  1. regardless, I watched a couple (well, enough to be able to judge) Laker games, defence was their problem, there offence was good enough to get they by, it was the poor defence which dragged them down.
  2. Phil Jackson returning to LA >>>>> the Finals. It is amazingly amusing that people are more interested in this than the Finals matchup. Caron, Odom, and Kobe could make the triangle work. This Laker team will make the playoffs next year. They only fell apart in the last month this season, despite Kobe and Odom etc having injuries.I'd say 5th maybe 6th seed.
  3. That dunk he did then the three to kill them off after running the clock way down made me laugh, as the commentators were hyping up the Pistons ready to comeback behind Billups. This Finals is nowhere near worth skipping school for....but I may watch Game 7 just because it's a game 7, if it gets that far.
  4. I watched the game, it only got interesting when Arroyo starting fucking up, especially Bill Walton's halftime comment that Arroyo shouldn't even be there. Manu stepped it up and domianted the second half, but the game wasn't that interesting, it could have been good had Rip not missed repetitive WIDE OPEN jumpers, and they actually go to Rasheed after the first quarter. Spurs 5 man bench (Brown, Udrih, Horry, Barry, Robinson) shit all over the Pistons 1 and 1/2 man bench (Dice & Hunter)...they need to play Darko fuck it. Spurs are gonna be even better next year when they get the Argie Ginobili/Scola teaming, when Scola joins the NBA.He's gonna be a pretty good player, worthy of probably starting...
  5. I'm from a non-biast perspective. If you look at what I said, and ignore what bookmakers said (which was only said because Hatton's quality opponents haven't been that great, ahyd he fought just a lil higher calibur fighters, he would have been easily ahead) why do you think it took till he had over 30 wins to get a shot while most usually get a shot around the mid 20's, because his opponents weren't up to the standard of which the US have. If Hatton was fighting actively in the US and more top bookies got better exposure to him, he would have had the odds on his sid.
  6. Naseem only had one loss, then had one fight after that, and retired I guess with a record of 36-1.He may have less substance to Hatton as you think, but he fought noodies just like Hatton. And please, Tsyzu is old, very inactive and was fighting Hatton in his backyard.I don't give a shit who the fuck you are, odds are your not going to win witht those odds. Everyone thought that Hatton wouldn't win because he fought nobodies, he has talent, but he isn't THAT good. And please, I was one of Lewis' biggest supporters, he's one of my favourite boxers, and he outsmarted Vitali when they fought.I am one of his biggwst fans around, especially on here, and I'm not even from Britain, or have any connection there. I've been watching, and am a boxer/kickboxer for years.I know I for sure didn't pick Tyzsu to win, he's fought something like under 30 rounds in the last 2 years, and is 35 years old.Only reason B-Hop is still champ at his old age is because he is an extremely active fighter (esp. for his age). The only way you could put a negative on Hatton is the calibur of fighters he's fought, as far as I can see. He's young, hungry, very active, and willing to learn.Thats a hard combo to stop. And sorry but he's nowhere near Pound-for-pound one of the best right now.Maywheather is on fire right now, and they're the same weight, let alone the whole of boxing. He's outside my top 10, maybe squeak into the top 20 or fall just outside, but thats from the lack of boxing I've seen lately more than anything.
  7. my interest in UFC has gone down amazingly low, I used to be right into this stuff...but I just fell off around the late 40's especially after Liddell won the title... Rampage being there could be interesting, but if he said no to Couture and Liddell, it kinda makes you think whats the point.
  8. Not to take anything away from the Pistons, but they would be fucking nowhere if either of Indiana or Miami was at full strength. I knew Miami never had a hope, Wade injured, Shaq injured, EJ injured then 3D injured at the start of the game.Plus, when Rasheed started playing, the Pistons win. Spurs or Pistons could go either way.All I know is Manu Ginobili is probably one of the few players who could play Rip end to end. Manu for Finals MVP!
  9. I'm sure I read somewhere before the playoffs Rip was wearing the Mask because he thought it brung him good luck... With EJ carrying an injury, Shaq arund 80% and Wade probably only at 50%, the Heat are either gonna lose tot he Pistons, or get handled by the Spurs in the Finals.
  10. ya gotta give it to Tsyzu though, he should never have had to defend his title in the fucking challenger's hometown, thats achampions priviledge, nice to see him take the challenge though. He's too old now though and hasn't fought enough, IMO this was an obvious fight that Hatton was gonna win. He's gonna get manhandled and fucked up by all the other champs in his division though, because his whole style revolves around bullying people.Gatti and Maywheather will both put him away.
  11. rib injury apaprently, looks like the Pistons may sneak past against a second straight not full strength team...who wants to bet TD gets injured and they still force it to 3-2 because the Pistons play better when they're in trouble.
