Ultimate Challenge Cup

December 11th 2004

Guthrie Centre, Iowa

SWEW are proud to present the first annual Ultimate Challenge Cup. Ten SWEW superstars will be joined by international stars CM Punk and the American Dragon Bryan Danielson. These twelve men will be looking to show they are one of the best in the world as they attempt to go through three rounds of gruelling combat to win the Ultimate Challenge Cup. The first round will see wrestlers in groups of three in SWEW Triple Chance matches. The four winners will then compete in two semi final matches in straight singles action and the two winners of that will progress to the final where they will compete in a 15ft steel cage to become the winner of the Ultimate Challenge Cup. We will also see the final meeting between Kid Kash and Low-Ki as the two rivals fight in a match to see who will remain in SWEW in a loser leaves SWEW match.

Ultimate Challenge Cup – Round 1 – SWEW Triple Chance Match

1) Alex Shelley vs. American Dragon vs. Matt Sydal (w/Daizee Haze)

Bryan Danielson will be coming to SWEW with winning the Ultimate Challenge Cup his only thought as he looks to make his list of achievements even bigger. Alex Shelley will be looking to win the SWEW Triple Chance Match after narrowly losing against AJ Styles and Trent Acid at Revenge in North Dakota. Shelley has also phoned SWEW offices to tell Jimmy Jacobs he is coming after his title after he wins the Ultimate Challenge Cup where he establishes himself and Majestic as number one in SWEW. Matt Sydal will just be looking to make a good showing after some bad results in recent SWEW events.

2) Jimmy Jacobs vs. Samoa Joe vs. Super Dragon

SWEW Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Jacobs will look to show everyone he is still the man to beat in SWEW by winning the Ultimate Challenge Cup. However in his path stands the man who beat him at the last show Super Dragon and long term rival Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe is looking to prove the Crew is the number one faction in SWEW and holding the Ultimate Challenge Cup and the SWEW Tag Team titles which the Havana Pitbulls do. Joe is also looking to get back in the SWEW Heavyweight Title picture and a win will give him a SWEW Triple Chance place. Super Dragon has been told by Alex Shelley to repeat what he did at the last show and brutally attack Jacobs all match long.

3) AJ Styles vs. Austin Aries vs. Jack Evans

AJ Styles is currently the only holder of a SWEW Triple Chance and could become the first man to hold two at the same time if he can defeat Austin Aries and Jack Evans in the first round. While it is unclear if AJ Styles is focusing on the tag or singles division in SWEW he will be looking to win the Ultimate Challenge Cup but Austin Aries is a man full of potential and has already nearly become SWEW Heavyweight Champion once before while Jack Evans who had a great series of matches with Aries earlier on in his SWEW career including the famous ladder match will be looking for the Ultimate Challenge Cup to skyrocket his career to the very top.

4) CM Punk vs. Spanky vs. Trent Acid

The Straight Edge revolution is coming to SWEW as CM Punk joins us for the Ultimate Challenge Cup. CM Punk is coming to show everyone that he is better than you by coming to SWEW and winning a tournament on his debut. However Trent Acid has been given a mission by Samoa Joe to get to the finals so it can be an all Crew final while Spanky has been in impressive form recently scoring a big pinfall at the last show. Acid will also be looking to score a win in the first round so he can get another title shot at Jimmy Jacobs.

6) 3 vs. 4

Loser Leaves SWEW

Kid Kash vs. Low-Ki

An epic tale between Kid Kash and Low-Ki has developed since the very first SWEW way back in July. To guarantee a place on the SWEW roster Kid Kash promised he would bring a top quality ninja to SWEW. Low-Ki was revealed to be this ninja and Low-Ki immediately turned on Kash refusing to listen to his demands. Kash retaliated by throwing milkshake all over Low-Kis car infuriating him. Over the next few shows Kid Kash and Danny Daniels had a fake ‘feud’ while Low-Ki was mysteriously attacked backstage at Presents A Party. On the next show Kid Kash and Low-Ki fought one on one only for Danny Daniels to reveal he is on Kid Kashs side as Kid Kash defeated Low-Ki.  In tag matches Kid Kash and Danny Daniels were on the losing side twice to Low-Ki and his partner but was attacked brutally after both. In a singles match at From Across The Border Low-Ki defeated Danny Daniels before been attacked by Kash again and at the last show Low-Ki met Kid Kash in a singles match where he defeated him only to be attacked by Kash and Daniels once again. Kid Kash challenge Low-Ki to a loser leaves SWEW match and Low-Ki has signed up. Danny Daniels has been banned from ringside and if he comes down to ringside, Kid Kash will be Dq’ed and he will have to leave forever. Kash is still very confident however where it all comes to an end once and for all.

6 Man Warfare

Chris Ca$h vs. Delirious vs. Joel Maximo vs. Jose Maximo vs. Ricky Reyes vs. Rocky Romero

The SWEW Tag Team Champions the Havana Pitbulls will compete in a 6 man warfare match along with the SAT, Delirious and Chris Ca$h. With no tags to be made we can see if the two teams will work together as the SAT and Pitbulls feud is starting to get hot while two of SWEW two hottest young stars Chris Ca$h and Delirious look to score a big win for themselves.

Tickets are still available on the door for the party at $15 or through www.swew.com. We are at the Guthrie Centre in Iowa as we present the first ever Ultimate Challenge Cup. The Ultimate Challenge Cup includes AJ Styles, CM Punk, American Dragon, SWEW Heavyweight Champion plus many more as 12 men look to show they are one of the best in the US. Kid Kash and Low-Ki have there final battle in a loser leaves SWEW match which promises to be an epic encounter.

PRESHOW

Jimmy Jacobs is backstage with Becky. Jacobs says his 6 months reign as SWEW Heavyweight Champion should prove to people he isn’t a joke anymore and he will prove it tonight by winning the Ultimate Challenge Cup. Jacobs promises revenge on Alex Shelley and the rest of Majestic in the coming months and says they will have to give everything if they are going to take the SWEW Heavyweight Title away from them.

Styles Ca$h are backstage. Ca$h is asking AJ what belt he is going to go for but he isn’t sure yet. AJ tells Ca$h to forget about it and concentrate on his 6 man match tonight as he only has the Ultimate Challenge Cup in his mind for tonight.

SHOW

Ultimate Challenge Cup – Round 1 – SWEW Triple Chance Match

Alex Shelley d. American Dragon & Matt Sydal (w/Daizee Haze)

Huge Dragon, Dragon, Dragon chants ran through the arena as a record crowd of just under 2500 welcomed American Dragon, Bryan Danielson to the ring and to SWEW. Sydal was out next followed by Daizee Haze then Alex Shelley came last and seemed really intense as he squared up to Dragon in the ring. The first ever Ultimate Challenge Cup got off to a great start as some great interactions between Shelley and Danielson left the fans begging for more as Shelley and Danielson tried to one up each other all match with a variety of submissions while fending off the advances of the wildcard Sydal. Alex Shelley was able to be the first man to qualify for the semi-finals when Sydal hit his Shooting Star Press on Danielson he looked like he would pick up a shock upset victory. However Shelley stopped the pin by kicked Sydal hard in the head and then locked on the Border City Stretch on Danielson who had nowhere to go and Danielson tapped out in a near 20 minute great opener. Shelley left while Sydal and Danielson shook hands and chants of Please Come Back to Dragon rang round the ring as Danielson headed to the back.

Result - Alex Shelley wins

***3/4 (18:45)

Ultimate Challenge Cup – Round 1 – SWEW Triple Chance Match

AJ Styles d. Austin Aries & Jack Evans

All three men got a nice reaction as they came out with Styles been the most popular of the threesome, some small boos for Aries but no huge heat as the match got underway. Evans teased a few dives to the outside onto Aries during the first few minutes as a lot of the action was on the outside in a frantic opening. When Styles hit a hurricanrana on Aries, Evans quickly tried to steal a pin but it was not to be as Aries kicked out. Aries came closest to a win before the end when he blocked a second hurricanrana from Styles and drove him to the mat with a powerbomb and covered but Evans flew off the top rope with a dropkick to break it up. The finish came when AJ Styles caught Jack Evans who had attempted a reverse rana but AJ span him around and delivered a Styles Clash for the three count while Aries was on the outside.

Result - AJ Styles wins

Ultimate Challenge Cup – Round 1 – SWEW Triple Chance Match

Jimmy Jacobs (w/Becky Bayless) d. Samoa Joe & Super Dragon

HUSS was heard round the building as SWEW Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Jacobs entered the ring along with Becky Bayless in this non title match up. It was also a potential meeting for Majestic vs. The Crew but Super Dragon only had one through on his mind which was to follow on from his previous victory over Jacobs at the last show and continue beating him down. Joe and Dragon worked together on hammering on Jacobs in the early going but Joe turned on Dragon and went for a choke on him when he wasn’t looking but Dragon wriggled out of it and slapped Joe hard in the head. The match broke into chaos then as Jacobs recovered as Samoa Joe and Super Dragon hammered away at each other hard. SWEW Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Jacobs was able to advance to the next round when once again he managed to pin Samoa Joe. This time with the Suicide Solution as Jacobs came crashing down to the mat driving Joe to the ground. Dragon was unable to stop the cover as he had been hit with a superkick by Samoa Joe and was on the mat. Jacobs had set up a first time meeting in the semi-finals in SWEW against Alex Shelley. Samoa Joe was real mad at been beaten by Jacobs for the umpteenth time.

Result - Jimmy Jacobs wins

Ultimate Challenge Cup – Round 1 – SWEW Triple Chance Match

CM Punk d. Spanky & Trent Acid

As Spanky and Trent Acid waited in the ring, the lights went out and CM Punks music hit as the fans went wild as the straight edge revolution finally came to SWEW. The winner of this would face AJ Styles in the semi finals so all the men knew they would have to be fresh if they were to be able to beat AJ. In the best match of the first round, all three men came close to picking up the victory but it was CM Punk on his SWEW debut who did when he blocked Spankys attempt to hit a hurricanrana off the top rope and instead hit the Pepsi Plunge on Spanky to pick up the win.

Result - CM Punk wins

**** (11:35)

Once CM Punk had made his way to the back after a bit of celebrating Don Callis came out to confirm that the semi-finals would be AJ Styles vs. CM Punk and Alex Shelley vs. Jimmy Jacobs in two singles matches where the winners will go into the final in a steel cage where they will compete for the Ultimate Challenge Cup. Callis also confirms the current holders of a SWEW Triple Chance are AJ Styles whom has two, Alex Shelley, CM Punk and Jimmy Jacobs.

6 Man Warfare

Jose Maximo d. Chris Ca$h & Delirious & Joel Maximo & Ricky Reyes & Rocky Romero

In what turned out to be a weird tag match the SAT got the advantage over the SWEW Tag Team Champions as Jose Maximo was able to get a pinfall over Ricky Reyes as the SAT hit the Spanish Fly on Reyes to pick up the pinfall. With no tags been made and the crowd burned out with multiman matches after the three triple threats which had taken place in the Ultimate Challenge Cup already do far. The SAT and Havana Pitbulls both worked as teams while Delirious and Ca$h worked alone in a dynamic that never got going really. Ca$h came close to a pin over Joel Maximo after a moonsault and Delirious took out all five men on the outside with a tope. However it was Jose Maximo who had picked up the win, but the Havana Pitbulls had the last laugh as they attacked the SAT as they celebrated in the ring after the match.

