  1. I always thought he was Invincible
  2. Stoke or Hull is pretty much his level, he'd do well not to turn his nose up at them.
  3. Don't know if it's retro enough, but I've been playing a lot of Donkey Kong 64 recently. It's awesome.
  4. Almost as if Andy Gray knows naff all. Oh, wait.
  5. So the manager, the board and the accountant are recommending it, but they're voting no anyway? Why? What a joke way to run a football club. I feel sorry for the proper fans who have had their club ruined by this.
  6. 5pts: Aston Villa 4pts: Fulham, Everton, Hull 3pts: Sunderland, West Ham, Wigan, Burnley, Wolves 2pts: Man City, Portsmouth, Blackburn, Arsenal, Stoke 1pt: Man Utd, Bolton, Birmingham 0pts: Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool
  7. Yeah I suppose I'll follow York too for the purposes of this thread. Or maybe Gateshead.
  8. Marlon Harewood is always a goal machine on my games for some reason.
  9. They came off last season, we would have finished in the playoffs without the ten point deduction. >_< Darlo start away at Aldershot, which is rubbish because it's too far for me to be arsed to go. Rotherham away on Boxing Day should be alright. And Darlo vs Leeds in the Carling Cup is going to be on Sky, Monday 10th August.
  10. Nah the fair play trophy/achievement is just you not getting a card for 5 games, not the opposition as well. Have no idea why it hasn't unlocked for you.
  11. I have no idea what points we'll start on. I'm hoping 0 obviously, but even if we manage to get the CVA through without a hitch we still might be deducted 3 points for being in admin twice? I dunno, I don't really understand half the rules about administration and stuff. But even assuming we start on 0, I'd still be thrilled with 22nd place.
  12. Yeah that's a bit disappointing, it's not as if a friendly is entirely representative of your team or tactics for the season. Plus you'd have beaten us in both games anyway. Expectations for Darlo - At the moment I'll settle for starting the season with a squad. Oh and avoiding relegation has to be our target. Although the few signings we've got lined up so far are decent, so perhaps lower midtable could be a possibility.
  13. I don't either, can't really be bothered with them.
  14. Won our Away Player of the Year award I think, had a great season and will be a great signing for you, along with Liam Hatch who I see you've got on loan. White's banned for the first 3 games of next season after getting sent off after two minutes of our last home game. He's a great defender but he's hotheaded and easily wound up, expect to see him sent off 2 or 3 times over the course of the season. Seeing as we're talking about every frigger signing our players, we've signed Jeff Smith and Chris Lumsdon from Carlisle. I was wondering if IAceI (you follow Carlisle a bit, right?) knows whether they're any good?
  15. Injury prone, never rated him etc. etc. Nah he's a good player, too good for your shower.
  16. Was decent, think it was a mistake getting there 11:30am since I'm bloody knackered now. Saw a few good and a few not so good bands. Saw The Chapman Family since people rave about them, and they were shit. Saw The Qemists immediately afterwards and they were awesome. The Zutons were great too, I don't even like them that much on record but I really enjoyed them live.
  17. Dear me. To be expected from England though.
  18. Yeah that Villa kit is nice, on a par with this season's blue one which I love for some reason.
  19. Yeah but Bradford have a fanbase of over 10,000. What about teams with average gates of 2 or 3,000? Premiership clubs can give away season tickets for next to nothing because gate receipts make up such a small percentage of their income, but to a club like, say, Darlo, reducing ticket prices isn't really an option because it's where we get most of our income, and we don't have the fanbase to do one of the reduced price schemes like Bradford or Port Vale. And then practically on our doorstep you have Sunderland offering child season tickets for £19 or something daft like that, how on earth can we compete? It'll eventually become cheaper to watch a Premiership game than a League Two one, which should say it all about how ridiculous the financial situation in English football is.
