  1. And it's really disappointing. It only has 8 matches. Well, if we're being honest about it it is only 6 matches as the ones against Honky Tonk Man and HHH were basically just quick time events. They included Rick Rude. Why couldn't they put in their WrestleMania V as well as their SummerSlam 1989 match as well? Or his 1991 Rumble Match with the Sheik? He got his win back as SummerSlam 1991 which is in there. Or his re-match against Savage at SummerSlam 1992? Even if they didn't have license for Hercules to do the WrestleMania IV match they had other options. The modles of Andre The Giant and Macho Man look like shit and the Hogan Modal looks ridiculously fake as well. And for the live of me I can't figure out why we can't use Sid Vicious outside of the showcase mode. I'll think twice about getting the Season Pass next year.
  2. I have a problem. I bought the season pass when the game was released. So when the last two Showcase DLCs were released I could simply download them for free. Now the Warrior Showcase is out and despite my Season Pass I still have to pay 9.99 to download it. Anyone else has that problem as well?
  3. Yes he is. And personally I don't need to know more about him. They told us just enough about him so that we had a modicum of understanding as to how his mind works and why he does what he does. Anything more would've killed the suspense about him. I get that they are probably going to establish how Saul came to know Gus but I really hope that they don't go beyond that. Saul never knew Gus. He knew a guy who knew a guy. Mike worked for Gus. I don't see the problem with getting a better glimpse into his past. That's what Better Call Saul is all about. We're exploring Saul's life as well as Mikes life. Judging by the incredible episode based on Mike, I don't see why anyone wouldn't want more of that. Okay, then I misremembered that detail. And that episode about Mike was great. Mike's character is integral to Saul's story so they had to tell his storie and how it relates to Mike's and Saul's relationship and I'm happy they did. It was a great moment. But I simply don't want to know more about Gus. I'm sue that they would do a good job but I feel certain characters just need to be enigmatic and Gus is one of those. I don't care about his backstory. I already know enough about him. I stand by my point. Tell us how Mike got to know Gus but don't go beyond that.
  4. I hate the need to explain everything and everyone. Why can't some characters simply remain enigmatic? To give you some more examples, why did the writers of the Halloween movies feel like they always need to explain why Michael Myers kills? I found him much more threatening when he just was a kid that went off the deep end one day with no explanation. Neither the Thorn curse from Halloween 4 through 6 nor the more plausible broken home scenario from the Rob Zombie reboots managed to live up to Michael. Especially former one reduced him from a force of nature to a common psycho. I'll also never understand why anyone would want to read or watch a Hannibal Lecter origin story.
  5. BTW I still couldn't resolve this. Anyone else here got the same problem? I've just had this happen to me today and I thought it was something to do with the new update Really? Does it still happen? Because from what I understand the new update was supposed to get rid of that bug. I haven't downloaded the update yet so I can't really tell you if it actually fixes the bug.
  6. Did he do that? Could be.
  7. I know. But technically they're a different band with only one album that has split up so bite me Coverdale/Page - Coverdale/Page (1993) A collaboration bewtween Whitesnake and former Deep Purple singer David Coverdale as well as legendary Led Zepplin guitarist Jimmy Page. Started in 1991 at the suggestion of a label-executive of the label they both were signed to. But rumor has it Page only agreed to do it to rile-up his Zepplin Bandmate Robert Plant to get him to work with Page as he was reluctant to do so any many people considered Coverdale a Plant-wannabe. Musically it sounds like Page trying to draw on his time with Zepplin and most of the time with good results. I am one of the people who enjoy this album a lot. The weak link is Coverdale though. Not because he is trying very hard to sound like Plant but because you can hear that his voice is starting to give out on him. He never managed to recover from the sinus infection he caught while working in Whitesnake's "1987" and in the coming years it would only get worse. If you want proof look up "Whitesnake 1997 live" on Youtube. After the album was released in March of 1992 they originally planned to do an arena tour. But that was canceled because of insufficient ticket sales and they only ever played some shows in Japan. They split up the same year. Coverdale went on to reunite and split-up Whitesnake a few times with varying degrees of success while also recording a solo album. Page continued his solo career and ended up collaborating with Plant on a unplugged live album in 1994 and a studio album in 1998.
