  1. "When I smoked, I didn't like second-hand smoke. You know? I like that first-hand smoke because you get to suck it right out of the cigarette, you know? And that second-hand -- any fucking thing that's already been ingested by someone is not as good. You know what I mean? Like a pork sandwich is delicious, but ... a digested pork sandwich? That's fucking shit!" -Norm MacDonald-
  2. Out of Your Mouth - Music I swear to God, that is five times worse than any song ever recorded, including William Hung's entire album.
  3. Yes, now I remember. They were in some sort of building and it got shot up. The dude got hit and Jack escaped. Hopefully next season they'll get a character like that as head of CTU, because they're nothing special and allow Jack Bauer to be the real main character.
  4. Dammit, now I wish I had picked up 24 season 1 on DVD today instead of Family Guy/Roswell. I actually do vaguely remember a meeting with CTU including someone Jack's superior, I guess it was Walsh. Was he an older guy?
  5. Reggie and the Full Effect - Under the Tray You actually had to look under the CD tray to find the CD. When you did, there was a picture of the band's mascot Paco with the caption (written on his fingers a la Ozzy Osbourne) "Good Look'n!". Reggie and the Full Effect - Promotional Copy Some stores actually thought it was a promotional copy of an upcoming album and didn't put it on sale until they got the joke. blink 182 - Take Your Pants Off and Jacket Say what you will about blink, but they know their double entendres. blink 182 - Enema of the State Ditto.
  6. Jack was the original head of CTU. He lost the position when they thought he was trying to assassinate Palmer or something. Mason took over from him, who promptly died halfway through season 2. Tony took over for Mason, but Michelle took over for Tony when he got shot. She realised that she'd rather be at Tony's side than run CTU and Chappelle took over. After Chappelle was killed, Tony took over again. When Tony committed treason, Jack took over. Technically, Jack is back where he should be. It'll be interesting to see what happens next season, considering Jack was technically under investigation for heroin use.
  7. The show was running along slowly until the second half, which absolutely rocked. Jack crying gives them so many different ways to go about next season, including Jack's growing apathy towards the CTU. Hopefully Tony leaving the show will put Jack back where he should be, head of CTU.
  8. Hollywood demands sequels, but the fact that Annhilation was a flop seemed enough reason to not make it a trilogy. As for Wilson, yes, we do know her from Billy Madison. Why? Because that movie was good.
  9. It's Bridgette Wilson. It's funny how no one remembers her for that role. As for a third film, didn't we say all we needed to say with the first one? I mean, good guys vs bad guys, good guys win in the end, Sonya is hot while Cage is a suckerpunching fuck, I get it.
  10. In true MTV fashion, the network will feature 2 hours of Gay themed programing and 22 of Making the Band 2.
  11. It's the attack of the "real" metal fans! Seriously, Death Metal gives me a fucking headache. Those folks need to stop taking themselves so seriously, and fans are included in that.
  12. I did a whole thing on the old board, which I'll probably repost soon, but off the top of my head (1 being the most anticipated): 1. Garden State 2. J.M. Barrie's Neverland 3. Dodgeball 4. The Terminal 5. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy 6. Before Sunset 7. The Manchurian Candidate 8. Ocean's Twelve 9. Sky Captain and the World of Tommorow 10. The Polar Express
  13. I've heard it, and it's on par with any metal album you're going to hear all year. The guitar work is perhaps the most astounding; to go from riff based to being actually able to shread is a huge step forward. The acoustic songs give the album a nice balance. This is definitely a different Slipknot from the first two albums, but at least now there's nothing corny or cliched about them. I think with this record people will start to look past the costume gimmick and really pay attention to how good the music is. IMO, the best songs are Vermillion, Danger - Keep Away, Welcome and Opium of the People.
  14. Poor Lee, he takes a lot of heat for a film that while not good, he was very charming in. As for my favorite movie stars of all time, I'd have to agree with Steve McQueen and add Sam Jackson, Tom Hanks and John Wayne.
  15. Actually I distinctly remember an MTV special in which Method Man and Redman moved in with a rich family from New Orleans for a couple of nights. These guys have a great sense of humour and if it pours over into this show, I think it could be great.
  16. I'll definitely be taping one, I just think I'll be missing a lot of first run episodes. Of course, if CTV continues to show The O.C. on Mondays in Canada that won't make much of a difference, as I'll then be torn between 24 and The O.C.
  17. Team USA is not going to be a major player in the World Cup, especially if some of the Europeans take a vested interest in winning. Robert Esche is not the goalie you want representing you, but I guess they got to take what they can get in that sense. The States might finish 4th or 5th, but I don't see them medalling. This tournament will come down to Russia, Sweden and Canada as it should.
  18. Depending on when in January they choose to premiere it, they could avoid NFL interruption completely. If I remember correctly FOX doesn't cover Conferences finals or the SuperBowl, so if they do it in mid to late January they can avoid any interuption. What this does is give FOX an entire three hour block of new programing, something I don't believe they've ever had before.
  19. FOX has it's real comedy stronghold on Sunday nights... couldn't really think of a better time for it.
  20. FOX I know that their investment in The O.C. has paid off in spades, but I highly doubt moving it to Thursday will make it much of a force on the night. Tru Calling and The OC will draw similar audiences, but in case you haven't noticed Tru barely draws anything. Hopefully some superb writing can make it a ratings player, but given the choice between The O.C. and Survivor: Vanuatu, I'm going to be missing a lot of OC episodes. I must commend FOX on the other hand for making the effort to further extend this little year long schedule of theirs.
  21. Contraction is the only way to go. Too many American cities are apathetic to hockey and probably shouldn't have a franchise. I don't know about the American situation, but in Canada hockey is largly marketed to youth already. As for players salaries, are their any professional sports that have lower average salaries than hockey? I mean, these guys play as much as basketball players, work harder, and still get payed a fraction of what bastketball players make. I think there's a way to go about this that doesn't include going into the pockets of the NHLPA.
  22. P.O.D - Wildfire Blink 182 - Down Weezer - Dopenose D12 - My Band
  23. Of course this is all contingent upon there being a season next year, but I suppose it's good for Hockey, with the joke that ABC has become.
  24. A Simple Plan - Perfect Limp Bizkit - Build a Bridge Coal Chamber - Loco Saliva - Raise Up
