  1. Yeah, the Pistons swept the Rockets, but have you seen the Rockets lately? They're chemistry has been fantastic, and surrounding Yao and T-Mac with good veterans has lead to that team playingamazingly well.Give teams time to develop chemistry, which you shut off instantly, and they can be a good team, same goes for New Jersey. But don't overhype the Pistons, they're crusing, everybody knows it. And in response to you, what about your weak stuff?Which team has a victory over the Spurs?...next case.
  2. Game'll could get killed by Jay-Z, but it won't matter one bit. It'll just make Game a bigger star, for taking on Jigga. Fuck, thats exactly what happened to Jigga.Nas beat him, but who's the CEO of Def Jam?Who's struggling to get platnium while one does it at will?Who's got the hotter wifey? All publicity is good publicity, look at 50, and Piggy bank for a strong example. And Game has just used G-Unit as a platform, smart business, assosciating himself with them, look at Buck and Banks, both when Plat by association.Game wants to bring up Blackwallstreet, apparently he and 50 don't even like each other, but are using it purely for business matters.Game's supposedly been signed to Aftermath since before GRODT, thats what I've seen swirling around, anyway.
  3. I'd put the Rockets right now over the Pistons though, and they fell a basket short against the Rockets. They won in overtime against the Nets also...the Lakers have been doing pretty well at coming back from nowhere lately, give them their due. when BNBH notices that the Lakers are making good comebacks, you know they're doing something right. They came back by 26 against the Rockets or something, they still got a shot.
  4. Rumour is Miller for Payton, atleast, thats what I heard. And by the way the Suns have gotta break Most 3 pointers in a game, with adding McCarty, they've made some smart trades, they're 7 men deep now. And I just remembered my REAL Sleeper pick, proven by how much I slept on them. The fuckin' Grizzles. They fuckin' stopped the Suns offence, with everybody in the Suns lineup, while they had two of their best players out with injury (Pau/Posey) Seriously, last year's coach of the year leaves, Fratello comes in and rights the ship instantly.Look at the line up they fucking had: J-Dub, Dahntay Jones, Battier, Swift, Wright. They're missing Posey, Miller and Gasol (although Miller was on the bench, recovering from injury), the Nuggets, with the depth they have in that front court (and the backcourt, Boykins has been a monster lately), should have been able to hold together better than they have.Nuggets will slip into 8 with a tossle between the Nuggets, T'Wolves and Lakers.Once Kobe's back, the Lakers will be alright, and will make the playoffs, because then the focus will be off Lamar, who's been pretty poor.C-But and Atkins have been good, though. I dunno, I still think the Nuggets overachieved, this year they're underachieving. And the Bulls proved themselves a bit more worthy than what they were, espcially Deng, as they beat the Mavs.
  5. bah not trade, I mean let go.I'll read what I say next time.Of course I was meaning Nash. And please, the Nuggets aren't going no where.I'm a fan of Melo too, but clearly, thats a team that overachieved.Although, they could have a decent 2nd half, they're not making a Playoff run.Suns, Sonics, Spurs, Rockets, Lakers, Mavs, Kings, T'Wolves are gonna be the playoff teams, with the Nuggets a very slim outside chance, although I would not be surprized if they pass the T'Wolves, who seem really unmotivated and unhappy, which translates into poor play. I agree on the Bulls though, they got alot of hype because they beat some teams hovering below and barely above .500 because they're the Bulls.I also change one of my sleeper picks in the East, the fuckin' NETS are rallying, VC is trying everything possible to make sure that J-KIdd sticks around.I really thought it would have been smarter for them to lose the rest of the season, get a high draft pick, and get a big man who'll be able to contribute enough, because Jefferson/Carter/Kidd is gonna dominate next year.
  6. Stop hating on the Lakers, they've achieved more than anyone else thought they would. So what, they lost to the Hawks, so did the fuckin' Pistons.Upsets happen, didn't the Hawks beat the Spurs last year, anyway? Good to see Arenas get an All-Star nod, since Hughes has been out he's been avg. 30 a game, really stepping up and the Wizards are still like, 2nd in the East, or equal with the Cavs.Bet Pierce woulda lost his spot to Hughes, most likely. East Reserves: Gilbert Arenas, Wizards Antawn Jamison, Wizards Paul Pierce, Celtics Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Cavaliers Dwyane Wade, Heat Ben Wallace, Pistons Jermaine O'Neal, Pacers West: Ray Allen, Supersonics Manu Ginobili, Spurs Rashard Lewis, Supersonics Shawn Marion, Suns Steve Nash, Suns Amare Stoudemire, Suns Dirk Nowitzki, Mavericks Mavs and Kings are the sleeper teams in the West right now, IMO, same with the Wizards, Pacers in the East, especially the Mavs as they have a better team BECAUSE they traded a guy who could be MVP by the end of the year. And I'm telling ya, if the Pacers can squeeze into the Playoffs, and get a focused Ron Artest, expect some first round upsets happening.
