  1. It's true. I've no qualms over KDB. His absence and/or success elsewhere aren't an eternal hole in my heart like with, say, Schurrle.

And indeed, our net spending has still been substantially less than any of Man City, Man United, Arsenal or Liverpool over the past few years, so I'm not fussed about the extra cash.

As for his actual footballing talent, he's good but I accept that no club can have All The Players, particularly when playing the Loan Farm system of balancing the books with continuous incomings and outgoings. I want to play Oscar and Hazard and Fabregas and (sometimes) Willian and so on. If we kept KDB, one of these would not necessarily get played, and I'm not completely sold on the idea of there being a massively obvious chasm in quality between KDB and Oscar, for example. At least, for the one half of a season where Oscar performs anyway. :shifty:

I actually think De Bruyne is about one or two classes above Oscar. He had a fantastic season with Wolfsburg.

  2. Anyone watched him a lot? I've seen youtube clips and all that from a while back, but wondering if anyone had watched him more than that. Either way, seems like much needed pace and flair. Couldn't help but love this tweet I saw about him from a Spurs account.

Son Heung-min is the only player in history to score a Bungesliga hattrick on a losing side. Sounds perfect for us.

I fucking love the guy. He's like, super super good. Pacy, electric and very skilled player. Could be a difference maker for Spurs.

  3. Mangala has looked brilliant so far this season, I don't see why they'd want rid of him.

Also Thauvin to Newcastle is expected to be completed this week. I'm doubtful about it all but I will be giddy if he signs, he's exactly what's needed in midfield at the minute!

When he's on his day, unstoppable. But there's too much inconsistency in his game to make me believe he's going to be the guy to solve our midfield.

  4. If Rolando Aarons stays fit he could potentially be amazing. He was very good last year in the glimpses we got of him.

Like a very raw, left footed, less cuntish Raheem Sterling. Hopefully the new deal is sorted before he kicks a ball this season.

I might be overrating the guy a lot right now, but from what he's shown I believe he is superior in certain ways to Raheem. A more skilled dribbler, and better decision-making.
