  1. I like that this episode seemed to be "okay okay we're finally getting somewhere hang on"
  2. Sonic 2 Jazz Jackrabbit Championship Manager *Something* NBA Jam WWF Attitude Warcraft I & II Starcraft Command & Conquer FIFA 2000 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
  3. Yay strikers other than pressing forwards should be viable to use!
  4. Not just to defend United but Fergie at least was scouting someone who would go on to be immensely important to the team - if Klopp was doing the same I wouldn't have an issue. Klopp just wanted his holiday and quite clearly has a grudge against the FA. I suppose my main point from this would be - if you were in the same situation but had to play Manchester City, Chelsea etc. do you think Klopp and the boys would still be on holiday? If the answer is no then he, especially, should have been there. What's done is done now and a precedent has been set that will unfortunately probably see more and more teams doing the same thing. And I don't think anyone was saying that you in particular would kick up a fuss, just Liverpool fans in general. Just as fans of the other teams have done for Klopp. Good on the young lads for winning, though, I just think Klopp should've been there - even if he was only in an advisory capacity letting the coaches who know the players better deal with them. And props to them for dropping ticket prices.

  6. Not as often as previous FM's I don't think but it still happens. I've found it more likely you get someone sent off after using your subs - especially a defender. Might be my imagination but I find first half injuries have increased.
  7. A £40M transfer budget is where having Scandinavian players loaded comes in handy.
  8. I had a fantastic save with them in FM 2017 (I think). Immediately became an affiliate of Man Utd and had some of their lesser known youngsters come in and help the likes of Sandro Semedo and Jay Simpson secure back-to-back-to-back promotions to the Championship. Had a mid-table finish in the Championship and by the time I got to the Premier League Simpson was still spearheading the attack.
  9. I lost track of what episode I was on and thought episode 15 was the end and was okay with that but then episode 16 started. It is insane how a cartoon about an anthropomorphic horse and other humans/animal-humans managed to showcase off the problems of addiction and mental illness better than any show with actual actors on screen.
  10. Episode 2 was definitely not as good as episode 1 but I'll give it a pass as it's obviously about showing us the current state of Starfleet and Picard. I like the firey Irish Romulan.
  11. Ighalo. Huh. Well. Okay then. Guess I can't be disappointed when I don't have any expectations for him.
  12. I would've taken King back since he's serviceable on the wings, too, but not at the 40m that was being touted. Apparently Real Sociedad offered us Willian Jose on loan but if Ole says that we're done I guess we're done. At least we did something.
  13. So for the 2021/2022 season I didn't add anyone else in January. Went on to win the league by 3 points (again) ahead of Man Utd this time. Won the FA Cup against Barnsley (who were my affiliate but got promoted) and got knocked out of the Champions League in the first knockout round against PSG. Joelinton wasn't as prolific as the last two seasons but still contributed with 18 goals in the Premier League with Carles Alena backing him up from the midfield with 11. Had a pretty good run with only a few injuries. Still having problems nailing down a good left winger as Sigurdsson has been a disappointment. 2022/2023 Transfers Out: Jorge Mere to Bayer Leverkusen for £30M Ricardo Esgaio to Sheffield United for £20M + various loans including Sigurdsson on loan to Fiorentina to hopefully find some form 2022/2023 Transfers In: Jose Javier Murillo (DC newgen) from Real Zaragoza for £650K - previously arranged Jose Manuel Rodriguez (AML newgen) from Alaves for £1M - previously arranged Haviv Ohayon from Maccabi Tel-Aviv for free (Israeli GK prospect) Breel Embolo from Borussia Monchengladbach for £16.5M Ben Godfrey from Norwich for £31M Karoly Sallai (AML newgen) from IF Elfsborg for £1.1M Adil Aouchiche from PSG for free (MC prospect, immediately loaned out) Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid - loan with option to buy for £60M Troy Parrott ends up becoming home-grown at Newcastle but isn't re-loaned as I have Arezo and Embolo for striker depth now and my HG numbers are better with a few players qualifying. Godfrey is an upgrade from Mere, who was one of my first signings and had fallen behind Marco Varnier in the pecking order, and should end up better than Varnier. Hopefully Vinicius Junior does well for me and I keep him (I've left money in my budget for it) or Sigurdsson finds form while on loan. Had to give Onguene a new contract to ward off interest from Real Madrid and few others, too. First competitive game was again the Community Shield, this time against Man Utd which I won 3-0 with Saint-Maximin scoring a hat-trick. So have 2x Community Shields, 1x FA Cup, 1x Carabao Cup, 2x Premier Leagues. Just lacking European glory... My Estonian overlords are still tight so I don't have the money to compete in the Champions League. There's been talks of takeovers on and off for almost 18 months now. Still have no backup left wing-back as I haven't been able to find anyone for cheap enough. Terrier continues to train there and Matheson can fill in, too. Lineup: GK - Andre Onana / Freddie Woodman / Rob Elliot DCR - Ben Godfrey / Marco Varnier DC - Jerome Onguene / Jamaal Lascelles DCL - Ferro / Axel Tuanzebe WBR - Jayden Bogle / Luke Matheson WBL - Ben Chilwell MCR - Carles Alena / Sander Berge / Jude Bellingham MCL - Sander Berge / Sean Longstaff / Matty Longstaff AMR - Allan Saint-Maximin / Breel Embolo AML - Vinicius Junior / Martin Terrier STC - Joelinton / Breel Embolo / Matias Arezo Pretty happy with my lineup. Won't make anymore major changes unless the club gets taken over and I get lots of money and can challenge for the Champions League as that's my main goal now. Rejected Juventus in the off-season as well.
