For anyone that's playing this on PC, does it look exactly the same on low texture quality compared to high? I changed it because the globe in the WrestleMania 33 arena was being glitchy and thought it was to do with my graphics settings (it wasn't, same thing happens even on low), and I'm sure it looks exactly the same...

I wanna play the actual courses online, dammit! Guess we gotta wait for Mario Party 11/12/whatever for that! Game still looks fun, anyhow, and I might be weird, but I don't mind playing single-player against AI.

Really feels like there's a huge difference in this year's gameplay with overalls. Beating a low overall guy seems pretty easy as say, John Cena, but if it was the other way round, it'd be much more of a hill to climb. Never really noticed this being a thing in previous game, but it really comes out here.

A nice touch with the commentary this year is that if they're in the middle of an explanation or an anecdote that gets interrupted by calling a move or something, they'll go back to it by saying "you previously mentioned..." and things like that. It's a small thing, but it's pretty neat.

Okay, no. The WrestleMania 30 triple threat is reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally the worst. God fucking damn it takes ages to do, and I got RIGHT to the end, but Orton broke up the submission about a second before Batista was going to tap, Bryan rolls out the ring, Orton hits the RKO on Batista for the win. Urgh. Horrible. That was something like my tenth attempt as well.

Na, you can't edit things like height and weight in the game, unfortunately. I imagine it's possible through mods on PC but that'd be the only way to do it without creating a CAW with the actual wrestler as a base (if you can even height and weight then?), I think.

The showcase match vs. Orton is the woooooooooooooooooorst. oh hey I did it, only took 200 tries!

The commentary in showcase mode is super inconsistent, it's ridiculous. The commentary is mainly showcase match-specific but then someone goes into regular game commentary and you get stuff like Michael Cole berating NXT-era Bryan for 10 minutes and then going 'Daniel Bryan is the future of WWE, he has to win!' and then the entire team discussing how Bryan won the match that you're currently playing and then the next 5 years of his feud with The Miz. I don't remember this being an issue in the showcase mode in other games.

You have to go to the VC purchasables section on the main menu (I think it's under the store tab?) and click the 'unlock everything' button when it gives you the option.

ok yeah, diving finishers are waaaaaaaaaaay too easy to reverse. I've reversed like 6 or 7 diving finishers in my current match alone, and my AI opponent has probably reversed just as many.

Ha, yup I'm doing a similar thing in Universe, but making it entirely random, which includes the brands and the championships that defended on each brand. Somehow, I ended up with precisely zero women's titles. I ended up making 5 brands, and their names are based on the logos that I randomised: NXT (just the NXT '10 logo): Eagle (some clip art image of an eagle) Mexico (Mexican flag, with the watermark image being the Indian flag) ECW championship (it's an image of the silver ECW title) Backlash (Backlash '18 PPV logo) It's so damn stupid. I love it. Also, I'm already up to 20 hours of playtime in 2K19. I only got 24 hours total in 2K18. This is such a marked improvement on last year's game, in my eyes.

Oh, no, that's just me being bad at writing lol. I added Gable & Mysterio to the roster myself! I think the only real difference from reality in Universe Mode is that Rousey is a free agent, but I guess that's because she's DLC.

I think 205 Live in Universe Mode (the default roster with Chad Gable and Rey Mysterio) is the most fun I've had playing a WWE game in years. Love that cruiserweight stuff. Seems like diving finishers are really easy to reverse this year, though. Reversed Mustafa Ali's finisher 3 times as Rey Mysterio, but it took me 4(!) finishers to finally put Ali down.

Just had another ridiculous match on 205 Live, Noam Dar (me) vs. Akira Tozawa and I don't know if Tozawa's finisher is for some reason easier to reverse than others, but he never successfully hit to, and I reversed it five times, and he reversed my signature twice.

Just played an absolutely incredible match. Jeff Hardy (US champ) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Velveteen Dream vs. Andrade Almas, and god damn it was good. 4.5 stars, and it ended when I hit Jeff (playing as Dream) with the Purple Rainmaker, Almas gets me in a grapple, and Nakamura steals the pin for the three. So damn good. Everyone had hit at least 2 or 3 finishers each by the end of it, and I'd hit my finisher maybe 3 or 4 times and each time it'd get broken up at 2.999.

So I just lost a match to Curt Hawkins... oops. also table matches are annoying because you usually have to fill the 'table meter' to be able to put them through tables... but then sometimes the tables just break anyway without the meter being filled, which is kinda nice because it allows for a surprise victory but also a pain because why implement the system if it doesn't really work?

Although you can't use Starrcade 83 in Universe Mode for some reason, and Velocity '03 arena's titantrons act as minitrons instead. I swear WWE games are full of these little issues that I find on release day every year. Hopefully these things get patched soon, although they are only minor annoyances.

Why can't they ever get the SmackDown fist stage correct? It used to be that one of the titantrons would display as a minitron instead, but now? Both of them display as a minitron! Why did they make it WORSE??

There are so many games coming out soon and they're absolutely going to be burning a few holes in my pocket. Not sure which ones to get at all, with Spyro, Mario Party, Red Dead, Smash Bros, Just Cause 4 all coming out soon, it's a difficult choice!

Yeah!! The Button's fun. It's obviously not as funny as Taskmaster, but it's not at all intended to be, it's good light entertainment. Nice that they got Alex Horne as the button as well. It's a real cute show!