  7. Have you watched Heat games?Maybe a basket is from Shaq drawing(of the 8 point increase), the rest is from Wade's brillance. He's one of the best one-on-one in the league, from what I've seen, anyway. But I suppose his assists jump means nothing also??Most games I've seen, Shaq's dished it off to Haslem or Damon Jones. I put Wade ahead of LeBron because their improvements are pretty even (who expects Wade to be 5th in apg, seriously?) but the teams victories make the difference. All people who are high on other sophs blame Wade's success on Shaq, did you not see him in the playoffs last year?Wade would be avg. over 22 easily with or without Shaq.Wade's no even my favourite soph (I'm leaning towards Bosh/Hinrich, with Wade, Melo and Bron round about the same) but you gotta give him the respect the kid deserves.
  8. And jonny, gotta give Jermaine O'Neal something, he's avg. like 26 points a game, and was up around 30 for like 10 games, same goes for Iverson, if he had some more wins, he'd be pulling for MVP contention, but because the Sixers and their division suck he ain't getting no look. His team is more depleted than Bron's. I wouldn't say Melo's in a slump, he's still avg. 20 a game, but he just, doesn't seem to compare. He should be making strides and leading his side, he hasn't matured enough by the look of it, Bosh, Wade and Hinrich, Bron are all leading their team, Wasn't that LeBron Dunk over 6'2 Damon Jones though? And Bron has help, look at what Z and Gooden done when he wasn't there, it's just they don't get as much of a chance with Bron on the floor. East 12: Iverson Wade Jamison JO Shaq LeBron (I personally feel, the improvements Wade has made, are more significant than Bron's...fact is, people expected Bron to be a star, no one expected Wade to jump up by 8 ppg from last season and be top 5 in apg.And Jamison's Wizards are on par with the Cavs, would be higher if Hughes was still around, with a shit front court.) Hill Carter (lately, anyway) Bosh Arenas Hughes (if he wasn't injured, anyway) so Redd Wallace And Stevie Franchise or Steve-O, whatever he wants to be called could make a strong case also. West: Nash Allen SHAWN MARION(Seriously slept on) Dirk Amare (If Peja and C-Webb got injured earlier in the season, Brad Miller would make a strong case. Duncan Garnett Bryant (replaced by Maggette) McGrady Rashard Lewis C-Webb Miller and Yao, I guess.
  9. Apparantly the shoes didn't even fit, also. And I like Coleman, I applaud him for having the nuts to say he could beat Mirko quite confidently, but I just don't see it happening. And I dunno about this Ortiz/Belfort fight....there's alot on Belfort's plate right now, expecting a son, his sister still being kidnapped (right?) and such.He could either channel that emotion and kill Tito like he was the one that kidnapped her, or he could be emotionally fucked. If Hunt and CroCop ever face in PRIDE, I wouldn't be surprized if Hunt LETS CroCop Left Round him to the head repeatively.I could see Mirko knocking him down, but Hunt'll just laugh, and shake off the first few. I wouldn't call Hunt a street fighter, more like a trained street fighter.Kid would KTFO Tank Abbott with ease in his prime.
  10. Apparently he and Kobe had a truce last season. And Kobe said he'll take Jackson, as he knows he has no other options. And Denver, sucks.I still dunno how they let Portland beat them, when Portland were playing like shit too.Van Exel killed them in the first half, slowed in the 2nd half, then Telfair dominated them in the 4th, before Randolph finally got things together. Anthony choked too, missing 2 free throws, which could have put them ahed with 3 minutes left.I'm sick of hearing about this shit Nuggets side though, I wanna hear about the Girzz, who've slipped under the radar, 20-9 since the reigning Coach of the Year left, and they got Fratello.Same goes for the Wizards. Wizards get no love, Arenas, Hughes and Jamison should all be fuckin' All-Stars, same with Shawn Marion who got shafted outta the starting spot and wasn't even close to the top (fucking Melo was ahead of him...come the fuck on...infact, I think Amare was behind Melo too.) Ehh, I've really gone off Melo, who's really slipping, I'd place him 5th now with Bron, Wade, Hinrich and Bosh (who's killing it as the franchise player) ahead of Melo right now, despite good indiviual stats.
