Affirmative Action

Ben Affleck and Will Smith will buddy up in the action-comedy "Affirmative Action" set in New Orleans. When a black soldier goes A.W.O.L. after committing a crime, a South Boston cop and a FBI agent who don't share the same racial views are teamed to find him. Affirmative Action was written by Jeffrey Abrams and is currently in development at Jerry Bruckheimer Films. Buena Vista will distribute the picture.

Wait, like a black cop... and a white cop.. teaming up against their will.

That might just be the most original idea evar.

Yes, but see, this one has 20% more racial tension than any other incarnation of the concept! Maybe. Possibly. I dunno.

Maybe it was just the wording of that 'press-release' or whatever, but that sounds/sounded like one of the worst plots for a movie, ever.

They are using a tried and true premise, with strong support in many areas of the film with guys like Smith and Bruckheimer on board. Look at Armageddon for examples of this. Should he be able to wield the "Affleck Touch" on this one, this will speak greatly about his talent...and I use greatly to denote volume, not quality.

Well you're starting behind the 8-ball when you've got Ben Affleck signed on for a move :P Will Smith is tolerable/good (most of the time), but outside of Dogma, im not really a fan of anything Affleck has done, in terms of his actual acting in a movie.
