Esp. the earlier material. The whole "yeah yeah yeah" type deal just doesn't do it for me. Now I can dig the later material (esp. "Across the Universe"), but I don't and will not ever like pre-Rubber Soul Beatles. Yeah, music that breaks previous social or musical boundaries is really terrible. You mightn't think it's catchy but to say you hate something that paved the way for the type of music you listen to today is disrespectful.

For me, it's one of these three: Led Zeppelin - IV - Has already been spoken about. Fantastic album and can't really add more to what's been said. The Beatles - Seargent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band - So many things we take for granted today in records were established on this album. Every single song on the album is a classic. Highlights would be Getting Better which just showcases Lennon and McCartney's differences both in songwriting and life. She's Leaving Home is beautiful. Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite is just a strange contrast of simplicity and complexity at the same time. With A Little Help From My Friends is tailor made for Ringo's voice. The greatest Beatles song of all time imo finishes it up with A Day In The Life. Just a total masterpiece in every single way. George Harrison - All Things Must Pass - Some of the most beautiful music ever recorded. I'd Have You Anytime, My Sweet Lord, Isn't It A Pity, Beware of Darkness, All Things Must Pass, I Dig Love... for a double album of 23 songs to all be quality is a feat, but of this quality is insane. Also have to give an honourable mention to Elton John - Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy.

My favourite bands are 60's and 70's rock acts, so some people are surprised to find Kelly Clarkson, Justin Timberlake, Jay Z, Chemical Brothers, and that sort of stuff in my collection. But I wouldn't call that really weird. Also love jazz and crooners. The only real "weird" band mentioned in here is Anal Cunt. The rest are just bands that don't necessarily fit in with what other people think of you... and if you only listen to one genre of music I pity you. And the Beatles rape you and your entire family. Castillo's bagging out of the Beatles is especially laughable.

They won't change the call. The scenerios where things have changed for me using the argue feature: 1) If the game is close and your player gets called out on a really close call, but they ARE out... you go out and argue but don't get kicked out of the game... your team will pump up at the support you show and you will get a bit better contact, and you will probably get the next close call. 2) If the game if close and your player gets called out on a call where he was safe, or like he gets called out on a check swing that he didn't go on... I go out and argue really heated and usually get ejected... your team will get pumped up, get better contact bit better power... you will get the next close call. 3) Say, like Midget said, the ump isn't giving your corners. Go argue, but don't get called out... likely you will get corners now. 4) You argue when your player is clearly out in a game that is clearly over... like you have a 10 run lead or whatever. Your players won't be impressed and they will get worse contact/power. You won't get the next close call. Dunno if these are all the things that can happen but they are what I've experienced.

I've just finished my first season with the Pirates. We lost to LA in the divisional series after winning the wildcard a game behind Cinicinatti. My experience with the arguing calls feature, it'll get you some close calls if you argue calmly, but if you get screwed you should always argue as it'll pump up your players and you'll get better contact etc in a close game. I'm about to begin an owner mode game, will see how this goes

Over the past two months or so the local here has kareoke a couple of times a week. I always say I won't sing, but after I get a few in me I inevitably get up there and make a fool out of myself. So what's everyone's favourite songs to sing at kareoke? I nearly always bust Back in the USSR and Crocodile Rock, and have been known to wail a little Khe San.

I got Lewis Black's cd White Album and I didn't really dig it. There were a few smile moments but no real laugh out loud. I hated that head shaking thing too "whibbawhabba" I dunno how to type it, but it irritated me. cauti0n's Mitch Hedberg love gives me wood.

DH adds another quality hitter to face. In my opinion, that makes it alot harder for the pitcher rather than pinch hit opportunities later in the game. Just to play devils advocate in the Pedro thing: Pedro had a shitty year last year, but look at his stats for the previous years. He'd been so consistant up until '04. Probably preasure of being in his contract year... that's the only explanation I can think of, although he threw fantasticly for the Expos in '97. This is the first time his ERA has been over 3.00 since 1996. He's also a "name" player who'll generate revenue and hype... if he performs like he can he'll not only help them win games, he'll bring in a huge amount of money. Of course he's still going to have a huge salary. The years may be a worry, but the guy's only 32. One bad year doesn't kill your salary, just like one good year shouldn't shoot it way up. If he throws poorly this year too bad for the Mets. I don't think he will, but I won't be losing any sleep if he does. I don't like the guy and I sure as hell don't like the Mets. Clemens has had a bunch of shitty seasons, but he's still one of the best pitchers in baseball. The good ballplayers bounce back.

AC/DC - Excellent. Stuck to what they could do and they do it very well. Slayer - Kerry King is the shit. I'm not a big fan but alot of my friends are, so I don't hate them. He had a string of average albums for a while but Love & Theft is fantastic and one of my favourite Dylan albums. I think a new audience will definately appreciate him. My parent's were never big Dylan fans, but a friend lent me Blood on the Tracks when I was 14 and I fell in love with his music. So I think it'll continue like that, rather than chart wise or anything... I think that's what you were asking.