  11. CroCop's fighting Coleman because Coleman said he could beat him, or somehting, so CroCop said he'll fight Coleman, to pretty much prepare for Fedor. Hunt'll get thrown in against strikers though, they'll want to keep him looking good to help the Heavyweight division, which is still in a crisis (What is Fedor and Nog doing?) Hunt'll beat CroCop, too.Hunt will only lose to the BJJ/grapplers more than anyhting, because that head is iron, the only way to beat him is on the ground, and thats even tougher than it seems, just ask Dan Bobish. And don't trust Hunt saying he's having a good time, thats what he said before and a month after winning the K1 GP, then said he doesn't like fighting. Heh, guess why Mark Hunt went to jail.He beat up an old guy for his shoes....true story!
  12. Jordan was drafted number 3...Gordon was drafted number three.. What the fuck happened to the Wolves? They couldn't put away A Kings side without C-Webb and Peja? The fuck?Your on a 5 game win streak, and you lose the streak because Brad Miller kicks you ass?Yeah, Bibby/Mobley/Miller isn't a bad combo to have with those two out, but come on.Fuckin' T-Wolves. Who else saw T-Mac and Wade upstaging the clash between Shaq and Yao?Shaq went 15-5, Yao had 22-9 but Wade had 23 of his 30 in the second half, T-Mac had 28 or something, can't remember off the top of my head. And the fucking Suns, end of 3 quarters and have 104 points, up on the Raptors by nearly 30.
  13. Orlando would get raped to fuck with that trade, they don't in any way need fucking Lenard or Skita. If Anything, I'd rather see them get rid of Francis to give Jameer Nelson a chance to shine and let he and Dwight Howard build to the future with Cato, Turkoglu, Christie and Hill around them. I think the Pistons are starting to get into a bit of a "We're so good we don't have to play great anymore to get recognition" mode, ala the Lakers early last year, where they cruised most of the time. But I see the Pistons storming home and swiping the Central Division title right outta 'Bron's fingers. Where the fuck did the Wolves pull a 5 game win streak from?
  14. I don't either, considering, if Bron doesn't get injured, and they lead Central, but stay behind the Heat, odds are in the second round it'll be Pistons/Heat.I was more saying that IF the reached the Finals. Although, Qyntel Woods will help their cause alot.....yeah.
  15. Yes Wand, join the dark side, come to K-1, come to K-1, make this romanex bullshit legit, you to Nog.Belfort once he's done with Tito can come too.Oh yeah, and Fedor too, I guess. But Wand would be interesting, under K-1 rules or Romanex. Heh, maybe K-1'll get Tyson to fight for them soon too, with all the interest they have.I'd still despite his madness and such love to see Tyson hit a Overhand right and hand Bob Sapp his ass. This makes me very happy. And Overeem, he's from Stefan Leko's club (or former, I haven't kept up) is he not? And CroCop better KTFO Coleman, otherwise I will be greatly dissappointed, espcially if he gets subbed and blows this possible match up with Fedor.
  16. 7/20?! Man, I'm sure Shaq don't even care anymore.Surely, with all the free throws he's taken over the years he should be getting better purely because of the repetitiveness of going to the line?Atleast, that's how I got better, seeing as I used to be terrible from the line, and never practised it. Fuckin' Shaq...I swear the Heat are gonna be cost the title because he misses his free throws.
  17. Woods signed with the Heat...what is it with contenders wanting Qyntel Woods?I mean, the fuck?I know the Heat need players for cheap, but Woods?Oh yes, and bwahahahaha, at getting fired for misdemeanor animal abuse. And where'd the Brown/Denver stuff come from, I heard Isiah wants him if he cant get Jackson, and that Larry Brown is the perfect fit their blah blah. And Francis in Denver will be gay, he needs to stay with Orlando.Although, Jameer Nelson starting could be interesting.Kids been slept on, and when given minutes does a good job with the Magic off the bench, with Francis moving to the 2.
