minority stakes, but only in the condition that it's purely monetary and they don't actually have any power within the company.
  5. I'm looking forward to Hughes/Gracie. By far the best fight they could've made for either man since neither will be challenging for any titles in the future but they still get a fight that's going to attract a lot of attention. This would be a fantastic send-off for Hughes if he were to retire following a win in this fight.
  6. Seems an odd decision to use Penn on the same card as Silva/Belfort when you consider the rash of injuries as of late and the problems putting together solid main events. Not that i'm complaining. If this holds true it should be a solid card.
  7. 1. LOST 2. Nip/Tuck 3. Dexter 4. Angel 5. Buffy the Vampire Slayer 6. Bones 7. The 4400 8. The Sopranos 9. The Office (US) 10. NCIS
  8. Why would you assume a title shot? Florian is one win removed from a loss to Penn and as much as I like the guy, it's not like Gomi has been setting the world on fire. I'd say at best they'd both need another win after that one.
  9. So I don't know if this will yield any useful suggestions, but I figured i'd give it a shot. My friend and I are hosting a hip-hop radio show on my college radio station this year, and our first show is this coming Monday. However, we do not yet have a name for the show. The lack of the name makes it hard to advertise so I'd like to sort this out sooner rather than later. If you have any suggestions, feel free to throw them out. Pop culture and modern hip-hop music references are a plus. We'll be playing mostly what is current and hot, but there will be the occasional throwback or unknown artist that we'd like to turn people on to.
  10. Not sure why. As Gabriel said, Derek keeps up with most stuff throughout the month anyway. So why would we need anyone else to take the data and work on it and release it? Don't see your point. I'll send Derek here and get his input. Because I was operating under the assumption that if Derek would've been satisfied releasing what amounts to a monthly roster update we'd already have that. He said before that he is busy and so the updates take longer than he would like, plus the updates have a current quality standard that would be somewhat diminished by more frequent updates. If Derek wanted to do it, that'd be swell and i'm all for it, but it just didn't seem like something he'd support.
  11. Seems like it'd have to be a separate project done by ToS fans with their permission if it was going to work.
  12. Jardine, Henderson, or Franklin are the only options that really spring to mind. Franklin is still suspended and wouldn't get a proper camp in, though he'd take the fight anyway. Henderson should be fighting Marquardt next for a title shot at MW, but he did say he'd consider a fight at 205 if he didn't get an immediate title shot. That would be a fight i'd love to see. Jardine is coming off a loss but he's a recognizable name and probably the best choice if they can't get Henderson. It'd be a tough opponent that would test Tito but wouldn't be too stern of a test for his comeback fight, a la Coleman.
  13. Is there anyone that has kept their data up to date and would like to share it with me to hold me over until the next official release? I could update it myself but at this point that would take forever. I probably wouldn't get it done before the next release.
  14. Wrong. I do not, but only because I'm poor. To be successful at MMA betting you just play the odds, much like any other sport. If you pick based on "winners" you'll fail. You have to play by the lines, even if you think someone will lose they may be good betting value at +240 and thus makes a good bet. Other times you'll have good insider information from following the sport and can see upsets happening and take advantage of line errors. I understand the concept of sports betting. I still don't feel it's a profitable venture in the long term. Nobody can be certain because MMA as a sport and MMA sport betting even more so are in their infancy, but the list of profitable sports bettors is pretty slim. The NBA is probably the easiest to do well in. Also, to clarify, if one wanted to be very selective in their betting they could find the occasional bet with very high +EV, bet on it, and make money nearly every time. However, those are not as common as I expect many novice gamblers would think, and the low frequency means that it would be difficult to earn a substantial amount doing so.