  8. Heaven And Hell - The Devil You Know (2009) A reunion of the Dio Era-Back Sabbath Line-Up which was active from 1979 to 1982 and then again from 1991 to 1992. Rhino record decided to make a Black Sabbath compilation featuring songs of the 3 studio albums and 1 live album they did with Ronnie James Dio. To get fans to buy the thing (because why would you buy a compilation like this if you already have the album?) they got Iommi and Dio to write a few new songs to be featured on it. They got original Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler to work with them as well. Originally drummer Bill Ward was supposed to play on these tracks too but he declined citing musical differences. So they got Vinny Appice instead who played on 2 out of the 3 albums. They recorded three new tracks and because Iommi and Geezer were bored to play the same songs every year on Ozzfest with Ozzy and wanted to get creative again they decided to turn this one-off thing into a full fledged reunion. They couldn't use the Sabbath name though since technically Sabbath with Ozzy was still active (which didn't stop Ozzy to sue Iommi over the name anyway but that is a whole other story). So they decided to go with Heaven And Hell instead, named after the first album they recorded with Dio. After doing some tours they decided to record an album. It was released in 2009. Musically the album continues where 1992's “Dehumanizer” left of. Which means that it is very doomy and slow. They weren't going for the NWoBHM-influenced vibe of the first two albums they did. Iommi's riffs were as pounding and heavy as ever and despite his age Dio could still sing like a god. It was a great album that rips their more recent album with Ozzy to shreds if you as me. They were going to record another album but unfortunately Dio was diagnosed with Stomach cancer in late 2009 and lost his fight with cancer on May 16th 2010.
  9. Jesus, It'll take a wonder for Saul to get Mike out if this. I mean, we obviously know that in the end it will work out somehow since if it wouldn't Mike is never going to appear in Breaking Bad. I'm just really looking forward to find out what kind of curve ball they'll be throwing us next week.
  10. California Breed - s/t (2014) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWHFRzcNpow They were a Hard/Blues Rock band formed by Glenn Hughes (formerly of Deep Purple and Trapeze) and Jason Bonham along with guitarist Andrew Watt after Hughes' and Bonham's former band "Black Country Communion" broke up. The album is much more straightforward and uncomplicated than their BBC stuff and doesn't feature any keyboards. But it is a good rock album nevertheless and Hughes still is a insanely good singer for someone his age. But sadly the band simply wasn't meant to be. Jason Bonham left pretty soon after the album was recorded. He was replaced by former Queens Of The Stone Age drummer Joey Castillo. After their tour the band went quiet and earlier this year it was announced that they had disbanded. Symfonia - In Paradisum (2011) They were a Melodic Metal supergroup formed by former Strartovarius guitarist Timo Tolkki along with his former Stratovarius bandmade bassist Jari Kainulainen, former Gamma Ray, Helloween and Masterplan drummer Uli Kusch, former Angra and Shaman singer Andre Matos and former Sonata Arctica keyboarder Mikko Härkin. Their one and only album was a return to his musical roots for Tolkki who since his departure from Stratovarius in 2008 had tried to find a new musical identity. It sounded much like their 1997 hit album "Visions" and I enjoyed it a lot despite my aversion to Matos as a singer. Uli Kusch was the first member to leave the band after their initial European tour in early 2011 to recover from nerve damage in his hand. They did a South America tour without him and announced their split later that year. Ride The Sky - New Protection (2007) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWixT72_4YU Speaking of Uli Kusch, after his fallout with bandmate Roland Grapow and his subsequent departure from their band Masterplan in 2007 he decided to form a new band with Swedish Musicians. They released their one and only album in 2007. Compared to Masterplan it had a more sinister vibe to it and s slight progressive. There were some filler songs on it but overall it was another great showcase of Kusch both as a drummer and songwriter. Unfortunately they decided to split up in 2008 citing too little media focus and support from their label as a reason. Billionaires Boys Club - Something Wicked Comes (1993) If you like 80s Metal or Hard Rock this is the band for you. They were founded by the Accept guitarist that history forgot: Jörg Fischer. Other members were former Yngwie Malmsteen singer Mark Boals as well as HammerFall members-to-be Anders Johansson on the drums and bassist Magnus Rosen. A great, unagitated Hard Rock/Metal album that unfortunately came about 5 years to late to be of any relevance. The band split up in 1994. Killing Touch - One Of A Kind (2009) This band was founded in 2008 by Italian singer Michele