  1. Not that good of a movie. It was okay, but not something Id see again or own on DVD. Very few laugh out loud scenes for me. Not really anything overly funny in the movie outside Franco's role which was the best of the movie. 2/5.
  2. I'd think its more fun being around actual people than typing stuff through them or however that BD live thing would work, so people not wanting to go to their friends wouldnt really be out of the question. The whole BD Live thing may be for people who are states apart or something like that.
  3. All I can say about the whole Mr. Reese thing is that Nolan could have put that in there for a third film, since was it not Batman Begins that ended with that Joker card being handed from Gordon to Batman to set up a second movie? Not that I'd agree with the whole Mr. Reese thing since I know nothing of the comic books of Batman, but it isn't impossible for the Reese thing to be a set up for a third film even if a third isnt written yet since the same thing more or less happened in Begins with the Joker card being brought into play. Honestly, I dont know if ANYTHING will ever beat out Titanic. That movie has what, 800million or something? Dark Knight was great, but I think Titanic will remain number one for a very, very long time to come.
  4. Step Brothers is a good flick. Not laugh out loud funny at every turn, but a good film I think. Better Off Dead with John Cusack from like the 80's I think was a good film as well. My uncle told me about it so I gave it a look. It isnt something you watch for the realism or anything since it's a comedy, and it has the two asians from that one Family Guy episode where Peter is going to race maids with. Should give it a look for no reason other than to see some nice suicide attempts go wrong in a humorous way.
  5. Considering this is a cult classic, I was wondering if anybody else has seen it on here. I actually first watched it about two years ago and then a year ago. Back on 06 I watched the first half, and a year ago I watched the second. I have to say, I do not see why this movie has gained such a following. The first half is decent, but the second half is just horrible for me. Didn't really get any joy outta the second half. Only reason I decided to watch it was because I was curious to how the movie ended. So yes. Does anybody on here actually like the movie?
  6. Maybe it's because i have a soft spot for 'Forever' and "& Robin", actually liking the movies as movies and not necesarily as Batman movies, but I wouldnt mind Robin in a Nolan Batman film. Obviously much later (like the last ever movie if the Batman movies by Nolan go past 3 (which I would like only if the plots are good; just because they may not top Dark Knight doesnt mean there cant be more good ones made) in this new series of movies. I think Nolan would be able to make a great Batman film that included Robin, whether it be a full out movie with Batman and Robin or a movie where the last half hour has Robin. I dont know, though. I was/am entertained by Batman Forever and Batman & Robin as campy, corny little flicks.
  7. I dont see why people think they shouldnt recast the Joker character just because Ledger did an amazing job in the role. Even though people though Nicholson did a great job in the same role, it didn't exactly stop people from being excited that The Joker was being brought in for the film. Besides, they NEED The Joker to be in the film. Obviously if people see a third movie and go "Well he's no Ledger", then of coure theyll be dissapointed. It'd be stupid to try and compare the Jokers, though. If people instead sit through a third movie and go "Wow. His take on the Joker is really good." and dont try comparing it to Ledger's performance, then it'll be good. Point is they NEED Joker for a third movie. You cant compare a possible recast to Ledger's performance because that's just stupid to do, and just because Ledger did an amazing job in the role doesnt mean nobody can ever in the entire span of time ever be recast as The Joker.
  8. Yeah, I know that. But Family Guy just takes the piss out of it by doing it every 5 seconds in overused cutscenes that most of the time fail at being funny.
  9. Neither. Watched South Park in the early seasons but stopped watching for no reason other than loss of interest. The seasons I did see were good. Family Guy is a show that has not aged well at all for me. I now wish Fox never brought the show back. The entire premise of the show is just to have cute little cutscenes every five seconds to try and make fun of something in mainstream news or media or whatever. It just gets annoying when every other second the show is trying to be funny by going "not like that one time such and such happened!" and then going to some cutscene of something not even relevant to the episode. I can sit through the show and I still find some episodes good, but overall the show just sucks compared to what I thought of it years ago. Back then it was good because it was new, but it is just overhyped and is shown too much (twice a day every weekday over here), which might be why I have grown tired of it since Ive seen all the episodes too much. The episode of South Park where they make fun of Family Guy I think hits the nail on the head. FGwriters just take 5 words, put them together, and turn it into a joke for an irrelevant, most of the time unfunny cutscene. Just takes the piss out of something, whether its a movie or another show or something in the news, and turns it into a joke for no reason other than trying to make a funny. The shows first airings = great. The shows airings today = horrible.
