  1. Any decent record store should sell them...if you can't find it at one of the larger chains (I don't really know what they are there) then you can claim that they're being anti-Commonwealth...and threaten to tell on them to the Queen or something. I dunno.
  2. Our Lady Peace's "Happiness...Is not a Fish that You Can Catch" and "Spiritual Machines" Both excellent albums
  3. Yeah, so as the title says, what are the best songs with a message, in your opinion? Sure, stuff like Holiday, American Idiot and the like will be mentioned...but I'm going to avoid those "The Future is X-Rated" by Matthew Good Band. This is a song that is ridden with metaphors, but it gets a point across...the video compliments it nicely, and really makes you (well, at least, me) think. Then again, you could fill in just about any song by Matthew Good Band in this spot (Hello Timebomb, Strange Days, Load Me Up) and say the same thing. "Bleed American" by Jimmy Eat World doesn't get mention for lists like this, but I think it should...The whole idea of "Sign up: The Picket Line or the Parade" and "I'm not alone 'cuz the TV's on" is sort of a commentary on North American culture...I likes it "Imagine" by John Lennon is a bit of an obvious choice...the ideals of peace and love and caring in place of hurt, pain and war is still a novel idea to some people. Controversial, surely, because of the religion line, but still a good pick. "99 Red Balloons" by Nena. A bit annoying, yes, but it still means a lot. I mean, it looks at the cold war very frankly, and reminds you that these are still people...sure, they're communists, but people nonetheless. It illustrates the paranoia of the time nicely. That's all I'm going to give for now...what are yours?
  4. I keep on missing it. That and Rick Mercer. I'm like the worst Canuck ever.
  5. I guess it's just a preference thing...honestly, I hear his voice, and I wonder "How did this man get into the music business?" Honestly, the instruments are good enough...I just can't stand his voice. EDIT: Logically, Zero, I started a conversation. No need to go off on me if I simply want to ask a question. I mean, I've heard maybe three Zombie songs, so maybe I'm just hearing the shit end. It was a legitimate question.
  6. What exactly is the appeal? Honestly, I just find his music annoying...Am I missing something?
  7. Tyler. His was most realistic looking, in my opinion. I think that makes you the winner.
  8. It's really the names, period for me. I can barely read Hugo's name, and Natalie's looks cramped. Otherwise, looks pretty much real, except for the lack of the super-small credits
  9. Yeah...The shows have been pretty bad lately...but I gotta say, "MRS. SIMPSON MADE ME GAY, DADDY!" was gold.
  10. Friends...It was heartwarming...everything seemed to fit together...and the shot of the keys at the end. It was nice
  11. So, since half my face is still frozen from dental work, I'm drooling. But I'd be drooling regardless.
  12. 4 words. Short Skirt Long Jacket.
  13. I'm sorry, but Oprah > Halle Barry. What a handsome woman, Oprah
  14. I liked Chrono Trigger...might be influenced by the fact time travel makes me happy. I liked True Crime: New York City too...I've only seen the bad cop ending, and it took me into the direction I expected, but the twist at the end of it (Marcus' godfather actually being alive) was really, really good.
  15. Basically, what songs are so damn catchy, or whatever, that you can't help but loving them, despite not particularily WANTING to. Mine at this point is definately "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt...it's SO sappy, but I love it. List yours.
  16. There's nothing wrong with having an ego if you're able to back it up with a true claim. Green Day is wildly popular, so their heads are allowed to be a tad larger than average.
  17. As much as I love Our Lady Peace, Raine Maida has to have the biggest holier-than-thou type personality I've ever seen in my life. Honestly. Kelly Osbourne...wait...is she still a singer? Either way, she's a whiny bitch... My Chemical Romance used to be quite humble, but now they seem a bit high on themselves...
  18. There are several, but I'd have to say the biggest is AFI. Havok's lyrics are so intricate, which is what I shoot for when I write songs. Neil Young's style has been creeping into some of my lyrics lately...almost talking to a specific person while writing is something that fascinates me...plus Young is a frikkin god.