  15. I do not. I think MMA is too volatile of a sport to be successful over the long term betting on it.
  16. I don't disagree that Rogers has ways to win, I just think the likelihood of Rogers being able to execute these game plans against a fighter who adapts as well as Fedor is very slim. While it is true that Rogers could have a better ground game than we've seen, it would be silly for a promoter to try and build around him based on that. When it comes to fights, you have to go by what you've seen in the ring/cage. Every guy is a NCAA Div 1 caliber wrestler with a BJJ black belt, fast hands, and a brutal thai clinch in the gym and when training for a fight. Even guys that do have undeniably great skills sometimes elect not to use them properly when it comes time to fight, look at Jorge Gurgel for example. Like I said, i'm not saying it's not a possibility, but until I see proof, it's a moot point.
  17. If I'm stating a prediction, it's Fedor by Submission in Round 1. That said, out of all the Heavyweights right now in American MMA, I see two with the ability to really test Fedor. Brock Lesnar and Brett Rogers. I'm not saying that Rogers is a top 3 Heavyweight in the world. What I'm saying is that he matches up well enough with Fedor that he could give him some serious problems. Rogers cuts weight to make 265, and he's 6'5". He'll have a significant size advantage. Also, I'll probably get laughed at, but Andrei Arlovski was clearly winning his fight with Emelianenko before he tried that crazy ass jumping knee that left his chin out in the open. I think if Rogers comes at Fedor hard and uses his striking, and uses his size advantage to control where he wants the fight... push him up against the cage and use his Muay Thai skills... I think he has a legitimate shot at putting Fedor out. Now, this is made all the better for Rogers and Strikeforce both, in that he's such a young fighter, and this is Fedor. If he loses, oh well. He stepped in there with The Last Emperor and gave it a shot. If he wins though, the rewards are great for both him and the promotion. I've been saying this since EliteXC, but Brett Rogers is THE GUY to market around. He's the future of the Heavyweight division outside of the UFC. I'm not laughing at you, but I will correct you. He may have been winning the fight on points due to being more aggressive to that point, but it has been proven through slow motion replay many times over that Arlovski did not land any punches on Fedor. Although it looked like it at normal speed, slow-mo reveals that Fedor was dodging all of them. The man's reflexes are not human, it was Matrix-esque. Brett Rogers is not a well-rounded enough fighter, at this point, to market around. If he improves his skills, then he could be your guy, but right now it'd be foolish. The best result for Strikeforce is Fedor winning this fight decisively. If Fedor lost for whatever reason, Rogers isn't going to be the next unstoppable force. A top guy? Yeah, maybe someday; but he'll lose more frequently than Fedor will. You don't wanna sacrifice the top fighter in the world to someone like that.
  18. UFC 102: Couture vs. Nogueira - August 29th Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Randy Couture - Decision Keith Jardine vs. Thiago Silva - TKO, Round 2 Jake Rosholt vs. Chris Leben - Decision Nate Marquardt vs. Demian Maia - Decision Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Brandon Vera - TKO Round 2 Gabe Gonzaga vs. Chris Tuchscherer - TKO, Round 1 Mike Russo vs. Justin McCully - Decision Tim Hague vs. Todd Duffee - TKO, Round 1 Nick Catone vs. Mark Munoz - Decision Marcus Aurelio vs. Evan Dunham - Submission, Round 1 Ed Herman vs. Aaron Simpson - TKO, Round 1 Very difficult card to predict, IMO.
  19. Quinton Jackson has been cast to play B.A. Baracus in an A-Team movie remake. He apparently pities the fool that has to fight Lyoto Machida.
  20. If he defends it will be against Dan Henderson. I think he should vacate the title to, but he shouldn't make a permanent move anywhere. There's no need to. He wants Superfights and he can go cross-divisions for that. 205 would be the preferred weight class and the occasional Heavyweight tilt if interesting enough (Cro Cop perhaps if victorious over dos Santos). If he vacates the belt though, he should at least not go back to middleweight. It'd look bad to see the unbeaten champ who gave up the belt still wrecking the division when there's nothing better to do.
  21. Liddell and Irvin... I'll watch. Fedor was supposed to be on the show too but ABC wouldn't co-promote with M1.
  22. I don't see how anyone could possibly think this is true.