Result - Jose Maximo wins

**1/2 (14:52)

Ultimate Challenge Cup - Semi-Final – Singles Match

AJ Styles vs. CM Punk

Both men got good reactions as they came down to the ring as two of the biggest names in the US independents prepared to battle for a place in the first ever Ultimate Challenge Cup final.

After some basic mat wrestling CM Punk used a fireman's carry to take down AJ Styles and kept him on the mat hooking his elbow between his legs but AJ elbowed out and rolled to his feet as we had an indy stand off. After a leap frog, Punk hit Styles with an arm drag as he came off the ropes and CM Punk hit a second sharp arm drag on AJ Styles and applied a hammerlock on a grounded Styles, then drove knees into the back of his arm, softening it up. AJ Styles had his knee driven into the mat by Punk, and Styles clutched at his knee. As Styles slowly got up, Punk hit a superkick to Styles and covered for a two count.

Punk came off the ropes with a charge, but Styles blocked it and threw him over the top rope. Styles waited for Punk to got up and hit a running somersault plancha to the outside as both men crashed to the floor. Both men slowly brawled on the outside but Styles got the upper hand and threw Punk into the guardrail. Styles tried again but Punk reversed it and Styles crashed into the railings hard. Punk rolled Styles into the ring and climbed to the top rope and went for a knee drop from the top and hit it and covered but only got 2. CM Punk looked to hurt AJs injured knee by locking in a figure four leglock. Punk locked it in the centre of the ring. Styles tried to turn it round but Punk hammered Styles in the chest and he was able to move further away from the ropes. Out of desperation, Styles tried to grab Punks hair but Punk moved away from Styles. Styles was finally able to get to the ropes after a few teasings of him tapping out. Styles was clutching his knee as Punk hit the ropes and hit a big Shining Wizard

Punk arm wrenched AJ Styles then stood on the back of his knee pilling the pressure to the injured spot. AJ Styles reversed with a wrist lock and flipped Punk over. Styles went for it again but his leg gave way when he lifted Punk up and he taken to the mat when Punk checked his leg. Punk set up for a second shining wizard but Styles caught Punks legs and attempted a Styles Clash but Punk hurricanranaed out of it, but Styles quickly got up and hit a huge discus lariat on Punk

We cut to the back where we see the Crew leaving and they do not look pleased after losing three out of three matches tonight.

Ultimate Challenge Cup - Semi-Final – Singles Match

Alex Shelley d. Jimmy Jacobs (w/Becky Bayless)

The first meeting between Alex Shelley and Jimmy Jacobs in SWEW proved that Alex Shelley was just as good as SWEW Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Jacobs as Shelley got a clean victory over Jacobs as he goes on to face AJ Styles inside a steel cage to compete for the Ultimate Challenge Cup. Fifteen minute back and forth action finally ended when Jacobs went for the Suicide Solution, Alex Shelley planted Jacobs on the top rope and into the tree of woe. Stiff kicks to the unprotected head of Jacobs busted open his nose and when Jacobs fell to the mat Shelley dragged Jacobs to the middle of the ring and Shelley made the SWEW Heavyweight Champion tap out to the Border City Stretch. Alex Shelley laughed in the ring as the rest of Majestic Delirious and Super Dragon came to the ring and attacked Jimmy Jacobs as Becky pleaded for Alex to stop. Shelley shoved Becky down as Super Dragon set Jacobs up on a table and Delirious hit the Crazy Drop off the top rope crushing the blooded Jacobs through the table. With Shelley holding a SWEW Triple Chance and having just beating Jacobs clean a Shelley / Jacobs title match must be on the horizons.

Result - Alex Shelley wins

Loser Leaves SWEW

Kid Kash vs. Low-Ki

One of the most important matches in history was about to take place as Kid Kash came to the ring without Danny Daniels who is banned from ringside. Low-Ki came down looking very intense as the two men were about to battle for there future in SWEW.

Low-Ki stared out fast and Kid Kash got knocked down with a running forearm from Low-Ki and got up only to walk into a big chop from Low-Ki. A tight arm bar from Low-Ki kept Kash grounded. Kash got into the match with a rake to the eyes and he went for a quick rollup but only got one. Low-Ki looked disgusted and hit Kash with some Mongolian chops until Kash bailed the ring holding his shoulder.

Kid Kash got back into the ring and raked Low-Kis eyes and Kid Kash used a sleeper hold to weaken Low-Ki. An arm breaker from Kid Kash hurt Low-Ki as Kash looked to take advantage of the match. Three right hands from Kid Kash sent Low-Ki down. And Kash covered and got a two. After ducking a clothesline from Low-Ki, Kid Kash bounced off the ropes and came back with a lightning kick and gave a little whooo before coving for the two. Kash threw Low-Ki to the outside and hit Low-Ki with a plancha as he got up.

Kash threw Low-Ki into the ring post twice before rolling him into the ring and Kash covered but got a 2 again. Low-Ki tried a hip toss, but Kid Kash countered with a Tornado DDT off the ropes with Kash showing stuff we haven’t seen from him in years that was almost enough for a three count. Kash looked annoyed that it was taking so long to put Low-Ki away and he signalled to go for a moonsault but he was to slow with it and Ki moved out of the way. With Kid Kash down on the mat, Low-Ki sprung to life and climbed the ropes and hit a falling headbutt to the back of Kashs head and both men were down. Low-Ki was up first and measured Kid Kash with a spin kick. Low-Ki backed Kid Kash into the turnbuckles and unloaded with chops and kicks but Kash went low with a kick and Low-Ki bent over and Kid Kash used a leaping piledriver on Low-Ki who landed on the top of his head

Low-Ki just kicked out. A boot to the gut set Low-Ki up for Kid Kash to hit a Falcon Arrow. Kid Kash used a running forearm to floor a groggy Low-Ki. Kid Kash hit a flying lariat off the top turnbuckle on Low-Ki. Kash covered

Low-Ki kicked out. Kash aimed to whip Low-Ki into the corner but Low-Ki reversed and Kash reversed again and sent Low-Ki crashing into referee Paul Turner. Kash saw this as his opportunity and picked up a steel chair. He waited for Low-Ki to get up and he went for the smash mouth but Low-Ki caught the chair and smashed it over the head of Kash and threw the chair out of the ring. Kash stumbled round the ring until Low-Ki picked him up and drove him down to the mat with the Ki-Krusher. The referee slowly got up and covered Kid Kash

Low-Ki pinned Kid Kash and Kid Kash has to leave SWEW forever. Low-Ki left the ring as Kash was still knocked out int the ring. Chants of Low-Ki rang round the arena as he lives to fight another day.

Result - Low-Ki wins

(17:54) ***3/4

The fans are doing the nah nah nah song to Kash who picks up the mic and calls all the SWEW pieces of crap and he says he’s glad he lost so he never has to wrestle in a piece of crap place like this again. People throw garbage at Kash as he leaves the ring.

Don Callis comes out as the Steel Cage is been set up. He says both Alex Shelley and AJ Styles have been through three men tonight so far and will now go one on one for the Ultimate Challenge Cup trophy which he shows off to the crowd. He then talks about the awards show to take place on December 16th. Awards such as Match of the Year, Wrestler of the Year, Show of the Year and others will be awarded plus one huge and only match will take place as SWEW Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Jacobs will team up with AJ Styles, Spanky and Low-Ki to take on Alex Shelley, Samoa Joe, Super Dragon and Trent Acid in a eight man elimination match where the surviving winners of the match will be allowed to book any match involving any wrestler in SWEW they want. Don Callis also awards the SAT with a tag title shot against the Havana Pitbulls on the first night of the Mayhem in Minnesota Double Shot for there victory earlier tonight and that more matches will be announced before the awards ceremony on December 16th for the Minnesota double shot weekend. As Callis had just finished talking the cage had finished been set up and Callis told the fans to look forward to the main event to crown the first ever Ultimate Challenge Cup winner.

Ultimate Challenge Cup - Final – Steel Cage Match

AJ Styles vs. Alex Shelley

The steel cage is about 15ft high fully steel but with small platforms on the corners for support. AJ Styles was first down and was firmly the fans favourite as Alex Shelley came down to the ring alone. Shelley and Styles stared at each other as Styles looked to get a pinfall over Shelley for the second consecutive show. The door was wired shut and the announcer reminded the fans the only way to win was by submission or pinfall. Shelley gave Styles a cheap shot as the match got underway.

Shelley rammed Styles head into the cage but AJ Styles came back and unloaded with knife-edge chops on Shelley and rammed Shelley’s head into the cage. Styles put Shelley down with a big spin kick. After ducking a clothesline, Styles used a deep arm drag on Shelley. Styles then bounced off the ropes and came over the top of Shelley and hit his inverted DDT on Shelley and covered for two. Styles climbed to the top rope but Shelley was up quicker then Styles thought and Shelley joined him on the top rope. They took turns of ramming each others head into the cage but Styles on his third attempt was able to send Shelley crashing to the mat. Styles using the cage for balance moved to the middle ropes and hit a 450 splash on Shelley

1

2

NO

Shelley kicked out. An arm twist by Styles was followed by three arm wrenches in a row to weaken Shelley but Shelley who obviously saw the earlier CM Punk match, chopped the back of Styles knee with his free hand and Styles fell to the mat. Shelley stamped on the back of Styles knee a few times before lifting Styles up and placing his knee between the top rope and the cage. Shelley climbed the top rope and started stamping on Shelley’s knee. Shelley then locked in a modified figure four leglock on the top rope with Styles hanging down as the crowd ate this up. Styles managed to pull himself up the ropes however and managed to flip Shelley back onto the mat. Shelley covered Styles but got two.

After slipping behind, Styles hit Alex Shelley with rolling german suplexes and covered but got two. Alex Shelley set AJ Styles up on the top rope and tried for a superplex but Styles blocked him with some punches, Shelley then went for a hurricanrana but Styles caught his legs and teased a Styles Clash off the top rope but Shelley held onto the ropes and lifted himself back up. Styles shoved Shelley off the top rope and Shelley crashed to the mat. Styles looked up and climbed to the top of the cage. The crowd were on there feet as AJ Styles measured Alex Shelley up and flew from 15ft in the air with a Spiral Tap and MISSES as Shelley rolled out of the way. Alex Shelley put one hand over Styles

1

NO

Styles somehow kicks out after falling 15ft from the top of the cage. Shelley is first up as Styles is dead. Shelley picks up Styles and starts chopping him and he falls to the ground. He does it twice more and covers but gets two. Shelley picks Styles up again and tries to slap him but Styles gets a rush of blood and unloads with chops and kicks to Shelley. AJ Styles used a running forearm to floor a groggy Shelley. Shelley got up and AJ Styles hammered him with a discus lariat

1

2

NO

Shelley kicked out. Styles slowly climbed to the top rope and nailed Shelley with a flying bulldog off the top rope. Shelley is groggy and AJ goes for the Styles Clash but AJ collapse to the floor clutching his knee. Alex Shelley locks in a figure-four leglock on Styles. Styles screams in pain as he claws his way to the ropes, he almost gets there but Shelley moves back into the centre of the ring. AJ Styles has no other option but to tap and give Alex Shelley the first Ultimate Challenge Cup.