  10. Great movie. Really a great movie. Acting, plot, everything was superb. Ledger was the star here. Bale was the star for Begins, and Ledger was for Dark Knight. As was said Ledger's scenes were top notch and he delivered to full capacity in each and every one of them. Not once could I actually look at The Joker and go "That is Heath Ledger," not even Spoiler: Click here to viewWhen Batman propped the chair against the door and starting to beat the shit out of him, causing some of the makeup to come off Spoiler: Click here to viewThe ending of the movie NEEDS a third one to be made, as it can't just leave off there regardless of it surpassing Dark Knight or not. To not do a movie just based on fear of not being able to outdo this one would be ludicrous. The only reason I could see a third not being made is not being able to recast The Joker. But I believe it can be done. Nobody thought Ledger would be able to pull it off until trailers leaked out showing him in character. Joker getting to Dent was good, and it shows Two Face as more than just someone killing people. The way his character was brought out after the fire was excellent. He may or may not be dead, and I personally wish he isnt because Id like to see what Nolan could do with the character in a third, especially when Batman is the one people are after when Dent knows they should be after him. Rachel dying was unexpected, but a great way to bring Two Face out. Plus the early scenes of Dent with the coin were nicely done to foreshadow Two Face later on. As Teej, I believe, said: Deebo. I LOVED the scene where Joker had Batman down and was looking out at the boats, letting out the small smile only to be dissapointed that neither boat was blown up. Fucking Gordon faking his death was beautiful. The Joker took the movie, though. Everything he did, from the beginning where he staged the other 5 killing eachother and simply shooting the bus driver after asking "What happened to them?", to his magic trick, to pretending to be dead for the black guy, to his one phonecall... Just everything. Putting the bomb inside the guy in the cell and using the phonecall to detonate it was a nice touch. His blade he always carried around was nice as well as I was just waiting for him to cut somebody up with it. The two different stories for how he got the scars was a great way to leave his backstory a mystery, and a third would have been great as someone else said. Dropping Rachel out the window after being told to let her go... Really, even if the movie is a Batman movie, The Joker was the star of The Dark Knight. The ending was a great way to set up a third one. Even if they recast The Joker for a smaller role, a third one would be great to either end the new series or to end the Joker/Two Face story and set up a fourth, which honestly I would not object to. I can see a third bringing Two Face back with it being revealed Dent was simply put into a coma or as was said in this thread brought to some hidden place to rehabilitate him or something. Two Face NEEDS to be in a third movie, just because Id love to see a third movie take Gotham wanting Batman taken out and the entire thing being spun around somehow to Two Face being the villain and Gotham needing Batman back. Very great movie. I wish it didnt end, I wish Ledger was still alive to take in the glory and to star in a third. Superb movie, movie of the year, best Batman flick of all time (yes, even beating the 1989 one), Ledger is THE Joker for the fact that he pulled it off so well without seeming like the type that could do so (honestly, Jack was just being Jack in the original Batman to me. Nothing more, nothing less), and just everything Ledger did as The Joker, everything he said, the way he said and did those things, his tone of voice, EVERYTHING was fan-fucking-tastic. Even if nobody can fill the shoes of The Joker, I'd like to see the character recast for a possible third movie 1) to give The Joker to someone else to put their own spin onto and 2) I really want the character to live on in the third (and possible future films as a thorn in Batman's side).
  11. I quite like.. Spoiler: Click here to viewWhen the scene where the woman comes in all bloody faced crying. The scene after that made me seriously let out a huge "What the fuck you fucking cunt?!" Her calling his dead wife a whore and shit until he hit her, then waiting in the car just staring at him was really fucked up.
  12. Sarah Marshall was okay. Outside the stuff from the trailers there wasn't really anything that great about it. The "blowjob" thing on the webcam, the guy dropping his towel at the beginning... About it. Nothing laugh out loud funny. Good movie to waste money on. Even though the movie was meant to be romantic comedy that ends with the happy love ending, I wish Hollywood wouldn't go that route so often. Sometimes it is warrented, but other times I see the end of a movie and roll my eyes going "oh come the fuck on." I will truely cry if Step Brothers ends with the two of them getting married and having kids that fight at first or some crap like that.
