  1. Keeping an eye on the Kieran Dyer situation. Could possibly want out from Newcastle if so Man Utd should defiantly snap him up. He'll probablly cost around £8 million but would be a great buy for us and would be certainly a better option than Djemba and O'Shea in center midfield.
  2. Arsenal 3 - 0 Middlesborough Birmingham 1 - 1 Chelsea Man United 1 - 0 Norwich Southampton 1 - 2 Blackburn West Brom 0 - 3 Aston Villa Ipswich 2 - 3 Cardiff Reading 0 - 0 Rotherham Leeds 2 - 2 Nottm Forest MK Dons 0 - 4 Bournemouth Swansea 3 - 1 Cheltenham
  3. United need Ronaldo more than they need Rio or Ruud. They just had nothing on the right wing and everything was going down the left where fortune was crossing. Why I have no clue seeing as Giggs was supposed to be the left midfielder.
  4. Djemba was crap he always passed to a player surrounded by blue shirts and tended to lose the ball way to many times. Phil Neville should be played ahead of him seeing as he was the reason that Butt was shipped out and now Fergies not playing him.
  5. Big moans about United today. What on earth is up with O'Shea. He is a left back play him there not centre midfield or striker whatever he was today couldn't tell. Keane, move him back to midfield as soon as Brown is fit again. Djemba Djemba get him out the squad let alone first team. Actually run at players and lift the tempo of the game. Today was terribly boring and was so predictable. They kept bloody walking up to the box. I feel we wont win the premiership because we will have a poor start once our full strength team is back we will look a lot better and will be better than Chelsea and finish higher than them.
  6. Well after this weekends football. Everton will go down along with Charlton and Crystal Palace. Arsenal will win the premiership with Chelsea and Manchester United well behind them. Liverpool and Newcastle will fight it out for fourth again whilst Bolton, Boro, Spurs and Villa will challenge for a UEFA cup spot.
  7. Woo. Sheff Wed 0 - 3 Colchester United. Great start to our season even if we had to wait 85 mins for the 1st goal!
  8. BB3 was the best what with Jade, Kate, Adele, Tim the ginger who dyed his hair, PJ, Spencer, Alison, Johnny and thw two that got married once they left the house.
  9. Big blow for United today with the news that Ruud will be out for a month. Looks like Smith and Saha will start this season off heres hoping they're on the same wavelength and can form a good partnership at least until Ruuds back.
  10. I'm hoping Chris Eagles doesnt become a regular next season because he doesn't look that good would much rather see Fletcher in the team.
  11. Colchester United have done very well this pre season. Only one loss and that was to West Ham. Pardew said that he reckons we'll be a top 6 side this year and that was backed up by Parky who said without the cup runs last year we would have probably reached the play offs. Last year we played a total of 61 games which I think was the highest amount out of the 4 leagues. So its no wonder we tailed off a bit towards the end of the season. Anyway this year I'm hoping we can get a spot in the playoffs.
  12. Monkey obviously doesn't watch Gary Neville to much if he calls him an average player. Gary gets back quickly makes good tackles usually always winning the ball. Also he gets forward and puts in some quality crosses, not to mention his long throws. He has been around for ages it seems now and has done it all. And he is a world class player. Easily better than Thuram whos considered world class.
  13. Gary Neville is one of the best defenders in the game. He is solid and you know that hes not going to cock up. He was very good once again at Euro 2004 and always has been a great player on the big stage. Everyone seems to overlook and under rate him though. He'll have yet another strong season this year and once again nobody will pick up on it.
  14. I'm sorry but if fineintent considers Kezman a world class talent how the hell can he not consider Ruud Van Nistelrooy a world class talent. Now although we've added nothing to our midfield I still feel we will have a great chance of winning the title this year and cant believe people are being stupid enough to write us off. I mean the team looks stronger than last year what with the improvement in players. Kleberson for example looked very good in the Copa America and I reckon he will be able to carry that form over. Darren Fletcher was improving all the time last season and will continue to do so this season. Cristano Ronaldo has had a great championships and we just know he'll cause premiership defences problems again this term. Also I think I'll list the world class players at Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea in my eyes. Man United = Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Mikael Silvestre, Rio Ferdinand, Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Why are these players world class you ask because they ave proven themselves at the top level. They've proven themselves in europe and like it or not rvn is a world class talent player. Every team wants a player like him in there because they know he will score goals. Ronaldo and Saha are on the brink now. Saha just needs to be picked more by France because he looked good when he did come on in the euros. Arsenal = Campbell, A. Cole, Henry, Vieria, Pires, Ljunberg (spelt wrong I know). Chelsea = Veron, Crespo, Lampard. Duff, Terry, Robben and Kezman all good players undoubtbly but haven't done enough to call them world class players. Maybe one day but the same can be said about Man Utds youngsters and Arsenals youngsters. So despite everyones claim that our squad is complete and utter crap it's still one of the best around and well we'll be challenging again this season just you see. Fergie wont be happy if he goes two seasons without the premier league title.