Result - Alex Shelley wins the Ultimate Challenge Cup

(18:34) ****

As backstage people come down and help AJ Styles to the back Delirious and Super Dragon come down to the ring. They take the Ultimate Challenge Cup trophy and a mic from Don Callis who they push out of the ring and they lock the door leaving just Majestic in the ring. Alex Shelley places the Ultimate Challenge Cup trophy in the centre of the ring as Delirious and Super Dragon walk around him as Shelley takes the mic. He says that Majestic own the ring, Majestic own SWEW and on the second night of Mayhem in Minnesota he will take the SWEW Heavyweight Championship away from Jimmy Jacobs has he has traded his SWEW Triple Chance for the match earlier in the night. Shelley tells Jacobs he is unstoppable and his title reign is coming to an end soon as the tape fades to black.

Awesome show RSL, I liked it, I really enjoyed the CM Punk vs. AJ Styles match and the finals between Shelley and Styles in the Cage.

Since Punk won a Triple Chance Match we get to see him again in SWEW, any chance AmDrag will be coming back as well?

I can't wait for the Shelley-Jacobs title match, this feud has been built up really well, and like Hajjhowe, I agree that there's no way Shelley CAN'T win the SWEW title.

It's too bad to see Kid Kash go as he was a riot he always made me laugh. I'm still laughing about that damn milkshake

Keep up the great work RSL

SWEW NEWS

Mayhem in Minnesota – Cards Released

AJ Styles has cashed in both of his SWEW Triple Chance places as he looks to become the first double champion in SWEW history. On January 8th AJ Styles will take on Jimmy Jacobs his team-mate at the Awards Evening as they will battle for the SWEW Heavyweight Championship. On the second night of Mayhem in Minnesota he will team up with partner Chris Ca$h as Styles Ca$h will take on the Havana Pitbulls for the SWEW Tag Team Championship.

If on night one in Mayhem in Minnesota AJ Styles captures the SWEW Heavyweight Championship from Jimmy Jacobs, Alex Shelley will receive his SWEW Triple Chance back and face Jimmy Jacobs in one on one action. Also if the SAT capture the SWEW Tag Team Championship on night one Styles Ca$h will then face the SAT for the SWEW Tag Team Championship and the Havana Pitbulls will face the SATs scheduled opponents of the first two graduates of the SWEW Training Camp Ray Stevens and Alex Lovell who form the team of Wasted Talent.

Stevens and Lovell who have been trained by SWEW at the SWEW Training Camp by head trainer SWEW superstar Alex Shelley are very exited on making the move up to the full SWEW roster and will be looking to impressive. Ray Stevens is a 22 year old technical wrestler in the mould of trainer Alex Shelley and he even uses Shelley’s Border City Stretch as a finisher. Stevens from Minnesota will be looking to make an impact in his home town by picking up an early win. His partner Alex Lovell is just 18 years old from New York City but Alex Shelley has said this high flyer has all the talent needed to get to the top in the business. Using an amazing 450 moonsault to finish off opponents Wasted Talent will be looking to make there mark on there debut on the second night of Mayhem in Minnesota in January 9th.

Speaking of Alex Shelley he is furious that AJ Styles has a title shot against Jimmy Jacobs before him and that his win at the Ultimate Challenge Cup should have allowed no one else but him to have a shot against Jimmy Jacobs. Alex Shelley is not scheduled to have a match on the first night of Mayhem in Minnesota as he wants to rest up for his match against Jacobs. Shelley has warned Styles that if he beats Jacobs for the SWEW Heavyweight Championship then Majestic are going to come down on a top of bricks on AJ Styles and his partner Chris Ca$h.

More exiting news has reached SWEW as the controversial Teddy Hart has signed up for the Mayhem in Minnesota weekend. On night one he will team with his good friend Jack Evans as he takes on Majestic of Delirious and Super Dragon in what promises to be a great hard forth match. Then on night two a huge SWEW Triple Chance Match has been signed as Teddy Hart will be joined by Low-Ki and Samoa Joe as all three men look to score a big victory. Low-Ki has stated that now Kid Kash is out of the way he is looking to restore order in SWEW and his first target is the Crew. He will face Trent Acid on the first night of Mayhem in Minnesota where Samoa Joe will hope Acid can put a dent into Low-Ki before the SWEW Triple Chance match on night two.

Joker has phoned up the SWEW offices and has told SWEW commissioner Don Callis that Joker will never wrestler in SWEW again. However John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts the baddest Rastafarian on the planet will be there. On night one Roberts will face Jimmy Rave then on night two Matt Sydal and Robert has claimed that going back to his Rastafarian roots will inspire him to take his game to the next level.

Austin Aries will also have a busy weekend as on night one he will face Matt Sydal then on the second night he faces one of his biggest challenges yet as he goes one on one with Spanky. Aries is looking to show he is one of the best in America and with two victories over the weekend another SWEW Championship match will surely not be far away. Danny Daniels now without Kid Kash has one last chance to compete in SWEW as on the second night he takes on a mystery opponent that will not be known until Daniels is in the ring.

Tickets for both nights in Minnesota debut from the Skybox Arena are $15 each and with two huge nights we hope you can be there. A full preview for the Mayhem in Minnesota card will be up after the Awards Evening with the Awards Evening preview coming in the next few days.

Eight Man Elimination Tag Match

AJ Styles, Jimmy Jacobs, Low-Ki & Spanky vs. Alex Shelley, Samoa Joe, Super Dragon & Trent Acid

Perhaps the eight people who have made the biggest impact on SWEW in it’s first six months will all come together in the ring for a huge eight man elimination tag match where the surviving members of the winning team are allowed to make any match they want on any show involving any member of the SWEW roster and it does not have to include there selves. Anything could happen with these kind of rules and it’s not worth thinking of what matches could be made. There are many issues between these eight men which we will state here in this very preview right now:

AJ Styles & Jimmy Jacobs – These two have to team up on December 26th but on January 8th on the first night of the Mayhem in Minnesota AJ Styles will face Jimmy Jacobs for the SWEW Heavyweight Championship. How can these two men team together when they will be fighting for the biggest prize in SWEW in two weeks time?

AJ Styles & Alex Shelley – Alex Shelley defeated AJ Styles in the Ultimate Challenge Cup final and has a mental advantage over AJ Styles. However Shelley is furious that AJ Styles will receive a SWEW Heavyweight Championship before him and if Styles beats Jacobs on night 1 of Mayhem in Minnesota, Shelley will not receive a title shot against Jacobs on night 2. Shelley has called SWEW office and stated that there is no way he won’t be the one to dethrone Jacobs to become SWEW Heavyweight Champion.

AJ Styles & Trent Acid – Ever since AJ Styles came to SWEW he and Trent Acid have tried to one up each other. AJ Styles and Trent Acid have let to meet in a one on one matchup in SWEW but they would love to get the winning pinfall over each other after both getting wins on one and other in tag matches.

Jimmy Jacobs & Alex Shelley – The Shelley and Jacobs rivalry has been coming to a head since the first SWEW show where they ironically came in as a tag team. At the Ultimate Challenge Cup to duo finally met in one on one action and Alex Shelley defeated Jimmy Jacobs and now has a chance to take Jacobs title on January 9th. Jacobs has been left brutally destroyed several times by Shelleys Majestic team of himself Delirious and Super Dragon and Jacobs will be looking for revenge.

Jimmy Jacobs & Samoa Joe – The first five shows of SWEW saw Samoa Joe desperately trying to take the SWEW Heavyweight Championship away from Jacobs but he was unable to get the job done in some brutal matches between the duo. However Joe has led his Crew of Trent Acid and the SWEW Tag Team Champions the Havana Pitbulls to success in SWEW and Joe is now ready to soon challenge for the title again.

Jimmy Jacobs & Super Dragon – Super Dragon has been a key player for Alex Shelley who has used Dragon to attack Jacobs numerous times and Super Dragon has a win over Jacobs in a hardcore match. Jacobs will also be looking for revenge over Super Dragon in this match.

Alex Shelley & Low-Ki – This duo teamed in the SWEW Tag Team Tournament and got to the final only to lose. Shelley blamed the loss on Low-Ki and refused to shake Low-Kis hand. Low-Ki now wants to rid SWEW of The Crew and Majestic who want to control SWEW but Low-Ki has targeted the leader of Majestic as a man he needs to take out.

Low-Ki & Samoa Joe – Low-Ki has promised to take out Samoa Joes Crew as his next task, but Samoa Joe will want to show Low-Ki that it will take more than talking to get the job done.

Low-Ki & Trent Acid – These two men will meet on January 8th at Mayhem in Minnesota and as a key member of the Crew Low-Ki will want to take out Acid in this match. However Acid wants it to be known he is no pushover and hopes winning this and then a match against AJ Styles in the future will place him high in the SWEW rankings.

Spanky doesn’t have any heat with anyone because he is so cool. Tickets to get to the awards evening at the Guthrie Centre in Iowa are only $5 for the hour show and it promises to be a great one as awards are handed out and battles happen.

Well, I just read this whole thing in one sitting, and I must say I am VERY impressed.

Your characters are great...and you have built incredible anticipation of wanting to see Jimmy Jacobs lose the belt.

Awards Evening

26/12/2004

Guthrie Center, Iowa

Attendance: 2507

Home Release Version

Commentator: Don Callis & Eric Garguilo

Owner and commissioner of SWEW Don Callis is standing in the ring with over 2500 fans chanting SWEW. Callis thanks the fans for coming and supporting SWEW in there first six months. Callis thanks all the people possible for keeping SWEW going, the fans, supporters, the wrestlers and hope it will keep them going so they can hold an Awards Evening next year. The fans applauded as Don Callis begins the awards by handing out the Team of the Year award. In 3rd place was the team of Alex Shelley and Low-Ki who despite never teaming before got to the final of the SWEW Tag Team Tournament. In 2nd place the team of AJ Styles and Chris Ca$h, Styles Ca$h. This young team will have there second shot at the titles against the Havana Pitbulls on the second night of Mayhem in Minnesota. In 1st place with no surprise the only tag team in SWEW to hold the SWEW Tag Team titles Ricky Reyes and Rocky Romero, the Havana Pitbulls.

All of The Crew comes down the aisle to accept the award. The actual winners of the award stayed pretty quiet as Samoa Joe rants on how the Crew will go on into 2005 and control SWEW for years to come and says he is not scared of Majestic saying they will take over as they lead in the numbers game four to three members. Trent Acid just sits back as Romero thanks the fans for voting for them as the Crew walk to the back.