  13. I think the movie could be good. The trailer where Ferrell is throwing dirt on whatshisname was funny. "What are you doing?!" "Burying you!" "My dad gonna wonder where I am!" "He'll NEVER know you're gone!" This movie and Tropic Thunder are two movies Im interested in seeing.
  14. Anyone else seen this film? Has Guy Pearce in it along with a couple people from The Matrix (Joe... P. I think and the woman that played Trinity). Have to say this film is very, very good, both in plot and the way it is shown. Without spoiling the plot, the way the film works is there are two storylines going on, one in black/white and another in color. The movie starts with the final scene, and works its way backwards in color. The black/white scenes are the beginning of the movie. So you see a color scene at first, which chronologically is the final event of the movie, followed by a black and white scene, which is the first event of the movie. After the first black and white scene you see the next color scene, which is what happens before the previous color screen (so you see Scene Z in color, then Scene Y is the next color scene), and it goes on like that in maybe around 5-10 intervals. Really a great movie, you just have to pay attention.
  15. I liked the movie quite a lot. I dont really care for reviews movies get. A high rated movie by others doesnt make my expectations go up nor does a low rated movie by others make my expectations go down. I like what I like, even if it is a movie 99% of movie critics shit on, and I hate what I hate, even if it is a movie that 99% of the world orgasms over. I watched the movie for what it was, not to criticize it. There are only a very few movies that I couldnt help but criticize and that is because they were utter shit (date/epic movie and team america). I thought the movie was good, made me dislike the father with the way he treated Olive and such, grandfather dying was out of the blue (not being able to keep at least ONE person there seemed like just a way to get the ending bit in, though), etc etc. All in all though Id probably give it the same *** rating as you did, just without finding as much wrong with the movie.
  16. [insert any words here, it'll have more of a point than the sentence above it] Not sure how it doesnt make sense. I thought Donnie Darko was horrible, and think that a sequal being made to the movie most likely wouldnt be too great either, especially when a sequal doesnt need to be made considering the first one didn't really leave off on any sort of cliffhanger or anything (that I can remember at least).
  17. Didnt like the first one, so I cant see a sequal being made when it doesnt need to be made being any good whatsoever.
  18. Spoiler: Click here to viewHoly fucking shit. I opened the spoiler tag up and was freaked the fuck out. But Ill be damned if Two Face doesnt look incredible in that picture.
  19. Just finished watching it myself. Was a good movie with a good little 'twist' more towards the end. Id probably rank it higher than No Country, only because I think NCFOM is way overrated and is just a decent film and nothing more than what others make it out to be.
  20. CAF is basically like Create a Taunt. You string pieces of moves/taunts/setups/etc etc together, with 10 being the max amount of animations you can use.
  21. Wow... The create a finisher addition is an awesome one. That and Co-op career mode are two great additions to an otherwise dull series. EDIT- One thing Im not sure about is the shared momentum thing. Dont think its good that if you have a fresh Jeff Hardy on the apron and Matt gets the shit beat out of him, that Jeff has to take whatever Matt takes.
  22. I truly hope the show doesnt go for seven seasons. I think 4 should be the last one. As much as I like the show, I really dont think there is much (interesting) things for the show to run another 4 seasons. Two more should at least be the max to end the show on five seasons. Just dont want the show to go on too long where it just gets stale and boring and uninteresting and a shell of its former self. Four seasons would be the perfect amount to end the show on. As for the news... Not really sure. I actually liked the show without the usual lovey romance crap you see in most other shows. Im not sure if Sara coming back will really make the season all that great, with the exception of how Sara being alive is presented, because like I said it'll just lead to more romancy crap that I was glad was out of season 3 for the most part.
  23. I'd go with that guy from The New Guy and Delta Farce. Not because Id want him to play me, but because a few years ago one person said I looked like him.