  18. Honestly, I didn't think I'd come to this realisation, but it's true. Kobe Bryant wants to prove to the world, he is a top tier player. And if meaning he must get rid of Shaq, so be it. I dunno why I started thinking about this, probably because of all the heat Kobe's been catchin' about how the teams playing better without him, but what do you expect? The kid has played his whole career to date with the Most Dominant Player of this era, but having the Lakers to himself just seems like a huge challenge, to a player who's really running out of them at the moment.I mean, what better way to prove how good you are, by taking a side where it's best current big man is Chris Mihm, (eh, Odom's been so-so to me, even though I loved the Heat last year) to the playoffs (which the Lakers will, they'll slide in I'm guessing 7th).Seriously, how can you deny how good he is, if he takes that side to the Playoffs, maybe that was the plan, so it didn't look like he got help from Malone?Although I thought it would have been better for him to stick with Shaq, maybe that is in the bigger picture for Kobe?Because lets face it, when Shaq retires, and if he retired in a Laker uniform, nothing will be mentioned about Kobe, it'll be all about how Shaq made Kobe and carreid the side to the dynasty... ehh, rant over.I still have no idea where that comes from.I blame the lack of sleep I've had in the past 72 hours (eg: none). And Jackson to Phoenix is much better for Jimmy and the Suns, especially who have an actual player who could fit into a 6th man role.Plus, he's already played for Miami before, so he wouldn't be able to get to his 13th team.
  19. He didn't show up for the fitness thingy or whatever in NO, they suspended him, so they traded him for Jacobson, Lampe and sombody else I think. Last I heard he was trying to scheme his way into getting traded to the Heat.
  20. If Belfort doesn't win, I will cry. I still have fond memories when I was younger of watching Belfort/Abbott and going (this kid is going to get killed by Tank), then watched him fuck Tank up, although, that was a long time ago.Belfort's still the man though. Fedor V. CroCop is supposed to be around April, depending on if Fedor signs with somebody, how the DSE let him become a free agent is beyond me...Hunt vs. CroCop is also supposed to happen aswell, which could be more interesting than in K-1
  21. Please, D-Block won't even make a dent no matter how much they rip him apart.Mainstream don't give a fuck about D-Block, same with Yuk, Budden etc. They beat Game, yet, who's the one who's way past more than Budden's sold in his career, in his first week? Gee, Ether really propelled Nas and ruined Jay-Z's career didn't it?50 wants them to come at him, it's just more publicity, and getting more people hyped about what 50's gon' come back with, which will add another 10 million on top of his next album. And Banks' punchlines along with Game might be able to leave them with some cred. Keyword: might.
  22. As soon as Lewis noticed the cut, he took him apart, easily, thats what I meant.I knew it was a lucky shot, but shit happens, and as he was cut, Lewis layed back and picked him off.I don't remember saying he hit him cleanly with a punch that split him wide open. And Lewis is always lazy against people not up to his percieved standard (Rahman, etc) but comes hard in rematches, or big fights (Holyfield, Tyson). It's well-known, Lewis steps up his game when he needs to, and drops back for weaker challenges. I'd rather have Vitali win the rematch for the sake of whats left of the Heavyweight division, but Lewis would demolish him in 8.
  23. Do people forget Hasim Rahman so quickly?Or McCall?Lewis always underestimates opponents and comes back 10x harder the next fight and fucks them up, your all idiots to believe if Klitchko stands a chance. Klitchcko got his ass handed to him the first time round (Lewis was down on the cards, but he knew it wasn't gonna last that long when he got cut so quickly, so Lewis cruised, and tagged that eye with his stiff jab...same as he did with Tyson. There was no way that would have went the distance because Lewis would have continued to tag the eye, the mans one of the best technicians, but will never get recognised as a great champ because he had inferior competiton (compared to Ali and such)
  24. Ginobili's third option on that team, and his scoring went down when Pop decided he'd drop his minutes in faovur of Brown and Barry...The Spuyrs are trying to makie too much depth, so of course it's gon hurt Ginobili.Tony Parker's turned into the 2nd option so Ginobili has to play the roleplayer and get steals etc, to carry his offence. When Ginobili plays internationallly, he consistantly averages 20 a night, but isn't a selfish player, and takes his opportunities when he gets them, instead of forcing shots like Kobe, for example....gee, those Lakers are playing well without Kobe, may I add.If he was more aggressive on offence and looked for the ball more often, he probably would be averaging 20 a night. Ginobili, given a chance to play more minutes, would be great, he doesn't get that luxury though with Barry and Brown and such pushing behind him. And I was going on how much Tinsley's scoring's up, and his leadership when the team lost it's stars, more so than anything.Hell, if that Fantasy guy Rob whatever can list Wade as the current Most Improved, I can go for Tinsley.
