Never had an experience where a game is sold out upon release date. I now try going in the night before it's release date and normally at least 1 shop will sell it.

Donkey Kong Country 8/10 After decieding to have a quick SNES sesh I found this game amogst my pile of carts. It brings back some great memories of a mispent youth playing the Mine Cart Madness level over and over. That level sums up what so's great about this game, the variation in levels. Just when you become used the the standard platfroming art of jumping on the heads of your foes DKC throws you a curveball and you find yourself racing along a spooky track on an old minecart. The addition of other animals also helps to freshen things up. Nothing like clinging on to a raging rhino as it charges through your enimies. That said it is a little disturbing how Donkey Kong seems to thrust himself whilst riding the Swordfish. That beastiality issue aside this is a great game that still looks good today some 10 years after it was made. Never completed it mind so i'm working through it again, up to the factory. Wish me luck :thumbsup:

Through my inexperience at CW and my mindless shilling of Hoobastank and Saliva I am now 70m in debt. Rock on. Crud, just played through for ages and didn't save. Then I got a "Bad record number" error and it closed. Just when U2 had got their album to 6x platinum worldwide. They helped me get the debt down to 25m.

Well after the 4-1 triumph over Man U I drew away at Charlton 2-2. Ljungberg scored a cracking goal, neat one two with Bergkamp before smashing one in off the post from 25 yards. I then told David Moyes I thought his Everton side would beat the drop, he said mine might win the title. I then beat them 3-0 at Goodison. Then I played Aston Villa at Highbury, thrashed them 6-0, Henry got 2 and Pires scored the pick of the bunch, top right curler from 30 yards. Just drawn Milan, Real Madrid and Basel in the CL (Fuck) and signed Jon Stead for 3m up front, 3m in 12 months and a friendly. Not looking too bad thus far. Beat Man City 4-0. Pires goal against Villa got 2nd place in the GotM, Ljunberg got Player of the month. Just drew 2-2 with Chelsea, they injured Cesc Fabregas and Henry although Stead scored on debut. Out of the 7 media comments availible only 2 are poisitive. Sour grapes I suppose. Might just insult them caus they injured Mr Va Va Voom.

Anyone got the magazine yet? I looked yesterday but I couldn't find it. As for the game, it looks cool and is running pretty smoothly. I'm Arsenal so I can ease myself into the game. Just beat Man U 4-1 in the Charity Shield Signed Matthew Killgallon from Leeds for 650k and apparently all my fans feel he will be a great player in the future and all the kids are getting his name on their shirts. Arsenal 4th favourites for title? Behind Liverpool? :pinch:

Just out of intrest, which game are you refering to Sean when you mention the half hour loading times?

I will probably get them next year before I go on holiday, I can't see me using them much if I get them now as the likes of GTA:SA , PES4 and FM2005 will no doubt keep me busy gaming wise. I've played them and it's a cool game and perfect for me as i've never really been into the newer Pokemon so classic characters + new engine = cool.

One of the other benefits of pre ordering is the possiblity of it being sent to you earlier when they recieve their stock. I remember on the PES3 Gamefaqs boards people were saying how they recieved their games earlier due to pre ordering via online stores. I will probably order it when I put in a Madden 2005 order, might pick up one of those MAX pen drives too. Some new news regarding FM, SI have announced there is 51 playable countires in the game. With all the various playable league and national teams there is a whopping total of 5,300 playable teams. I'll probably use about 10

OMG, Play.com says it's coming out on the 19th of November and they are selling it for £17.99 plus it's free delivery. Thats at least gonna be a saving of £12.

Well Amazon says 10th but Gamefaq's says 31st. There is a demo out on the 23rd of September with the release of a new issue of the FM2005 magazine. It will probably be availble to download too. Far too many good games out this year, god must want me to fail school or something. Amazon says December 10th release date, I smell Christmas present Will have GTA and PES4 to pass the time until then. Has anyone signed up for that thing where you are put into the game as a regen?

Good effort from Khan in the final but it was always gonna be difficult against the Cuban who is what, 7, 8 years unbeaten? Superb effort though to reach the final and who knows, maybe a gold in Bejing for the lad.

I think some people are forgetting that Rooney is 18 years old. He has lots and lots of time to improve. There isn't the need to play him from the start at a team like Man Utd. Someone like Alex Ferguson will be able to nuture Rooney and make him an even better player. Need I mention the batch of Utd youngsters that have gone on to make the Utd squad of today? Look at what they have achieved, if Ferguson can do the same with Rooney he will be world class. At Newcaslte too he will be able to progress alongside experienced strikers like Sherear and Kluivert. Plus at Newcastle they will need a replacement for Sherear soon and lets be honest here, when was the last time Ameobi or Chopra scored 4 goals in a European Championships? They will be good players too but Rooney is something special.

Just look at these groups, the two biggest names in them such as Porto and Chelsea, Barca and Milan, Juve and Bayern. Man Utd and Lyon just doesn't compete does it? England and Turkey isn't a good mix though, lets hope nothing kicks off either at either end. We know all too well what can happen.

If Everton turned down Newcasltes 20m bid then what chance do Man U have of getting him for 20m? Theres more then meets the eye here methinks.

Just did a quick search to see if I could find out some of CM5's new features and was suprised to find out it is heading to PS2 as well as XBox and obviously PC. Now the PC and XBox I can understand but PS2? Would it be able to handle the sheer volume of data on a CM game?

CM5 is so gonna be a rush job. They are just releasing it earlier so they have a head start on FM which they know all proper CM fans will choose. Maybe they think people will by CM5 to tide them over till FM2005 comes out. This could have been the case but with such an early release date, this will probably have a ton of bugs much like CM4.