  15. Anyone know anything about Zilina and Dimano Bucharest?
  16. Game against Liverpool whenever that is sometime in September I think.
  17. All of you seem to be missing why the games been banned. The parents of the child that was killed want it banned. Who cares what you think about the whole thing. What does it matter if you think these parents were stupid enough to let their child have the game. Who the hell are you to say that Manhunt has nothing to do with the death of this child? The parents of the 17 year old have said they feel Manhunt was directly responsible for him killing a 14 year old boy. Now if I was that 14 year old boys parents I would want that game burnt and erased form the bloody planet as because of it they have lost their child. They'll never get him back. All due to a fucking stupid computer game. So the kid is thick and felt he could do what he had seen in the game. Why the fuck are computer games feeling the need to put in such high violence. They dont need it. Games like Zelda, Final Fantasy, Fifas they get huge sales and they dont show people graphically having their heads chopped off. Theres no need for it at all and well I totally think it should be banned. In respect for the kid more than anything else because his lifes been cut short now. I'm also pretty damn sure if your child had been murdered due to the guy playing a video game you would want it got rid of. And yes im well aware you would want revenge on the murderer.
  18. ALEX FERGUSON has been forced to fly his top stars to New York. The Manchester United boss acted swiftly to save the club’s reputation. United suffered enormous criticism after fielding a bunch of youngsters in the 0-0 draw with Bayern Munich in Chicago. They were booed by the 58,000 crowd and have had pressure put on them by tour organisers Champions World. Last night against Celtic in Philadelphia he brought in more recognised names like Tim Howard and the Neville brothers. Now he has buckled under pressure and will fly out top-name stars Ruud van Nistelrooy, Mikael Silvestre, Louis Saha and Paul Scholes for Saturday’s game against AC Milan in New York. Fergie had originally left them at home to rest after Euro 2004. He said: “I have had to do this reluctantly but we have suffered a lot of criticism because of the team we played against Bayern Munich. “We made a big impact in America last year on tour and we want to enhance that. “We will be bringing out Van Nistelrooy, Silvestre, Saha and Scholes for the game against AC Milan in New York. “I understand the public want to see the stars and we do not want them to feel as if we take that lightly. “I had left those players at home to give them a rest after Euro 2004 and others out here have had injuries, but I do not think the American public have appreciated that situation. “We have had to take this step now for the sake of our reputation in the States. “I understand that organisers Champions World have come under pressure. “Last year we captured a lot of people’s minds with our football and we do not now want them to think we take them for granted.” The players will have to undergo a 13-hour round trip for just one game — coming out on Friday and returning to England on Sunday. 19. Patty was the name leaked the other day.
  20. Rui Costa is a signing that could have some truth behind it as AC didn't use him much last year and I'm sure he wouldn't want another season like that. It also gives Man united some more time to let players like Kleberson and Fletcher mould into the first team properly.
  21. Havent heard of it in England yet.
  22. Manchester United midfielder Nicky Butt will join Newcastle, the Red Devils have confirmed. The 29-year-old England international has left the club's tour of the United States and is ready to discuss personal terms with Newcastle. The Red Devils' website said: "Nicky Butt has left the Manchester United tour of America. "Manchester United have agreed terms with Newcastle United, pending a medical and Nicky Butt's personal terms." Butt emerged from Manchester United's successful 1992 youth team alongside David Beckham, Paul Scholes and the Neville brothers to play nearly 400 matches for the club. He won six premier league winners' medals and was in the team that beat Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League final. Butt lost his place in the side last season following injury problems, however, falling behind Roy Keane, Scholes, Phil Neville and Eric Djemba-Djemba in the central midfield pecking order. An England regular at the 2002 World Cup, he was a member of his country's Euro 2004 squad but did not add to his 35 international caps after suffering a knee injury. Butt should fill the gap in Newcastle's squad left by the recent departure of experienced midfielder Gary Speed to Bolton Wanderers. source ntlworld.
