  1. Seemed to me like a knock off of Se7en but it wasn't too bad.
  2. That's what you think, you obviously have I different perception of what makes a bassist great. I enjoy energy and enthusiasm, Hoppus is always energtic and fun on stage. He isn't the greatest skill ever, however he's better than you're giving him credit for. ← He is a good performer. I don't think he's a good bassist.
  3. No he's not. McCartney, Dave Bronze, Klaus Voormann.
  4. Someone had a screen shot of this in their sig back in the day.
  5. There are too many sub genres, these days.
  6. Sorry that was kinda vague. It uses guitar, but most Clapton albums the guitar is the main focal point if you get me. Alot of solos, complicated riffs etc and the guitar drives the songs. In this the vocals do while the guitar is more in the background than on his other work. In my opinion of course.
  7. The only goes for about 8 minutes, if I remember correctly. The ones I mentioned were 10mins or above. But that is my favourite Beatles song.
  8. No one cares about tennis. You could tell by the way they kept cutting to Bec Cartright during Leyton's matches.
  9. Wow. The first movie sounds so much better than all of these comics do.
  10. Lazy Grey - Banned In Queensland Aussie hip hop. I like it alot.
  11. It's a very "safe" album, if you will. It's very produced and I know some people don't like that. It's not as emotional as Clapton can be... which is partly I guess because it's not a guitar album. If anything it really showcases Clapton's voice which isn't such a bad thing. That said I did like the album quite a bit. It's very respectful and got me motivated to finally dig a little deeper and check out some original Johnson stuff.
  12. I'm becoming a big Robert Johnson fan since I got Clapton's album of Johnson covers.
  13. Couple of my favourite 10min plus songs (done from memory so I think they're all over 10mins... I can't be bothered getting all of my CDs out to check): - Bob Dylan 'Desolation Row' - Bob Dylan 'Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands' - Bob Dylan 'Joey' - Bob Dylan 'Highlands' - Bob Dlyan 'Like A Rolling Stone (MTV Unplugged Version)' - AC/DC 'Jailbreak' (Jam Version) - AC/DC 'Let There Be Rock' (Jam Version) - Jimi Hendrix 'Voodoo Chile' - Jimi Hendrix '1983 (A Merman I Should Turn To Be)' - Led Zeppelin 'In My Time Of Dying' (Live Version) - Led Zeppelin 'No Quater' (Live Version) - Neil Young 'Cowgirl In The Sand' - Neil Young 'Love To Burn' - Opeth 'Blackwater Park' - Tool 'Disgustipated' - Tool 'Third Eye' - Paul McCartney 'Eleanor Rigby/Eleanor's Dream Medley' - Paul McCartney 'Hold Me Tight/Lazy Dynamite/Hands Of Love/Power Cut Medley' - Stevie Ray Vaughan 'Tin Pan Alley' - Jackson Brown 'Load Out & Stay' - Jimi Hendrix 'Machine Gun' - Bruce Springsteen 'Jungleland' - Justin Timberlake 'I'm Loving It (Live Band Introduction Version)' I'm sure there's more.
  14. They got engaged. It's been all over these bullshit A Current Affair shows tonight.
  15. As well as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen...
  16. They've been making fun of this on Australian radio for months now. Pretty shitty idea.
  17. If the bowl at your toes either advance down the pitch to the slow bowlers, or for the quicks hit it down legside (if you time it correct you'll hit it, but you gotta be confident because if it's on the stumps and you miss you're fucked). Only other advice I'd give is not to try any power shots until the guy has dug in for a bit in a test... I usually tuck them away till I'm about 30 or so. Be careful once you hit milestones (50, 90's, 100 etc) as I'd say there's some AI in the game that makes you get out around here if you go for power shots... have to sorta dig in again for another 10 runs or so. Anyway, go get 2004. The confidence meter = best inclusion in a cricket game ever.
  18. Holy shit I remember this game and it ruled hardcore. All this talk is gunna make me go rumage through the basement to find all my old consoles...
  19. I liked it. Not gorundbreaking but pretty funny.
  20. Tom wasn't postwhoring, he was making fun of the original poster. And I like that.
  21. I don't watch the show, but this is is so fucking sad. Are you that self concious that you can't buy a DVD off someone at the shops you don't even know?
  22. All Things Must Pass - George Harrison A Day In The Life - The Beatles Hey Jude - The Beatles Julia - The Beatles Rocky Raccoon - The Beatles Yesterday - The Beatles Let Me Roll It - Wings No More Lonely Nights - Wings Maybe I'm Amazed - Wings Isn't It A Pity - George Harrison there's a few. might post some others later
  23. Chase Dabney - From the US. Kentucky/Louisville area I think. Came to live in Australia for six months or so and I saw him once or twice a week for pretty much that whole time. Amazing acoustic guitar soloist. No vocals and probably not for everyone but he can play as good as anyone I've ever heard. If you ever get the chance to see him live, definately recommended - plays over his head, sculling a whole beer... does guitar "lap dances"... very animated and totally gets into it. Here's a good description on him: http://www.chasedabney.com/ http://www.purevolume.com/chasedabney/music
  24. Huh? I've never heard anyone say anything bad about Crowded House. They're hugely respected by the media and fans alike... I have no idea how they wouldn't have "integrity". ← If you read the post fully, I said it wasn't bands that were bashed by people, more bands that didn't have much following now, then they did when they were around, and some other bands who don't have much integrity. Take it this way, someone who listens to Crowded House tends to think they are just middle of the road pop, with a little bit of rock, and massive amounts of sap. I love them, but that tends to be what people think. ← Sorry, I thought we were posting in the Bands You Like That Everyone Seems to Criticise thread, not the Bands That Were Once Popular But Now Aren't Because They're Older thread. In that case, for me it'd be Sinatra. edit: typo
