  1. Accept the fact that England played crap all tournament the only time we played decently was when we were reduced to 10 men. That in itself shows the problem that England had this World Cup. Every game they played was incredibly boring negative football not even against T & T did we play attacking fast football. England were in my opinion the least exciting team in terms of tactics and style of play at the World Cup even Italy have been more exciting.
  2. Rose.... Was a really good episode though good way of getting rid of my annoyance with England results.
  3. amazing game that one best european semi final in ages! Screw the idea of them being 1-0 tight games! Excellent result though and I'm really hoping that boro can win it now.
  4. I hate this long wait between games now! It's destroying me! We need to win two more games and we get promotion to the Championship! I just want them to hurry up. We've had such a great year this season but this would be fantastic and certainly what none of us at Colchester thought would happen.
  5. 8-10 hours really, but it is an incredibly good game. £30 on PS2.
  6. So this game rocks! Quite short though but the storyline was excellent in my opinion and they've done amazing work on the visuals of the game. Plus the gameplay made the game really enjoyable to play. If you haven't got it then I recommend buying it as it's the best Tomb Raider easily so far in my view.
  7. Hmm looks like Ballack wont be signing for us. Dont know why he would want to join Chelsea though as he's not going to get into the team of Frank Lampard and wont be a key member of the team like he would here at United.
  8. It's also rather ironic that in the same paper that they're busy creating this feeling of homophobia they're talking about how Spurs want to combat it.
  9. Quite suprised that Arsenal and Benfica won tonight. But I guess it continues the suprises of this years Champions League what with Rangers getting to this stage and Man Utd being knocked out at the group stages.
  10. Even if Cole and Campbell had started Madrid still would have equalled you with 2 english players and they're flipping Spanish!!
  11. It's really sad that the NOTW is doing this because the abuse they'll get from fans would be riduculous and will obviously affect their performance. Why bother doing it to Englands left back just before a world cup? And since when have any footballers come out?! They're too scared to because of the fans chants at them.
  12. Well that was one hell of a game today. Although 3-1 certainly flattered Chelsea as we performed fantastically. Knew they would though been down to Layer Road quite a bit this year and we play with such fluency and attacking football usuaully so wasn't to suprised to see us go at it. Anyway great game shame Chelsea won but hey they had to do it by bringing on the big names of which only one really shone.
  13. Isn't Capello being strongly linked with taking over at Manchester United?
  14. What happened to the Chelsea thread? I need somewhere to go to tomorrow when the mighty Colchester United sink them with a late header from the mighty Chris Iwelumo!
  15. Boooooooooo I liked Souness in charge it was nice seeing Newcastle fall further down the league. Mind you they're hardly safe as a loss to Portsmouth will take them within 3 points of the dropzone. Surely they'll choose a decent manager this time as Shearer isn't qualified yet.
  16. poor finishing cost us today. No problems in creating the chances. Something like 20 shots at goal. Shame Ruud was suspended, kind of highlights how key he is for us in order to score.
  17. Can't say I'm suprised all the signs were there that we wouldn't make it through. 6 awful Champions League games from Man Utd this season. Got to improve next season. Get some players in with the heart and passion to play here and players with the ability to feed Ruud Van Nistelrooy not the nice little tricks we get from Ronaldo. Bet there will a big sack Fergie thing now but I think that would be stupid as its no way to treat someone that has given us so much especially as there is no viable replacment for him. Who would want to go to a Man Utd team without European football when they could take on a Real Madrid team that has a chance of winning the champions league.
  18. We're so boring to watch its getting worse every game. Screw this flipping 4-3-3 its not working! Re-vert back to 4-4-2 and going at teams. Sure we leave ourselves open to the counter but I'd rather see us actually go for a result than watch them do nothing throughout an entire game.
  19. Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks. Birdsong is a really moving novel and is set in World War One. Perhaps not entirely exciting in the way that there is a huge amount of action every page but thats not what the book goes for. The book holds your attention incredibly well and really made me feel an attachment to the characters contained within.
  20. So far the transfer market has been pretty tame. I want to see a couple of big signings take place before the new season particularly at Manchester United and Arsenal because they wont catch Chelsea up unless they make one or two slight changes to the team. United just need a creative midfielder and Arsenal should look into picking up a quality centre back.
  21. How can you say that! We dont know if Craig is gay or straight, he's keeping his sexuality very secret.
  22. Maxwell and Saskia will be up for eviction especially as Antony and Maxwell couldn't nominate this week. Instantly means that members of "Team Saskia" will be going.
  23. Does anyone know how to deal with a player who is unhappy because of the amount of pressure he feels he is under? The guys only 18 but is going to be a superstar for me and has been playing pretty much all season and without him my Sheff Wed team goes awful and loses games very easily. So I really need to solve this problem as we're beginning to drift back down to the relegation places.
  24. Heh this season isn't a total write off. New blood is beginning to come through in players like Fletcher and Brown who have both made themselves be counted this season. The summer buys have all proved to be good investment with Rooney really shining and well we also flogged Djemba to poor Villa as well.