  23. The Sun say smith was crap, skysports say he was good. Which one was he?! And I take it Fergie is holding back his main team till the vodafone trophy.
  24. Kluivert. Would have liked a few more top names to have come to the premiership like Rivaldo for example but oh well it will still be a great season.
  25. News of the World choosing to go with Sol Campbell possibly leaving as todays main item... ...SOL CAMPBELL is on the verge of sensationally following Patrick Vieira out of Arsenal to Real Madrid. The England defender is dismayed the Premiership champions want him to take a massive pay cut to stay and knows he is wanted by the Spanish giants and Juventus. The Gunners have already lost their fight to stop Vieira joining Real, despite manager Arsene Wenger holding crisis talks with his skipper in Austria yesterday. A Real insider confirmed: "Of course we would love Patrick to convince Sol to join us. "Everyone knows we had defensive problems last season REAL MADRID last night told Patrick Vieira they are prepared to wait until the January transfer window to land him. Madrid chief Jose Antonio Camacho still expects the Arsenal skipper to sign in a £30million move BEFORE the new season starts. But as Vieira joined Arsenal's European tour in Austria yesterday to hold crisis talks with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, Camacho insisted he would get his man — sooner or later. He declared: "I am prepared to wait until the very last day of the transfer window to sign the player I want. We will wait until the very end for a player that can really help the team. "I like to have small squads so that all my players feel part of the team. Ruthless "When Real Madrid want a player his team think they have found a gold mine. But in December other doors will open that will make things easier for us. "My club president Florentino Perez knows what we need and my point of view, and he is working on that. "We don't have stress or hurry. We have a squad of players that the whole world wants. We are a select World XI." Vieira, 28, privately told Wenger he wanted to leave two weeks ago and yesterday repeated his desire to leave in face-to-face talks in Austria. The Premiership champions hired a £1million private Lear jet to fly Vieira and fellow Euro 2004 stars Sol Campbell, Thierry Henry, Ashley Cole, Robert Pires and Freddie Ljungberg to Graz. The players were then ushered into a private Ford Transit van with blacked-out windows and taken to the team's exclusive Der Steirerhof Hotel ahead of last night's friendly against Austrian champions AK Grazer.has told Wenger he wants to leave. The Arsenal boss is still stubbornly refusing to let go of his beloved captain but this time it looks a lost cause. And if the Gunners dig in and refuse to sell now they could find Vieira's price tag has plummeted by December as the midfield ace would have only 18 months left on his contract by then. Ruthless Real president Perez has been chasing Vieira for three years but has been thwarted by the smooth-talking of Wenger and vice-president David Dein's stubborn refusal to sell. Dismal The pair were delighted when Vieira signed a new contract last summer. But the Frenchman has now decided to call time on his Highbury career. Real boss Camacho (right) added: "I am happy with the players I have but it would be much better to get players in. "This year everybody said Roberto Carlos was going to leave and so would Fernando Morientes but they stayed. And with new signing Walter Samuel we have three players that we didn't think we would." Vieira is seen in Madrid as the missing link that will catapult the Spanish giants to a 10th European Cup after the dismal end to their trophy-less season. He would play central midfield with David Beckham. And the England superstar said: "If a club wants to sign a player it is really the player who decides. "Vieira's an Arsenal player until he signs for another club. But if he leaves Arsenal I hope he comes to Madrid." Camacho admitted talks could not progress as Vieira was on holiday after Euro 2004. And, ominously for Gunners fans, he predicted Vieira's return for pre-season training should speed things up. Camacho (right) added: "There are players that have finished their season very late because of Euro 2004. They have been on holiday and when they return to work it will be different." Wenger is already looking for a replacement and Porto's Maniche is his No1 choice. His agent Paulo Barbosa said: "Arsenal have shown interest. I have spoken with their manager and he has shown a desire to reach agreement." Source News of the World. ------------------------------- Could be true if so Arsenal are looking just ever so slightly weaker without Campbell and Vieria. But no need to worry they could keep them to December..