  12. Fuck LeBron, outta all the young players, Amare is the fucking truth.Imagine what he could do when he develops a better jumper and learns some post moves/footwork.That'll be when he becomes unstoppable. He's averaged easily over 35 points against THE BEST DEFENSIVE TEAM IN THE NBA and one of the best players in the league, in Duncan, and can play D when he wants to (that block was fucking amazing). I don't like the Nash hate.Shaq was not the Most Valuable Player, as that Heat team (even minus Shaq right now, not last season) would have made the playoffs comfortably. This Suns side had potential, but with Barbosa running the point, it would have went no fucking where.Nash proved he is a elite calibur player during the Mavs series, he proved he was the MVP during the regular season by turning some young kids into beasts.Sure, he doesn't play defense, but they don't need him too that much when they were beating teams the way they were.Joe Johnson at the start of the series was the key, them missing him and everything he does, ruined the Suns shot. I also find it amazingly funny that naiwf is the one complaining when before he was going on about how he won't watch the two best D sides, Spurs/Pistons matchups if they reach the Finals, despite knowing full well D wins titles. Dwyane Wade is torching the Pistons defence too, been extremely impressive.Key for them is EJ playing well offensively, and having a decent game defensively.Pistons though IMO need Sheed to step the fuck up a bit more and play more offensively, and they'd have this series done.If they win game 5, they win the series, otherwise the Heat will bring it back home and win in 7. Either way, Manu Ginobili or Dwyane Wade are gonna overshadow Duncan and Shaq (if that ends up the matchup) to win the Finals MVP.
  13. AI had a better year this year than his MVP year, and I'm a Kobe fan by miles....Kobe should be inbetween 2nd and third, I'd put Allen, AI, Wade all ahead of him, with Mac, and Arenas around the same level for this season. I agree with most of it, but Davis for 6th Man, Okafor for ROY (What, your reason is completely unfair, did anyone even think the Bobcats would even win as many games as they did?) and probably Tayshaun-BWall as co-D players of the year or Tayshaun ahead, but thats personal preferance.
  14. The only reason the Suns are down is because of Joe Johnson.Once he's back, this is a completely different series as he'll most likely move onto Parker. EDIT: Thats now saying that the Suns are gonna win, but the JJ injury has fucked them big time.Turns out it wasn't the play slowlying down stopping them, it was their obvious gap of depth, despite Jim Jackson doing a great job at filling in for Joe... If the start bumping around Parker like the Sonics and the Lakers last year even, the Spurs could potentially crumble.Q Rich is choking the fuck up though.
  15. Tua could knock out anybody in the top 10, with ease. And I realised the Tyson thing was stupid when I woke the fuck up about 5 minutes later and realised it, but he's with Jeff Fenech now, there's a chance he could be something. If Tua didn't become inactive, he would have unififed a couple titles and then probably lost to Chris Byrd.He already KO'd one of the current champs (Ruiz) in 19 seconds, and would put away Vlad and Vitali. and Coralles fight was one of the best in a fucking LONG time. And my bet is Winky won't beat Hopkins, and Hopkins will be forced to retire due to lack of challengers.I just see it happening.
  16. the Defensive Efficency of the Heat is higher than the Pistons currently, so I wouldn't say they are better defensively, per say even though I know they are. And if Steve Nash dominates the way he is right now, with Amare avg. 30+ a game (he did during the reg. season) and TD carrying a injury, the Suns could be them...Joe Johnson coming back though could put them over the edge, especially if he plays to the standard he was. I'm believing more and more that this Suns team has the energy to go all the fucking way.
  17. Who the fuck gives a shit about the heavyweight division anymore.Although it could be funny to see Tua or Tyson come back in the next year or so.As both could easily dominate the heavyweight division.
  18. I crack up everytime I hear Mike Jones repeat the same thing 4 times or whatever in Still Tippin..
  19. 50 Cents album was nowhere near as bad as the internet hyped it up to be, the blind hate for anything 50 did cahnged people's views (it happened to me,) and was no where near as bad as it was said to be. And from what I've seen, Be while good, wasn't what everyone was hyping it up to be, plus it's been circulating on the net for over a month now, I thought it was already released the number of places I've seen it around.
  20. Dunno why, just love Bosh, like I did Wade last years playoffs, and also do the same for Ginobili, and even to a lesser degree Udonis Haslem.I guess I never thought Bosh would be nothing but with him being more of the focal point in Toronto he's flourished. He has potential to make that team into something especially if they do swing te rumoured trade for Jamaal Magloire to return to Canada. I'd put Hinrich, Bosh and Melo all on a par, with Wade and LeBron easily infront of them.
  21. Bosh Probably won't do those high Assist number, if he does, Bosh will then own his whole class easily, but I see Bron getting that one day...the first thing, and maybe the second.I like the comparison of Magic/Kareem and Shaq/Wade though. If the Pistons win it means nothing, they didn't even take on a full strength Pacers side.Ron-Ron was tearing the league apart in the games he played this year (24/6/3 or 4 apg 2 steals) and he and SJax would have tore apart The Pistons, who's Tayshaun gonna mark, Artest or SJax? Miami could have the East on lock if Laettner woke the fuck up though.Eddie Jones is starting to find a bit of form again with Shaq gone. Steve Nash dominated (20-28 fgs, 48 points) but what the fuck happened to Amare, he got shut the fuck down.
  22. Karizma

    Rap beefs

The best bet would be that he's talking about Soulja Slim, not Eminem, who died in 03 or somewhere around there.I don't really know the jist, someone else might know, but I'd say he's talking about Soulja Slim.
  23. If Rasheed gets a second predition right in a row, the Pistons will win the series. A win at game 4 could possibly break the Pistons though.Fuck, whenever Reggie steps up (albeit even at times) the Pacers STILL Win despite JO and SJax's playing like shit. All this does really with that series is give Shaq an extra week off, seeing as Washington's gonna be swept.
  24. heh, more proof to stregthen a strong case thats going round that Jay-Z's a biter.