Don Callis congratulates the Havana Pitbulls once again and then starts to talk about the Show of the Year. Callis says there have been nine great SWEW this year with each show offering something different to the fans. In 3rd place is Revenge in North Dakota where we saw a great Alex Shelley, Trent Acid and AJ Styles SWEW Triple Chance match and an appearance from Juventud Guerrera. In 2nd place the Ultimate Challenge Cup where we saw the SWEW debuts of American Dragon and CM Punk plus Alex Shelley going through four men to win the Ultimate Challenge Cup. In 1st place was the 4th Show Spectacular where we saw the great Ladder Match between Jack Evans and Austin Aries and the awesome eight man tag featuring AJ Styles, Alex Shelley, Jimmy Jacobs and Spanky taking on the Crew.

Don Callis now goes on to award the match of the year in which any number of matches had a chance to win. In 3rd place it goes to the match at Jacobs vs. Joe II as Super Dragon made a huge name for himself in SWEW as he defeated Spanky to shoot up the rankings in SWEW. In 2nd was the eight man tag from the 4th Show Spectacular where The Crew defeated AJ Styles, Jimmy Jacobs, Alex Shelley and Spanky in a classic match. In 1st place was the only steel cage match in SWEW as Alex Shelley defeated AJ Styles in the finals of the Ultimate Challenge Cup to take the trophy home. Callis invites AJ Styles out first then Alex Shelley.

Alex Shelley had come down with the Ultimate Challenge Cup trophy and placed it next to Styles in an attempt to wind him up but AJ ignored it. AJ Styles thanks the fans for voting for the match until Alex Shelley rips the microphone from AJs hand. He says he won the match so he should get the match of the year award to himself as he carried AJ to it as well. Shelley also has a bone to pick with Styles over Styles challenging Jacobs for the SWEW Heavyweight Championship on the first night on Mayhem in Minnesota. Shelley tells AJ that if he doesn’t receive his title shot against Jacobs on night two there will be hell to pay for AJ and Majestic will come down on him like a ton of bricks. AJ snatches the mic off Shelley and says he’s beat him at Revenge in North Dakota and if he beats Jacobs for the title he will be more than happy to give Shelley the first shot at the title afterwards. The duo then get in each others faces and Shelley faints to hit Styles but Shelley gives Styles the finger and leaves the ring with his Ultimate Challenge Cup trophy as Styles gets clapped by the fans for a bit then goes to the back.

Don Callis thanks AJ and Alex again and now talks about the most important award the wrestler of the year award. In 3rd place the award goes to Low-Ki. He has thought off Kid Kash from SWEW and has had great matches with Spanky and Samoa Joe in 2004. In 2nd place it goes to Samoa Joe who has led the Crew to win title in SWEW and himself coming close to winning the SWEW on several occasions. In 1st place there could only be one winner. He has carried the SWEW Heavyweight Championship since day one and has been putting SWEW on the map with great performance everywhere he goes. The winner of the 2004 Wrestler of the Year is Jimmy Jacobs.

HUSS starts ringing round the arena as Jimmy Jacobs carrying the SWEW Heavyweight Championship around his waist and Becky Bayless make there way to the ring. Just as Don Callis is about to hand a mic to Jimmy, Alex Shelley (still holding the Ultimate Challenge Cup trophy) and Super Dragon appear on the aisle and march to the ring. Shelley takes the mic and says this is bullshit. He won the Ultimate Challenge Cup and wasn’t even in the top 3 and he beat Jimmy Jacobs on the last show. He says everyone knows there is only one wrestler of the year and that is your next SWEW Heavyweight Champion Alex Shelley. Jacobs snatches the mic back off and tells Shelley to go screw himself and Jacobs smashes the mic over Shelley’s head. Super Dragon attacks Jacobs as Becky flees and Shelley gets back up. Shelley and Dragon start hammering away on Jacobs until AJ Styles, Low-Ki and Spanky fly down the ring and corner Shelley as Super Dragon escapes the ring. The threesome talk turns of chopping Shelley until; Samoa Joe and Trent Acid come from behind and take them out. I guess the match is starting now.

Eight Man Elimination Tag Match

AJ Styles, Jimmy Jacobs, Low-Ki & Spanky vs. Alex Shelley, Samoa Joe, Super Dragon & Trent Acid

Callis now back in the ‘commentary booth’ reminds us this is an elimination match and the surviving members of the winning team will be able to book any match they want. Callis also points out that ref Paul Turner will be making sure only the legal men will be in the match at any time and if someone comes into the ring to break up a pin they will be dq’ed and eliminated. Both teams eventually get into a corner each as things settle down and both teams talk a little strategy. It is Spanky and Samoa Joe who will start us off in the first and only match of the night.

After ducking a clothesline, Spanky used a dropkick to send Samoa Joe down. A second one sent Joe down again and Spanky covered but Joe powered out with ease. Samoa Joe hit Spanky with a series of vicious kicks to the body and threw Spanky into his corner and tagged in Trent Acid. Joe lifted Spanky to his knee while Acid hit a small legdrop as the Crew members doubled teamed Spanky. The ref ushered Joe out of the ring which gave Spanky time to get up from the pin as Acid got a two count. Acid powerbombed Spanky into the mat and set up for a Yakuza Kick. He lifted his boot but Spanky blocked it and hit an enziguri and both men went down. Both men crawled to there corner but Acid tagged in Super Dragon in first and he rushed to the other side of the ring and blocked Spanky getting the pin. Spanky hit a sharp arm drag on Super Dragon, who popped right up and hit Spanky with some stiff shots to the chest and back of Spanky. Dragon tagged in Joe and Joe hit a big headbutt on Spanky and then set him on the top rope and tagged Super Dragon back in. Super Dragon climbed the top rope and hit a top rope Ace Crusher on Spanky. That was enough to eliminate him seven minutes into the match.

AJ Styles came into the ring as Alex Shelley decided he wanted into the match now. A single-leg trip from Shelley was enough to put Styles down and Shelley slapped on a chin lock. Styles started elbowing out and started hitting Shelley with a flurry of chops and kicks and Shelley quickly retreats to his corner and tags in Samoa Joe. AJ Styles sent Samoa Joe down with a massive straight kick to the head and Joe stumbles back and Super Dragon tags himself in and launches himself off the ropes and cross bodies Styles and get a 2 count. AJ tags in Low-Ki and Low-Ki and Super Dragon circle each other. A series of five forearms to the chest from Low-Ki left Super Dragon down in the middle of the ring in pain. Low-Ki hit several stiff kicks to Super Dragon. Low-Ki signalled for the Ki-Krusher and lifted Dragon up but he muscled out of it and lifted Ki up for a Psycho Driver but Low-Ki wriggled out of it and locked in the Dragon Sleeper on Super Dragon in the middle of the ring. Dragon had no where to go and tap out. Low-Ki was a bit slow on letting go of the hold and Shelley, Joe and Acid all stormed the ring and attacked Acid as all hell broke loose.

Styles, Jacobs and Low-Ki attempted to fight them off as Jacobs and Shelley started brawling in the middle of the ring Samoa Joe and Trent Acid were hammering on Low-Ki on the outside of the ring. Styles hit the ropes and flew over the top with a somersault plancha and took out Samoa Joe and Trent Acid. Order was restored after a while with Shelley and Jacobs now the legal men apparently. A series of HUSS chops from Jacobs had Shelley reeling and Jacobs had Shelley set up for the Yakuza Kick but Shelley ducked and tagged in. Trent Acid shoved Jacobs into his corner and Low-Ki tagged himself in. Acid looked warily at Low-Ki is opponent on the first night of the Mayhem in Minnesota weekend. Acid tried to overpower the smaller Low-Ki but was unable to as Low-Ki hit Acid with some stiff kicks to Acid and fell to the ground. Acid managed to duck a Low-Ki kick and go for a Yakuza kick and nailed Low-Ki square in the head.

Low-Ki somehow kicked out. Trent couldn’t believe it and set up again and he went for it but Low-Ki caught his leg and spun Trent over and picked him and drove him down with the Ki-Krusher and that was enough to get the pin. Alex Shelley immediately hit the ring and started to pound on Low-Ki as Acid moved to the back. Shelley pulled Low-Ki to the corner knowing if his team were to lose this fall they would be at a 3-1 handicap. Samoa Joe was tagged in and he locked on a single leg crab to weaken Low-Ki. Low-Ki managed to get to the ropes but the damage seemed to be done as Low-Ki was finding it hard to stand up. Shelley was tagged back in and n arm twist by Shelley was followed by a big STO from Samoa Joe who blind tagged into the ring as the leaders of the Crew and Majestic seemed to be working well. Joe covered Low-Ki but only got two. Joe arm dragged Low-Ki to the canvas and locked in a STF. It looked like Low-Ki was going to tap and AJ and Jimmy Jacobs tried to get the crowd behind Low-Ki. Low-Ki managed to get to his feet but when he did he was very groggy and just escaped the hold. Low-Ki tried to tag in a partner but Samoa Joe grabbed him from behind and at the 22 minute mark Low-Ki tapped out to the choke from Samoa Joe leaving AJ Styles and Jimmy Jacobs vs. Alex Shelley and Samoa Joe.

AJ Styles came into the ring and Samoa Joe went low with a kick on Styles to give him the advantage. Samoa Joe hit AJ Styles with a punch and tagged in Alex Shelley. AJ hit Alex Shelley with a chop and then applied a hammerlock. Shelley managed to reverse it with a unique leglock on Styles and Shelley released the hold. Styles hit an armdrag on Shelley and held on weakening the arm. Shelley got knocked down by a Styles heel kick and Styles climbed to the top rope. Styles waited for Shelley to get up and leaped and went for a hurricanrana but Shelley caught him and took him down in a high Boston Crab. The pain was intense as Shelley was screaming for AJ to tap out. However AJ got to the rope and Shelley was forced to let go but the damage was done. Shelley signalled it was the end and came towards Styles but Styles rolled Shelley up in a small cradle

Alex Shelley pinned AJ Styles using the bottom rope for leverage but the ref didn’t see. Samoa Joe tagged in Alex Shelley as Jimmy Jacobs slowly got into the ring. AJ was complaining to the ref but to no avail who told him to go to the back.

Samoa Joe got taken over with a fireman's carry by Jacobs whose strength was a surprise to Joe. Joe arm dragged Jacobs to the canvas, and threw him into the corner and started to give him a face wash in the corner. Joe signalled it was over after he gave a huge lariat to Jacobs he covered but only two. Another one got two again as Shelley told Joe to take him up top. Samoa Joe took Jimmy Jacobs and put him on the top rope. Joe climbed and got in position to deliver the Muscle Buster. Joe leaped but Jacobs caught Joes head and brought him down from the top rope with an Ace Crusher.

Jacobs pinned Samoa Joe leaving just him and Shelley. Shelley rushed into the ring and started attacking the weakened Jacobs. Jimmy Jacobs floored Shelley out of no where with a big chop but Shelley got straight up and whipped Jacobs hard into the corner as Samoa Joe went to the back. Shelley locked on a single leg crab to weaken Jacobs but he refused to tap as he got to the ropes. Jimmy Jacobs floored Shelley then Jimmy Jacobs hit Alex Shelley with a punch and then Jimmy Jacobs applied a hammerlock to Shelley, Shelley then reversed out of it and whipped Jacobs straight into the referee who smashed heads with Jacobs and fell down. Shelley locked in the Border City Stretch on Jacobs who started tapping out but there was no ref. Shelley continued holding the hold until AJ Styles came flying back down the aisle and picked up the Ultimate Challenge Cup trophy and went into the ring. Shelley went to closeline Styles but he ducked then smashed the Ultimate Challenge Cup trophy over Shelley’s head. Styles left the ring as Jacobs slowly moved to cover Shelley as the ref slowly came to.