Luppi after his sacking from Vision Divine the same year. Apart from him no one of note played in the band. Their one and only album is a mix of melodic and progressive metal, not unlike Vision Divine but not as intricate. I can't really tell you what happened to them. They just ceased to exist at some point. The Snakes – Once Bitten (1998) This rare gem was to my knowledge only released in Japan. It marks the first collaboration of former Whitesnake guitarists Micky Moody and Bernie Marsden since they both left Whitesnake in the early 80s. Alongside them the album also features Norwegian powerhouse singer Jorn Lande as well as bassist Sid Ringsby and drummer Willy Bendiksen (who would both go on to play in Jorn's solo band years later). If you are into that blues-influenced hard rock that Whitesnake played before turning into a Hair Metal band in 1987 than this is for you. They recorded a live-album made up entirely of Whitesnake covers from the 1979-1984 era of the band in 1999 and disbanded the same year.
  11. A shame that kümmert decided to forfeit. Guy has a great voice and he was the only one of the contestants I liked. The live performance of the woman who will represent Germany instead was bad and the song is just bland. The finnish entry is horrible. I don't want to sound like I'm bashing the menally disabled. I think it is great that they can persue a musical career despite of their disabilities. I applaud them for it. But that doesn't change that the song is utter garbage. Can't they just send Lordi again? I'd love to see them again. Doesn anyone know if there will be any Rock or Metal bands in this year's edition (apart from the Finnish entry?)
  12. While the epiisode wasn't that good compared to the others I'm happy that we'll finally get to see more from Mike in the coming episode. Am I right in assuming that he will somehow end up with Saul as his lawyer?
  13. Why couldn't they have patched that in earlier? Or to be more precise why wasn't something like this included in the game right from the start? As far as I can remember the inabillity to store items was a problem that plagued the series since the first instalment. Also it's about 3 months too late since I've already finished the game and I'm not planing on replaying it any time soon (at least not until the first DLC is released).
  14. BTW I still couldn't resolve this. Anyone else here got the same problem?
  15. I still watch it as well. And it really did get better post mid-season-break. Although it still is far from perfect. And about last Episode, am I the only one who was creeped out by the way Barbara talked to Celina?
  16. And now I'm going to check if the Ortons, Sheamuses, Del Rios or Henrys actually have different movesets. I doubt it.
  17. Of course no one forces me to do these I just find it ridiculous that there are so many dupicates in the game. Or why in some cases they have to have duplicates in the first place instead of making them alternative attires. Couldn't they just added 2011 Del Rio as an alternate attire for modernd ay Del Rio? Same goes for the Sheamuses, the Ortons or the Mark Henrys. They somehow managed to make 2002/2003/2004 Triple H with hair an alternative attire for current day Triple H. Why couldn't they do the same for the others? Or why did they feel the need to add another 2011 Del Rio for the One More Match showcase when they already have one in the game? The excuse of "not everyone buys all the DLCs" doesn't apply here as 2011 Retro Del Rio is available to everyone who purchases the game. Same goes for retro Daniel Bryan.
  18. If you take a look at my avatar you can probably already guess that I'm a Whitesnake fan. My favorite album of the band is their self-titled Album released in 1987 and overall I'm a biger fan of their Hair Metal phase than I ever was of their Blues Rock phase in the late 70s and early 80s. This is a sacrilegious thing to say for most Whitesnake fans as the consensus seems to be that bandleader and vocalist David Coverdale ruined the band by making it a Hair Metal band. But their bluesy hard rock never did anything for me. I'm also a big fan of their two reunion albums featuring a whole new line-up. So when they said that they'll make an announcement today regarding a new album I was pumped to hear it. Not only because I liked the last two but also because they just replaced their lead guitarist and I was curious what the new guy could bring to the table. Today they made the announcement by releasing this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xk9wWj8Wh30 They have recorded a Deep Purple Cover album. David Coverdale was actually part of the Mark III and IV line-ups of Deep Purple in the 70s. But still, they're making a Deep Purple Cover album in 2015. Did anyone ask for that? Who wants to hear that? Also Coverdale sounds like shit in the video. I know that his voice is shot and I would never pay money to see Whitesnake live nowadays but on the last two albums they managed it to make him sound decent. But judging by the video they can't even do that properly anymore. What a joke.