  24. I remember Cuthbert being in an Are You Afraid of the Dark series if I remember correctly.
  25. Courtesy of www.wrestlinggamers.com, the below is an exclusive interview with one of the makers of the upcoming TNA/Midway "iMPACT!" video game, coming this summer! In the interview, Turmell talks at length about the making of the game as well as some exclusive details: 1. Even though "TNA Impact" is the first TNA videogame, what are your expectations from the game? Mark: We are extremely excited about this game, and let me tell you why. TNA has so many elements that make great gameplay. Competitive head to head multiplayer action, move sets that are easy to pick up but rich with new moves and moments to discover, quick responsive controls, and great animations which make the players wince with pain and laugh at their outrageousness. When combining that with stunning next gen visuals, robust sounds; music and commentary, the unique nature of the 6 sided ring and growing popularity of TNA Wrestling, and you can see why we have strong expectations for TNA Impact the videogame. 2. It was announced that the season mode in "TNA Impact" will be based on a created wrestler, how will the season mode work? in terms of storylines, how much "freedom" will the player get? Mark: Yes, the Create a Wrestler mode is at the heart of our story mode. Instead of doing a standard Season Mode, we chose to tell a story about the inner workings and power struggle within TNA. The Story Mode begins with a man who's been beaten to the edge of death, had his body dumped in Tijuana Mexico, and awakes in a Plastic Surgeons office not knowing who he is or how he got there. From there the player must re-establish his identity, recover his memories, and fight back to gain was rightfully his in TNA. The player has many choices as he creates his wrestler, expands his move set, and attempts to become a TNA Champion. 3. The game is scheduled to be released on all next-generation consoles; even with the better graphics don't you think that having only 4 wrestlers on screen at once isn't enough? Mark: Given that this is our first TNA wrestling game, we wanted to focus on the match types and elements that get the majority of play and interest. So we opted to have our art team create incredible next-gen visuals by limiting the on screen wrestlers to 4. This still provides us with a wide array of matches and play style, and give us room to grow too! 4. Ultimate X and King of the mountain matches are scheduled to appear in the game, can you give us more details about these matches implanted into the game? Mark: Yes, we do have a variety of matches in the game, and Ultimate X is unique to wrestling video games. The players must climb up onto ropes which are suspended above the ring, fight off their opponents, and attempt to untie the X which is dangling at the center of the ring. Players can attack from the X ropes down to the ring, to others on the ropes, and of course players in the ring or on the turnbuckles can attack opponents on the X ropes. Ultimate X matches are part of the Story Mode as well as matches you can play in VS Mode. 5. Wrestling and nostalgia goes well together, what are the chances of seeing classic models like Kevin Nash, Blonde hair Sting, and even Classic Raven? Mark: I'd say the chances are very high! While we do have a robust roster and several surprises in the shipping title, we also support downloadable content such as new wrestlers. We are always listening to the wrestling fans and trying to provide what they are looking for. 6. Online content is considered to be a very important feature in the world of videogames, will we see an online e-fed in the game? Mark: Not in TNA Impact. While we enjoy watching the E-fed community and aspire to add such features in our products, it's just too early for us to focus on that. It's been a ton of work just getting players to fight head to head in a crisp and fair fashion! So we agree that on-line is critical, we believe we are providing enough content and enough leaderboards to satisfy the players of our first TNA title. 7. Many moves are being captured by the animation team, what are the chances of seeing popular moves that aren't associated with TNA wrestlers, moves like the pedigree, "Sweet chin music", F-5 and the Jackhammer? Mark: While we did capture the moves of our TNA talent, it is safe to say that we went overboard and captured even more moves. Including the 3 you reference! We are still actively putting in moves and applying them to the appropriate wrestlers and situations, so you'll have to wait until the game ships to see who/what/when! 8. It is not secret that "TNA Impact" is scheduled to compete with THQ's highly popular "Smackdown Vs Raw" series, any thoughts about the comparison between the two games at this level? Mark: Well, we have great respect for the WWE titles and can readily acknowledge the huge fan base, breadth of features, and excellent ring entrances. They are a strong force with 10+ years of constant development. However, we are not big fans of the moment to moment gameplay that the Smackdown Vs Raw games provide. Controller responsiveness and crispness is just not there. And we believe that is a key component of fun gameplay. So we've focused on that and are happy with our direction. It's more similar to the old N64 No Mercy game than anything else. So from a feature standpoint, our first TNA Impact videogame will not match up against Smackdown Vs Raw, but from a gameplay and in-ring entertainment standpoint we will shine. Competition is great for videogames, and I suspect our TNA Impact game will have an effect on future WWE titles. 9. Since there won't be any referee in the game, how will the weapons usage work, usually in a wrestling game the player has to distract the referee in order to use a weapon? Mark: We took a fairly simple approach to this, and allow a weapon to be used only in specific match types, and limit the weapon to a number of strikes before it's broken. Actually, that is all very similar to the WWE game. 10. Last but not least, when will we see a wrestling game for the pc? Mark: Well, if you come into our offices you'd see a version of TNA Impact running on PC! The PC is a different animal, and we love it, but it's up to the marketing folks to figure that out!