Jimmy Jacobs was the remaining survivor as he pinned Alex Shelley to win the match. Samoa Joe came back down the aisle and attacked AJ from behind and threw him into the ring. Alex Shelley was up next as him and Joe both attacked AJ and Jacobs until officials came between them.

Result - AJ Styles, Low-Ki, Spanky and Jimmy Jacobs win

****1/4 (30:47)

As Jimmy Jacobs is helped up by Becky Bayless he gets on the mic. HUSS he tells Alex Shelley and Samoa Joe not to go down the aisle yet. He says that they have both made his life a misery since winning the SWEW Heavyweight Championship but now he gets some payback as on night one of Mayhem in Minnesota he can now make a match because he survived tonight. That match will be Alex Shelley taking on Samoa Joe in the battle of the leaders of Majestic and the Crew. Shelley and Joe stare at each other as he tells Shelley he will not beat him for the SWEW Heavyweight Championship then he turns to AJ Styles and tells him he won’t beat him for the SWEW Heavyweight Championship as the show comes to an end.

Mayhem in Minnesota

January 8th & 9th 2005

Skybox Arena, Minnesota

Super Wrestling Extravaganza Wrestling start 2005 with a bang as they debut in a new City and hold there first ever double shot weekend. SWEW will hold two shows in Minnesota at the Skybox Arena in what could forever change the landscape of SWEW. Signed for the doubleshot are SWEW Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Jacobs, Majestic of Alex Shelley, Delirious and Super Dragon. The Crew of Samoa Joe, Trent Acid and SWEW Tag Team Champions the Havana Pitbulls and also the debut of the controversial Teddy Hart. In this preview we will show you what all the key players and groups in SWEW have to win and lose this weekend:

SWEW Heavyweight Champion

Jimmy Jacobs

Jimmy Jacobs goes into Minnesota for his toughest test of his wrestling career as in 24 hours to survive as SWEW Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Jacobs will have to defeat on night one AJ Styles then arch rival Alex Shelley on night two if he is to remain SWEW Heavyweight Champion after Mayhem in Minnesota. Jacobs coming off a big victory at the Awards Evening and been awarded wrestler of the year is said to be thinking it is now possible for him to defeat these two top international stars and finally rid himself of the tag of a comedy wrestler.

Styles Ca$h (AJ Styles and Chris Ca$h)

AJ Styles has been warned by Jimmy Jacobs he is not scared of him as they go into night one to face each other for the SWEW Heavyweight Championship. AJ Styles is however the overwhelming favourite as he looks to add the SWEW Heavyweight Championship to his growing list of titles won. On night two AJ may have a chance to become the first ever double champion as he teams up with Chris Ca$h as they will take on whoever is the SWEW Tag Team Champion on night two which will be the winners of the SAT and Havana Pitbulls title match on night two. We have heard rumours that Ca$h is not best pleased that AJ is also having a singles career in SWEW as Ca$h brought AJ in just to be his tag partner. However if Styles Ca$h take the gold home I don’t think Ca$h will be complaining.

Majestic (Alex Shelley, Delirious and Super Dragon)

Leader of the Majestic could top his huge Ultimate Challenge Cup victory by capturing the SWEW Heavyweight Championship away from Jimmy Jacobs on night two if Jacobs survives with the title after his match with AJ Styles on night one. Majestic have made it clear from day one that they want to be the ones that take the title away from Jacobs and if AJ Styles does it, it will make Jacobs vs. Shelley non title. Styles has promised Alex Shelley the first shot at the title if Styles beats him for it, but Shelley doesn’t want it to go down like that and has let everyone who will listen know that. However on night one it will be a battle of the leaders as Alex Shelley will take on the leader of the Crew Samoa Joe thanks to Jimmy Jacobs who was allowed to make any match he wanted after been the only survivor at the Awards Evening. Both men having been looking to show who has the strongest group in SWEW and with both leaders going at it, a win of either of them could push either group to the top.

Alex Shelley has phoned the SWEW offices to tell them that Delirious and Super Dragon are to join forces and enter the tag team division. There first match will take place on night one as they face Jack Evans and the debuting Teddy Hart. Delirious and Super Dragon will be looking to get off to a good start on there path to capture the SWEW Tag Team titles. Then on night two Delirious and Super Dragon will take the night off as they have been told by Alex Shelley to watch his back at all times for his possible SWEW Heavyweight Championship match. It could be a break or make weekend for Majestic as Alex Shelley hopes to lead them to the top of SWEW.

The Crew (Samoa Joe, The Havana Pitbulls and Trent Acid)

The Crew have been signalled out by a lot of men in SWEW and people are out to get them this weekend in Minnesota. The Havana Pitbulls face two huge tag team championship matches as on night one they face the SAT who they have had numerous problems with at recent shows and on night two they face Styles Ca$h. The Havana Pitbulls have shown they are the best tag team in SWEW but will Rocky Romero and Ricky Reyes be able to face two tough teams in 24 hours and come up on top? Low-Ki has begun a war to rid SWEW of the Crew and Majestic and has targeted the Crew as the first group to get out of the way. On night one Trent Acid and Low-Ki go one on one and if Acid defeats Low-Ki it will stop Low-Kis war against the Crew before it has even begun but will Trent be able to get the job done?

The leader of the Crew Samoa Joe has a huge weekend ahead of him. First he will battle the leader of Majestic Alex Shelley in a match which could establish the winner of the match as the dominant leader of a group in SWEW. Samoa Joe is desperate not to lose this one and has been studying Alex Shelley very closely according to sources close to him. Then on night two he has a chance to get back into the SWEW Heavyweight Championship picture as he faces Low-Ki and Teddy Hart in a SWEW Triple Chance match. Joe will get to get in the ring with long term rival Low-Ki but what factor will the unpredictable Teddy Hart play in this match. Like Majestic, this weekend could be make or break for the Crew.

John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts

The artist formally known as Joker has one last chance in SWEW as he comes into Mayhem in Minnesota with a new attitude which he hopes will bring him success finally in SWEW. The self proclaimed ‘Baddest Rastafarian on the planet’, has gone back to his native roots and is hoping wins over Jimmy Rave on night one and Matt Sydal on night two will give him the confidence to move up the SWEW rankings.

Austin Aries

Have an awesome start in SWEW which saw Austin rise so fast he earned himself a SWEW Heavyweight Championship shot, he has stuttered in recent shows. Austin is not going to take it anymore and the cocky, explosive superstar has targeted Spanky as the man he needs to beat to rise up the rankings and on night two he will face Spanky in a match where if he wins he could rise back to where he once was in SWEW. However he can’t overlook his match with Matt Sydal on night one and if he lost to Sydal going into his big match with Spanky it would not be a good omen for Austin.

PRESHOW

Majestic are backstage with Alex Shelley looking into a camera with Super Dragon and Delirious hanging behind him. Shelley says this week his Majestic will rise to the top of SWEW. Delirious and Super Dragon will stop Teddy Hart and Jack Evans gaining power in SWEW. Samoa Joe and the Crew will be stopped by Shelley himself tonight then tomorrow night he will take the SWEW Heavyweight Championship away from Jimmy Jacobs.

SHOW

Austin Aries d. Matt Sydal (w/Daizee Haze)

Austin Aries came out with a really intense look on his face. Callis and Garguilo played up the fact that Aries hadn’t scored a big win in the last few shows but he did show any effects of recent mishaps as he beat Matt Sydal in a very competitive match. Sydal thought he had victory in his grasp after he hit a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker he climbed to the top rope and went for the Shooting Star Press but Aries moved and Sydal crashed to the mat. Aries took Sydals head off with a lariat climbed to the top rope and hit his 450 splash and covered for the 3. This was perfect preparation for his big match with Spanky tomorrow night.

Result - Austin Aries wins

***1/4 (13:51)

John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts d. Jimmy Rave

John 'OK' Earl Roberts came out in his old Joker gear with a big Jamaican sash around his neck. The crowd chanted Joker, Joker, Joker to him trying to wind him up but it didn’t work as Jimmy Rave was easily taken apart by Earl Roberts who looked very good in dismantling Rave. The finish came when Rave attempted a reverse-rana Earl Roberts caught Rave and took him in position for the Joker Driver what Callis donned the Jamaican Driver and brought Rave down to the mat and got the three count.

Result - John 'OK' Earl Roberts wins

** (8:02)

As Rave walked to the back Earl Roberts picked up the mic. He says Rave lost because he didn’t respect John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts and his Rastafarian roots and tomorrow night Matt Sydal will lose to Earl Roberts and he will dedicate his win to all his supporters.

SWEW Tag Team Championship

The Havana Pitbulls© d. The SAT

The Havana Pitbulls made there 4th defence of the SWEW Tag Team Championship as they beat the SAT in just under 15 minutes setting up there 5th defence against AJ Styles and Chris Ca$h, Styles Ca$h tomorrow night. Romero and Reyes were simply to strong for the SAT who after there build-up to there big title match will be disappointed they didn’t come closer to victory. The closest they came was after a plancha on Romero from Jose, Joel hit a hurricanrana on Reyes and covered but Reyes kicked out at two and a half. The Pitbulls picked up the win when Reyes and Jose were fighting on the outside. Romero delivered a barrage of lariats to Joel then signalled for one big one to finish and he hammered Joel with one and he covered and picked up the win.

Result - The Havana Pitbulls win

*** (13:52)

A camera followed the Pitbulls to the back and they were congratulated by Samoa Joe and Trent Acid as they went back into the lockeroom. Samoa Joe told the cameraman to stay as he began talking. He said tonight the leader of Majestic Alex Shelley is going to be taken out by Samoa Joe. Trent Acid will stop Low-Ki before he has even started and the Crew will become number one in SWEW.

Jack Evans & Teddy Hart draw Majestic of Delirious & Super Dragon

The two newest teams in SWEW went to a 15 minute time limit draw in what could be best described as a spot fest. Huge Teddy chants rang round the building as he came to the ring and after taking the initial advantage Super Dragon managed to slap the crap out of him and gain advantage. Both teams came close to the pinfall when Evans hit a SSP on Delirious while Hart was holding him it looked like it was over but Dragon stopped the pin. Hart did likewise when Dragon hit the Psycho Driver on Evans. Neither team were able to get an advantage and when the bell rang to signal the 15 minutes was over both teams got into an argument with each other and had to be separated by ring officials.

Result – Draw

***1/2 (15:00)

Samoa Joe d. Alex Shelley

The leaders of the Crew and Majestic met in the ring in one on one action for the first time in SWEW history but it was the leader of the Crew Samoa Joe who picked up the win in a very good match. Although the match Callis pointed out how Shelley may be thinking of his possible SWEW Heavyweight Championship match with Jimmy Jacobs tomorrow if Jacobs retain tonight and might not be 100% on his game today. Joe was defiantly on his game and came close several times in the opening 15 minutes to getting a victory. An STO gave him a two count and Shelley was close to tapping to the STF but crawled to the ropes. The fans weren’t getting behind wither man really as they are both firmly on the heel side. Shelley realising he needed to fight back or he wouldn’t be fit enough to fight Jacobs tomorrow started to use his speed and tried to ware Joe out to tire him out.