  19. Did you manage to sort this out by any chance? I didn't have the problem with "One More Match" but I have got what sounds like the same issue since downloading "Hall of Pain." Nope. Still have to connect to the internet to get the game to load properly. And I know I'm harping on about this but I find it ridiculous that I can have a 6 man tag team match where Team Sheamus considering of Sheamus, Sheamus and Sheamus can fight Team Del Rio which consists of Alberto Del Rio, Alberto Del Rio and, you guessed it, Alberto Del Rio! And when I'm tired of that I'll just play a Fatal Four way between Randy Orton, Randy Orton, Randy Orton and Randy Orton. I can't get all the duplicated wrestlers into a Royal Rumble match because there are too many. I can't fit the all the Sheamuses and the two Stings into it. I shouldn't be able to fill a Royal Rumble with duplicated wrestlers let alone there being to many to fill the rumble.
  20. Queen is dead. Queen was the unit of Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Brian May and Roger Taylor. No one else. When Freddy Mercury died in 1992 Queen died. The only Queen release not involving Mercury I'll accpet as Queen is "No-One but You (Only the Good Die Young)". Everything else isn't Queen. May and Taylor together aren't Queen. May and Taylor trying to milk the cow with whomever they get isn't fucking Queen. Their stupid album with Paul Rodger's isn't a Queen album. And Taylor + May going on tour with a casting show hack sure as hell isn't Queen. I wish that they would just drop the damn name already. I know they probably have the right to the name and are legally in the clear as well as that Freddie Mercury himself probably wouldn't have a problem with it but I hate it.
  21. Why tm? And it wasn't anywhere near good. I've been following this whole mess with varying level of interest since it started last year and this has definitely been a more civilized GG discussion than most of what I've seen.
  22. I have a problem. Maybe someone here can help me: Ever since I downloaded the "One More Match" DLC I can't start the game anymore while not connected to the internet. Everytime I trie I get to the main stream with the John Cena Picture and the WWE 2k15, 2KSports and Yukes logos where I have to press any button for it to load my data. I press a button and after a second I get the network-connectivity-pop-up that tells my I won't be able to use the online features and the Playstation store when not connected to the internet. I push X for it to go away and after that nothing happens. I have the Cena picture, the logos as well as the animated background but it stops loading my saved data and I'm stuck with this screen. It doesn't crash or freeze. The background is still animated. But other than that nothing happens. Has that happened to anyone else?
  23. I love the music he writes but can't stand his voice. The first few albums they recorded after he returned to the mic were tolerable but ever since the turn of the millennium he got worse and worse in my opinion. Especially live when he tries to sing songs like I Want Out or other Kiske songs. He can't hit these high notes. He is even worse than Andi Deris in that regard. I think the German Government should pass a law that dictates that the only person who can sing songs originally recorded with Michael Kiske should be Michael Kiske.
  24. I feel they kinda did with "Matters Of Survival" and "Voodoo Vibes". It is not as obviously pandering as a lot of Hair Metal bands did in the 90s to stay relevant but they definitely lost the plot with those two. And yeah, that tour was great. It is just such a shame that Helloween still make Andi Deris sing all the Kiske stuff although they have more than enough great material with him and, let's face it, he simply can't sing most of them. But they keep doing it. Ever heard Andi Deris sing "March Of Time"? It is abysmal. I get that these are the songs that most people know them for but it would be sooo much better if they would keep the Kiske stuff to a minimun (maybe 1 or 2 songs as an encore) and focus more on his own material. And I'm also not too big on Kai Hansen as a singer. I wish they would get a proper lead singer.