  14. I always thought it was FM taking the piss but that's crazy to know how common it is.
  15. Does anyone else find that the game has a tendency to draw you to face a team in the FA Cup or Carabao Cup that you then have to face immediately again in the league within a few days, or really close together? I'm in season 3 and in season 1 I played Watford two games in a row, Everton twice with a game in between. Season 2 I didn't have any but this season I had Man Utd two games in a row, Man City two games in a row, and Southampton two games in a row. Had it happen a lot in other games, too.
  16. Yeah my hopes are if we do get the new DoF that's being talked about in soon he will start working on deals before the season is over - at least have some plans in place to make it easier around the Euro's. Either that or we just sign all non-Europeans Honestly think McTominay is the player we need back more - he actually wants to play for the club. I don't think Pogba's heart is in it and I think it is time we accepted it and moved him and his little dabbing buddy Lingard on. Unless we get a new manager who figures out how to get Pogba firing on all cylinders.
  17. There's nothing quite as satisfying than when a defender who rejected your contract offer to go to another club in your division scores an own goal.
  18. Going to be disappointed if Fernandes is the only player we manage to bring in. I'd settle for another youngster at this stage. Oh well hopefully we have better luck in the off season transfer market (lol).
  19. If Liverpool deemed the FA Cup unimportant then they wouldn't have fielded any first team players in the competition at all. It's utter disrespect to the lower league teams and is only happening because they are running away with the league. If another club like Chelsea, United or City had done this and not Liverpool, Liverpool fans would be rabid. Klopp and Liverpool should be ashamed of themselves.
  20. Yeah any argument about Klopp not going is invalid unless there has been a case of a manager not going to a cup game because he couldn't be arsed before this, if there is I can't remember it.
  21. Well it makes sense if you think about it, you are entitled to leave (and companies have to give it to you) but you aren't entitled to go on leave during the busiest period for the company you are working for etc. It's why most people have leave over Christmas because their factories etc. close down. I know people that would rather keep working over Christmas and take leave off during winter, but it doesn't work that way. It does suck, at one job I accumulated 12 weeks worth of leave (4 weeks per year so 3 years) but I could never find a suitable time to book it off with work. Made for a nice bonus when I left the company, though. And yes I am sure I might think differently if I was on PL money but it is 1 match, I just don't get why it is such a huge deal. EDIT: And just to be clear, I am more upset that Klopp isn't going to be there. He's the first team coach, Shrewsbury's fixture is against Liverpool not Liverpool U23's, he should be there.
  22. Tbh I think it is really unprofessional on Klopp's part. Even as a Man Utd fan I find the man hard to dislike but I just think this is really rude to Shrewsbury that even he won't turn up. And the players earn that much bloody money that they shouldn't be whinging about having to play one extra tie during a break. I have had this happen to me on multiple occasions. I didn't like it but I was being paid to perform a job and at least here in Australia leave is an entitlement. It is up to you and the employer to agree on a time when leave best suits you, if you cannot come to an agreement it falls to the employer to book leave for you at their discretion. If I was on Premier League money I would not be complaining about playing one more fixture.
  23. In the Beta I had Liverpool win everything except the FA Cup, the final was their only loss of the seasons. That's insane.