Joe started to look sluggish and when Shelley kicked him in the gut Joe was winded and Shelley hit DDT that spiked him right on the top of his head. Shelley covered but Joe kicked out. Shelley then hooked in the Border City Stretch and it looked like Joe was to tap but he got to his feet still carrying Shelley and put him in position to hit the Island Driver and he did. Samoa Joe covered and Alex Shelley had lost to the leader of the Crew. When Shelley got up he got into Joes face then he big the ‘title is mine’ hands to Joe before leaving the ring. If Samoa Joe wins the big SWEW Triple Chance tomorrow he will be able to have a shot at whoever is the champion in the future.

Result - Samoa Joe wins

***3/4 (23:09)

Low-Ki d. Trent Acid

Low-Ki came to the ring looking to put a huge dent in the Crews already successful night with the other 3 members getting victories tonight. Low-Ki who will step into the ring with Trent’s leader Samoa Joe tomorrow along with Teddy Hart in a SWEW Triple Chance match tomorrow night started the better of the two and hit some stiff kicks to Trent who bailed out of the ring. Trent came back with his own stiff kicks and Trent used some of his goofy antics to try and mess with Low-Kis head. It didn’t work however and after and near 20 minute superb match Low-Ki just as he did at the Awards Evening caught Trent Acid as he went for a Yakuza Kick he picked him up and drove him down to the mat with a Ki-Krusher to pick up the win. The fans gave the duo a round of applause as both men went to the back.

Result - Low-Ki wins

**** (18:43)

Don Callis came out before the main event and announced further dates to go along with tomorrow nights show and the North Dakota show on January 22nd. On February 6th they will return to South Dakota then a second North Dakota show on 19th of February before the big return to the Guthrie Centre on March 12th. Callis reminds fans of tomorrows show same time, same place tomorrow night and reads out the card:

Mayhem in Minnesota – Night 2 - Skybox Arena, Minnesota, January 9th

Callis thanks the fans for coming and hopes all of them will come back for tomorrows show.

SWEW Heavyweight Championship

Jimmy Jacobs© (w/Becky Bayless) vs. AJ Styles

AJ Styles came out first and got a huge reaction as one of the most popular wrestlers in North America was about to challenge for the SWEW Heavyweight Championship. Jacobs and Becky came out next and HUSS rang round the building as he was about to face one of his toughest challenges yet as he prepares to make his seventh title defence. The two men shake hands as the match gets underway.

AJ and Jacobs grappled and AJ threw Jacobs down to the mat. Styles kicked Jimmy Jacobs in the ribs. Jacobs got worn down by Styles as he was wrapped in a leg grapevine by Styles. AJ Styles suplexed Jacobs and made a cover but got two. Styles dumped Jacobs to the outside and measured him up. Styles came over the ropes with a somersault plancha dive on Jimmy Jacobs crashing both men into the guardrail. The crowd shout holy shit. Jimmy Jacobs is up first and hits AJ Styles with a punch. He tries to whip AJ into the guardrail but AJ reveres and Jacobs just smashes into the guardrail and into the crowd destroying the guard rail. AJ Styles picks Jacobs up and chops him down then rolls him in the ring.

AJ Styles covered Jacobs and got 2. Jacobs looked like he hurt his shoulder while on the outside and was holding it as AJ backed Jacobs into the turnbuckles and unloaded with chops. Styles arm dragged Jacobs to the canvas, and hooked an arm bar working on his injured shoulder. In a nice sequence, Styles came off the ropes with a spinning head-scissors on Jimmy Jacobs, after avoiding two clotheslines in a brief Jimmy Jacobs comeback. AJ Styles came off the ropes with his backwards somersault reverse DDT and covered and got a two. Styles took Jacobs over with a spinning arm drag. A big kick from Jacobs caught Styles off guard but he got right back up, only to take a second big kick to the head and Jacobs covered:

Styles kicked out after Jacobs hit his first two real big moves of the match. Three right hands from Styles sent Jacobs down and Styles climbed to the top rope and came down on top of Styles with a Spiral Tap

Jacobs just put his foot on the ropes. AJ Styles couldn’t believe it but he sensed victory was close. Styles sent Jacobs down with a kick to the side of the head and signalled for the Styles Clash. AJ picked Jacobs up but Jacobs reversed with a hurricanrana and Styles landed on his head. Styles was groggily up and Jacobs grabbed his head ran to the corner and delivered the Contra Code to AJ Styles. Jacobs landed badly on his already injured shoulder. Jacobs was slow to cover

Styles kicked out of Jacobs’s finisher. Jacobs couldn’t believe it as he measured up AJ Styles for the big boot. Jacobs’s runs but Styles catches him in the air and delivers the Styles Clash:

Alex Shelley had run down the aisle and pulled referee Sean Hanson out. Shelley nailed the ref with a right hand as Styles looked in disbelief. Shelley grabbed a steel chair and came into the ring and swung it at AJ. Styles ducked and grabbed the chair from Shelley and hammered it over Shelley’s head. However he never saw Super Dragon come into the ring behind him and he picked Styles up and hit the Psycho Driver on Styles. Delirious had run down and rolled the ref into the ring. Dragon pulled Jacobs on top of Styles while Delirious had come off the ropes with the Crazy Drop on Styles. Hanson slowly covered the pinfall

Jimmy Jacobs had retained the SWEW Heavyweight Championship over AJ Styles thanks to Majestic setting up Alex Shelley’s title shot for tomorrow night against champion Jimmy Jacobs. Majestic continue to pound on Styles and Jacobs until Low-Ki comes down with a chair, down goes Super Dragon but Delirious and Shelley attack Low-Ki. Styles is up and a wild brawl irrupts. The Crew come back to the ring and attack Low-Ki and everyone starts fighting with everyone as a 10 man brawl ensues. The Havana Pitbulls go after AJ Styles there opponent tomorrow night, Samoa Joe after Low-Ki, Delirious after Trent Acid and Jacobs and Shelley getting at it in the middle of the ring. It ends with Styles, Low-Ki and Jacobs ridding the ring of the Crew and Majestic as the tape comes to an end.

Result - Jimmy Jacobs wins

POSTSHOW

Teddy Hart and Jack Evans are backstage. Teddy is acting weird but it appears he has signed to face Super Dragon on January 22nd in North Dakota. Teddy says there going and Evans leaves with him and also someone who we don’t see as the tape goes to black.

PRESHOW

Majestic arrive outside the building with Alex Shelley looking very happy after last nights work in securing his title shot for tonight’s main event.

Jimmy Jacobs arrives with his arm in a sling. A ‘fan’ asks Jimmy if he’s ok. HUSS it’s just for extra protection and he will be at 100% for tonight’s main event when he defends the SWEW Heavyweight Championship against Alex Shelley.

SHOW

The SAT d. Wasted Talent

Alex Lovell and Ray Stevens were waiting in the ring to make there full show debuts after graduating from the SWEW Training Camp as the team Wasted Talent. The SAT were looking to bounce back after losing in a title match to the Havana Pitbulls last night. Wasted Talent showed why they had been touted as the most exciting duo in the training camp as they came close to picking up wins on two occasions when Alex Lovell hit a hurricanrana after bouncing off the middle rope it looked like he would pin Jose but was unable to get the three. When Stevens locked in the Border City Stretch in the middle of the ring it looked like Joel would tap out but Jose was able to break it up. Experience however won the match as the SAT picked up the win when Lovell was on the top rope looking to hit a big move he was cut off by Jose and Joel joined them on the top rope as they hit the Spanish Fly on Lovell and Joel covered to pick up the win. Despite the loss it was a good showing for Lovell and Stevens who have looked to have impressed enough to remain on the fulltime roster.

Result - The SAT win

(9:03) **1/4

John 'OK' Earl Roberts d. Matt Sydal (w/Daizee Haze)

Just as he did last night John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts made short work of his opponent as he picked up a second victory of the weekend. Sydal through everything he had at Earl Roberts but it was not enough as Earl Roberts after locking in a STF earlier in the match to injury the neck was able to take it home by hitting the Jamaican Driver for the second night in a row to pick up a win. Earl Roberts got a lot of abuse from the just over 2000 fans in attendance as he went to grab a mic.

Result - John 'OK' Earl Roberts wins

(10:33) **1/2

As Sydal was helped to the back by Daizee, Earl Roberts got on the mic and in an over the top Jamaican voice thanked all his fans for helping win both his matches this weekend. However now he wants to challenge one of the top men in SWEW to show all the non-believers that John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts is the baddest Rastafarian on the planet. Earl Roberts wants Low-Ki for the 22nd January show in North Dakota and if Low-Ki accepts he will feel what real pain feels like. Earl Roberts was told to fuck off by several fans as he made his way to the back.

We cut to the ring and Danny Daniels is in the ring, he says that even without Kid Kash he can still be a big player in SWEW and it doesn’t matter who this mystery opponent is. As soon as he says that Jack Evans music hits and out comes Jack Evans, Teddy Hart and the debuting Bobby Quance. Quance runs into the ring and it looks like Quance is the mystery member of Teddy Hart and Jack Evans team and the man to face Danny Daniels right now.

Bobby Quance (w/ Jack Evans & Teddy Hart) d. Danny Daniels

A few nice Bobby chants rang round the arena as the west coast star looked very good picked up a win on his debut. Quance showed why he is known as the shooting star as he hit a lot of unique high flying moves including a reverse suicide tope through the ropes driving Daniels into the guard rail. Daniels came back with a bit of offence and nearly hit Quance with the Electric Chair Driver but Quance reversed it with a reverser rana. After a barrage of attacks Bobby Quance floored Danny Daniels, then went to the top rope and he came off with the Shooting Star Press. That was enough to get the three count and Teddy Hart and Jack Evans joined Quance in the ring to celebrate. Evans made a few ‘H’ gestures to the crowd with his fans as the threesome went to the back.

Result - Bobby Quance wins

SWEW Tag Team Championship

The Havana Pitbulls© vs. Styles Ca$h

After losing in last nights main event against Jimmy Jacobs for the SWEW Heavyweight Championship thanks to Majestic, AJ Styles was looking to make up for it with his partner Chris Ca$h as they looked to stop the Havana Pitbulls from making there fifth title defence. AJ and Ca$h were out first and Ca$h was handing out $5 to the crowd as it was a big occasion. The Havana Pitbulls attacked AJ Styles in the post match brawl last night and they looked confident as the Crew members came into the ring as they prepared to defend there titles.

