Can't get Gamebiz to work, as it crashes my computer. I keep getting error messages saying something like "the canvas does not allow drawing".

While not known as freeware, abandonware is pretty much the same thing. Go here for masses of free abandonware resources: http://www.abandonia.com/index2.php

My favourite game I downloaded was Civ2 Gold. There are still websites that host downloads for it. There's plenty of other great games there too.

i know most people on here know about this but just incase some of you dont and since its not posted you can go to www.download.com they have lots of games there freeware and shareware (cost money) and also programs...

I play it and every now and again it just crashes and shuts down, something about "MEM_POINT_BAD" or something?

I havn't had any problem with that, although I will and can say it's a very pissy game to play at times.