AJ Styles and Ricky Reyes started out and came face to face and AJ Just waffled Reyes with a huge forearm sending him to the corner. Romero tagged himself in and a clothesline by Romero put Styles down to the canvas. An armdrag from Romero sent AJ down again and he locked in an armbar. Styles and Romero wrestled in the mat for a minute then both got out and stood off. Ca$h and Reyes were tagged in and the power of Ricky Reyes was in evidence as he blasted Ca$h with a hard clothesline and after a boot to the gut, he hit a big DDT on Ca$h and covered for a two. Ca$h hit Reyes with a few hits and went for a dropkick to knock Reyes down. Reyes wobbled and Ca$h went for another one and Reyes swatted him down, picked him up and through him over him head landing Ca$h on the top of his head

AJ broke up the pin and as the ref ushered out Romero and Reyes double teamed Ca$h and Romero tagged himself in as AJ complained. Romero climbed to the top rope and launched himself off the top and Romero head butted Ca$h and covered for two. Ricky Reyes was tagged in and snap suplexed Chris Ca$h then locked in a Boston crab. Ca$h desperately crawled to the ropes and eventually did but the damage looked done as Reyes covered and got another two. Reyes head butted Ca$h who fell down and Romero was tagged in. Romero set up for a powerbomb but Ca$h hurricanranaed out of it but was unable to tag in AJ Styles as Romero cut him off just in time. Romero looked to throw Ca$h out of the ring but Ca$h reversed and through Romero out of the ring. AJ screamed for a tag but showing his inexperience, Ca$h followed Romero out of the ring coming over the top with a plancha landing on Romero.

AJ Styles and Reyes started fighting on the inside as Ca$h and Romero were on a heap on the floor. AJ threw Reyes to the outside on top of the duo on the outside. All three men were slow to get up but AJ Styles measured them up and hit a somersault plancha on the three men taking out his own partner but also both Pitbulls. AJ rolled Ca$h into the ring and himself got in the ring as they waited for the Pitbulls to come in the ring and attacked. Reyes and AJ were ushered out of the ring as Ca$h covered Reyes but only got a two. Ca$h went to tag AJ but Reyes stopped him by tripping him and threw him into the corner. Rocky Romero was tagged in and with a gutwrench suplex Romero nearly got a 3 count. Romero short-arm clotheslines Ca$h and Ca$h was taken over with a suplex from Romero then was locked in an arm twist by which was followed by three arm wrenches in a row to weaken Ca$h. Romero sensed victory was his and measured up for a big lariat. Ca$h got up and Romero ran at Ca$h who insensitively ducked and Romero missed and out of nowhere Ca$h jumped up and hit a big kick to the back on Romeros head and both men fell to the mat. Both men crawled to there corners. Reyes was tagged in and finally AJ Styles was tagged in.

Styles met Reyes in the middle of the ring and after some stiff kicks and chops. AJ hit three huge lariats on Reyes and covered

NEW CHAMPIONS. AJ Styles had pinned Ricky Reyes and won the SWEW Tag Team Championships for his team. Ca$h got in the ring and hugged Styles as they celebrated with there new title belts. AJ and Ca$h posed to the crowd with there new titles as the Havana Pitbulls went to the back with no titles round there waste.

Result - Styles Ca$h win the SWEW Tag Team Championship titles

(20:02) ***3/4

Spanky d. Austin Aries

Another great match followed the tag title match as Spanky and Austin Aries went 20 minutes of non stop action. Austin Aries has picked Spanky as the man he needs to beat to get to the top of SWEW however it would have to be another night for Austin as Spanky just got the better of him tonight. Aries came close to victory on several occasions hitting series of high impact moves. Five pendulum elbows wasn’t enough to put him away and the tornado foreman turned Spanky inside out but it wasn’t enough as Spanky kept kicking out time and time again. Spanky managed to pick up the win as Aries began to feel tired around the 19 minute mark and after a minute of forearms and chops Spanky was able to hit the Sliced Bread #2 on Aries to pick up the win.

Shockingly this wasn’t all that happened because as Spanky was celebrating on the top rope, Austin Aries shoved Spanky off the ropes to the outside and he crashed through a table at ringside. Aries looked enraged as he dragged Spanky from the heap of rubble brought him back in the ring picked up a steel chair and walloped it over the head of Spanky. Blood was dripping everywhere from the head of Spanky as official and backstage staff came to pull Austin off Spanky. Aries had a deranged smile over his face as he walked to the back. A few close ups of Spanky showed a massive cut right in the middle of his forehead.

Result - Spanky wins

SWEW Triple Chance Match

Samoa Joe d. Low-Ki & Teddy Hart

In the match of the night Samoa Joe inserted himself back into the SWEW Heavyweight Championship picture and got some of the Crews credibility back after losing the SWEW Tag Team Championship as he earned himself a SWEW Triple Chance. Low-Ki who has waged war on the Crew and Majestic came close to getting falls over both men as a Ki-Krusher to Teddy Hart looked like it would finish it but Samoa Joe just broke it up. When Low-Ki had locked the Dragon Sleeper on Samoa Joe it looked like he would tap but out of nowhere Teddy Hart came off the top with a Shooting Star Press to break it up. Teddy Hart looked like he was going to steel it as he covered Joe but he just kicked out. When Teddy had dumped Low-Ki out of the ring he looked like he was going to follow him over but Samoa Joe from behind locking him in the choke which Teddy couldn’t fight off and was forced to tap making Samoa Joe the winner. Low-Ki and Samoa Joe stared down in the ring before Low-Ki left as Joe celebrated some more.

Result - Samoa Joe wins

SWEW Heavyweight Championship title

Jimmy Jacobs© (w/Becky Bayless) vs. Alex Shelley

Alex Shelley came out first in his first ever SWEW Heavyweight Championship match. The rest of Majestic were meant to be with Shelley but were banned after there actions last night in costing AJ Styles the SWEW Heavyweight Championship. Jacobs came out with Becky as HUSS rung round the arena. Jacobs arm was out of it sling and looked in good shape. The former friends stared down each other as Jacobs looked to make his 7th title defence and Shelley looked to capture the SWEW Heavyweight Championship.

Both men traded blows to start but Alex Shelley got drilled by Jacobs with a big knife-edge chop and Shelley fell down. Shelley used an amateur-style move to take down Jacobs and Shelley went about locking Jacobs injured shoulder in a unique arm submission on the floor. Jacobs bit Shelleys hand to let go and Shelley leapt up and both men stared at each other as the crowd applauded. Duelling Shelley and Jacobs chants rang round the arena as the dup grappled. Shelley hit Jacobs with a belly to belly suplex but Jacobs popped right back up and went for a Yakuza kick but Shelley ducked and hit a sick german suplex on Jacobs and covered for 2. Jacobs arm wrenched Alex Shelley and tripped him up taking him to the ground. A weak cover got one for Jacobs as Shelley pounded on Jacobs arm for Jacobs to let go. Shelley got taken over with a fireman's carry by Jacobs and Jimmy Jacobs hit a sharp arm drag on Shelley then hit a Yakuza Kick out of nowhere

Shelley put Jacobs in the ring and Shelley flipped over the top rope and sentoned onto Jacobs

Alex Shelley had his knee driven into the mat by Jacobs but his shoulder was hurting to much as Shelley delivered the Shell Shock to Jacobs

Shelley couldn’t believe it as he was handed the title, Delirious and Super Dragon came down to help him celebrate as Jacobs laid on the mat in agony. Saturday Showdown

January 22nd 2005

Hallom Arena, North Dakota

SWEW returns to North Dakota and comes in after crowning two new champions at the Mayhem in Minnesota weekend. For 6 six months Jimmy Jacobs was SWEW Heavyweight Champion but no longer as Alex Shelley defeated Jimmy Jacobs to take the title. For 4 months the Havana Pitbulls were SWEW Tag Team Champions but no longer as Styles Ca$h of AJ Styles and Chris Ca$h defeated the Havana Pitbulls to take the titles. Now both titles will be defended by the respected champions for the first time as SWEW present Saturday Showdown.

SWEW Heavyweight Championship

Alex Shelley© vs. Samoa Joe

Since Jimmy Jacobs took the SWEW Heavyweight Championship at the first ever SWEW show Go, Go, Go, Alex Shelley has been uneasy with his former friend doing better than him. Six months later Alex Shelley is the leader of Majestic commanding his loyal soldiers Delirious and Super Dragon into battle. He has defeated four men in one night to win the Ultimate Challenge Cup and finally on night two of the Mayhem in Minnesota weekend he achieved his number one goal and took the SWEW Heavyweight Championship away from Jacobs by defeating him clean in the middle of the ring. Alex Shelley has stated if Jimmy Jacobs can hold the title for 6 months who can stop him holding it for year. Shelley may be confident, but there is a big angry Samoan in his way and is going to stop at nothing to finally become number one in SWEW after winning a SWEW Triple Chance match with Low-Ki and Teddy Hart the same night Shelley became champion.

Alex Shelley leads Majestic, Samoa Joe leads the Crew. Both men believe there team is stronger than the other however now the Crew have lost the SWEW Tag Team Championship Majestic are number one in SWEW. However 24 hours before Alex Shelley won the SWEW Heavyweight Championship in a 20 minute classic match Samoa Joe defeated Alex Shelley clean in the middle of the ring and is very confident of doing it again. Now his bogey man Jimmy Jacobs is not in possession of the SWEW Heavyweight Championship Samoa Joe has stated the title is his and he along with the rest of the Crew are going to stop Alex Shelley and the rest of the Majestic in there tracks. The biggest prize of them all will be on the line at Saturday Showdown as SWEW Heavyweight Champion Alex Shelley will defend his title for the first time as Samoa Joe makes the challenge in what promises to be a main event the people of North Dakota will be talking about for months.

SWEW Tag Team Championship

Styles Ca$h© vs. The SAT

Chris Ca$h achieved his dream of becoming a champion as on there second attempt to take the SWEW Tag Team Championship from the Havana Pitbulls, AJ Styles was able to hit Ricky Reyes with the Styles Clash to give Styles Ca$h there first title reign. Now they will defend there titles against the SAT of Jose and Joel Maximo who despite losing on night one of Mayhem in Minnesota defeated the young team of Alex Lovell and Ray Stevens on night two which Don Callis thought was enough to award them a title shot at Saturday Showdown. Both teams are very popular with the fans and it promises to be a great highflying match as Styles Ca$h defend the SWEW Tag Team Championship for the very first time against the SAT.

Super Dragon vs. Teddy Hart

At night one of Mayhem in Minnesota Teddy Hart made his debut for SWEW as he debuted teaming with friend Jack Evans to face Majestic of Delirious and Super Dragon. The match went to a 15 minute time limit draw in a very exiting match and Dragon and Teddy Hart got into each others faces after the match so Commissioner Don Callis placed them to fight in one on one action at Saturday Showdown. At the end of the Mayhem in Minnesota weekend it appeared that Teddy Hart along with Jack Evans and Bobby Quance had formed his own team known as H-Factor in an attempt to inject some energy into SWEW. Alex Shelley has told Super Dragon to stop the H-Factor before it has even got started as he wants nobody to take Majestics market share of SWEW.

SWEW Triple Chance Match

Austin Aries vs. Delirious vs. Rocky Romero

For the first time Don Callis has made the SWEW Triple Chance Match a chance for tag teams to get a tag title shot for the future of Rocky Romero of the Havana Pitbulls and Delirious who is now teaming with Majestic team-mate Super Dragon have a chance to earn themselves a SWEW Tag Team Championship shot against new champions Styles Ca$h. Delirious has been a real surprise package in SWEW in it’s first six months and has picked up many big wins. Rocky Romero has been very dominate in tag team action holding the SWEW Tag Team Championship for months before losing the last show and would love to get a rematch for himself. However there is a wildcard in this match and that is Austin Aries. After a great start in SWEW, Austins star started to die down in SWEW, but no more. Austin Aries targeted Spanky as the man he needs to get to the top of SWEW. On the second night of Mayhem in Minnesota in a great match Spanky defeated Austin Aries only for Aries to hospitalize Spanky after the match making him to miss Saturday Showdown and Austin Aries told Don Callis to put him in Spankys place for this match. Callis looking threatened did so and Austin Aries is in and is looking for a big win so he can once again challenge for the SWEW Heavyweight Championship. However when Spanky returns to SWEW Austin will have to watch  his back as his actions might come back to haunt him.

John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts vs. Low-Ki

It was a really successful weekend in Minnesota for Earl Roberts as his transformation from Joker to the baddest Rastafarian on the planet brought him victories over Jimmy Rave and Matt Sydal. After beating Sydal he dedicated his win to his people and said he would show the non-believers he is the real deal by challenging Low-Ki to a match. However sometimes you wish you didn’t get for what you wish for as Low-Ki has accepted the match and put his war against Majestic and the Crew on the side one night as he prepares to battle Earl Roberts. If Earl Roberts could pick up a huge upset victory on Low-Ki the fans will have to accept him as the real deal as the Earl moves up the SWEW rankings. However Low-Ki has shown time and time again he is one of the best in the US and won’t be taking Earl Roberts lightly in what promises to be a hard hitting match.

H-Factor of Bobby Quance & Jack Evans vs. The Crew of Ricky Reyes & Trent Acid

H-Factor make there official debut at Saturday Showdown as in tag action Bobby Quance and Jack Evans will face members of the Crew Ricky Reyes and Trent Acid. Reyes and Acid have never teamed before but similarly to Alex Shelley, Samoa Joe has told his boys to stop H-Factor in there tracks before they get started. Reyes and Acid have the size advantage but Evans and Quance could quite possibly be the fastest tag team in the history of wrestling. A win over the Crew for H-Factor could help them cement themselves as a viable 3rd party in battle for control of SWEW but the Crew are going to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Alex Lovell vs. Jimmy Rave

Lovell made is SWEW debut teaming with partner Ray Stevens as they lost to the SAT on night two of Mayhem in Minnesota. However Lovell and Stevens were impressive in there first full-time match after been called up from the SWEW Training Academy and Lovell will be looking to pick up his first win in SWEW as he takes on Jimmy Rave who is currently 0-265 in SWEW. Another loss for Rave especially against someone who is wrestling only his second match will surely end his SWEW career for good but will Lovell be able to get the job done?

Tickets are still available on the door for the party at $15 or through www.swew.com. We are at the Hallom Arena on January 22nd as we return to North Dakota. We hope you are there as we present a stacked card including two first time defences of titles as SWEW Heavyweight Champion Alex Shelley makes his first title defence against Samoa Joe and the SWEW Tag Team Champions Styles Ca$h make there first defence against the SAT. Will both champions come through there first title defences? There is only one way to find out.

PRESHOW

A limo pulls up outside the Hallom Arena and out comes H-Factor of Teddy Hart, Jack Evans and Bobby Quance. They sign some autographs for some nice looking girls as they walk into the arena looking in a good mood.

Looking in a even better mood however is out new SWEW Heavyweight Champion Alex Shelley. Behind him stand the rest of Majestic Delerious and Super Dragon as Alex Shelley says they rule SWEW now and in tonights main event, Shelley will make his first title defence against Samoa Joe tonight and claims once again if Jacobs can hold the belt for six months, he could hold it for years. Shelley says he knows Joe beat him on night one of Mayhem in Minnesota but Shelley let him win so he would be fresher for Jacobs the next night. Tonight Shelley is 100% focused on Joe and it isn’t going to be nice.

SHOW

H-Factor of Bobby Quance & Jack Evans d. The Crew of Trent Acid and Ricky Reyes

H-Factor made a huge mark on there full debut as Bobby Quance and Jack Evans defeated the makeshift Crew team of Ricky Reyes and Trent Acid. Coming to the ring you could see the lack of communication between Reyes and Acid as Acid danced to the ring and mingled with the crowd while Reyes was very busy like in marching straight to the ring. Despite this Acid and Reyes dominated in the early part of the match and came close to pinfalls over Evans on several occasions. However when Acid went for a top rope moonsault Evans moved out of the way and was able to tag in Bobby Quance. The fresh Bobby Quance was able to take out Reyes who had come in the ring and knocked him to the outside. Evans flew over the top with an insane twisting moonsault to the outside. Quance hit a big bulldog on Acid and climbed to the top rope and delivered a big Shooting Star Press on Trent Acid and covered for the 3.

After the match H-Factor went to the back looking happy with there win. Trent Acid and Ricky Reyes started arguing into Samoa Joe the leader of the Crews music hit and him and Romero came down to the ring. Samoa Joe complains at Reyes and Acid and asks why they just lost to some small cruiserweights. He tells Trent Acid that lately all he has been doing is losing. He says the Pitbulls had the SWEW Tag Team Champions, he has a SWEW Heavyweight Championship shot tonight but what is Trent doing to help the Crew. Joe leaves with leaving an ultimatum to Trent Acid. Do something positive for the Crew and soon, or he is out of the Crew. Reyes, Joe and Romero leave the ring leaving Acid trailing behind.

Result – H-Factor of Bobby Quance & Jack Evans win

Jimmy Rave d. Alex Lovell (w/Ray Stevens)

Alex Lovell got to take part in his first singles match in SWEW while Jimmy Rave was desperate not to lose again, especially to someone in his second ever match. Lovell’s partner Ray Stevens was with ringside at him and Lovell looked to have picked up a shock victory when Rave and Stevens got into an argument from behind Lovell sprang up on Rave and hit a sick reverse hurricanrana landing Rave on the top of his head. Lovell covered and got a two. Rave was able to pick up the win when Lovell took to the top rope he leaped attempting a crossbody but Rave managed to move into position to hook in the crossface on Lovell in the middle of the ring. Lovell was unable to get out and Rave picked up an actual win in SWEW.

Result - Jimmy Rave wins

(8:43) **1/2

As John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts came down to the ring before his big match with Low-Ki he gets on the mic. He dedicates his upcoming win to all his fans and says Low-Ki will be sacrificed for all the people from the Caribbean. Just as Earl Roberts said that Low-Ki’s music hit and he looked pissed as he came to the ring.

Low-Ki d. John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts

Fans were chanting ‘Fuck him up Low-Ki’ as Low-Ki stalked Earl Roberts and came at him with some big kicks. Earl Roberts fled to the outside as Low-Ki waited for his return. Roberts came slowly into the ring and the slightly bigger man was able to go low on Low-Ki to take advantage of the match. Roberts continually stamped on Low-Ki and tried keeping him on the floor as best he can. Roberts nearly made true his big promise to beat Low-Ki as Roberts came off the top rope with a big elbow and covered for a long two count. Low-Ki however was able to get up and with bigger things such as the Crew and Majestic to take care of and came back at Earl Roberts with a flurry of kicks. Low-Ki hit a dragon suplex on Earl Roberts then locked in the Dragon Clutch. Earl Roberts managed to get to the ropes but was in obvious pain as he waited in the corner as Low-Ki hit his cartwheel elbow in the corner. Low-Ki signalled for the Ki-Krusher and picked Roberts up and drove him down to the mat and covered for the win. The fans laughed at Earl Roberts as he went to the back as Low-Ki posed in the ring for a while.

Result - Low-Ki wins

(12:30) **3/4

SWEW Tag Team Championship

Styles Ca$h d. The SAT

Styles Ca$h made there first SWEW Tag Team Championship defence a successful one as they beat the SAT in a good outing. As common place for Styles Ca$h matches, Chris Ca$h played face in peril into AJ was able to get into the ring. The finish came when AJ Styles hit the Styles Clash on Joel Maximo and covered he got two as Jose broke it up. AJ made a blind tag to Ca$h as AJ and Jose brawled, Ca$h climbed to the top rope and hit a 450 splash on Joel and covered for the 3 count.

As AJ and Chris celebrated with there belts out of nowhere, Trent Acid hit the ring and knocked Chris Ca$h off the top rope and before AJ knew what was going on Trent hit a big Yakuza Kick on AJ knocking him nearly out cold. Trent then took AJs tag team title belt and posed with it on the aisle before heading to the back with AJs SWEW Tag Team Championship belt. Officials came to help AJ who looked quite dazed at what happened and he was helped up by Ca$h and the officials.

Result - Styles Ca$h win

(13:03) ***

Super Dragon d. Teddy Hart

H-Factor made a huge statement by beating two members of the Crew and Teddy Hart was looking to make an impression on Majestic by beating Super Dragon. The match was super stiff with Dragon and Hart trading big moves, big dives and harsh streaches the whole match. In a great 20 minute match both men came close to picking up the win in a match which saw some innovative moves. Hart flew off the top rope to the outside with a 450 crossbody on Dragon to take him down while Dragon hit a top rope head stomp on Hart nearly crushing his skull. Super Dragon was able to pick up the win when he caught Teddy Hart with a big Dragon Suplex nearly breaking Teddys head. Both men got a standing ovation for the match as Majestic picked up a win over H-Factor.

Result - Super Dragon wins

(20:09) ****

SWEW Triple Chance Match

Austin Aries d. Delirious & Rocky Romero

Austin Aries shot himself right to the top of SWEW as he joined CM Punk and Jimmy Jacobs by picking up a SWEW Triple Chance and giving him a chance to challenge for the SWEW Heavyweight Championship once again. Romero and Delirious were looking to win the match for there respective partners as Majestic and the Havana Pitbulls were looking to get a shot against Styles Ca$h but Aries was simply to quick for them. The dynamic of three heels in the same match posed a little problem but Delirious managed to play the underdog as Romero and Aries double teamed him for most of the match. However when Romero went to cover Delirious, Aries double crossed him and drove him to the mat with a german suplex then he rolled Romero out of the ring and climbed to the top rope. Delirious who was down after a superkick from Romero was unable to get out of the way as Aries hit the 450 Splash. That was enough to get the win, Aries smirked a lot as Romero looked annoyed with Aries. Aries picked up a mic as Romero and Delirious went to the back.

Result - Austin Aries wins

(15:08) ***

Aries looking very happy with his win looks round the crowd and starts to speak. Aries says originally Spanky was meant to be in this match, but at Mayhem in Minnesota, Spanky had to cheat to win the epic 20 minute match so Aries had no choice but to throw Spanky threw the table on the outside then bust him open with a steel chair putting him in hospital and making him miss the show. Aries starts laughing as he begins to talk again, he says he has forgiven Spanky and is ready to get in the ring with him on February 6th in South Dakota for a second time.

As Aries says this commissioner Don Callis comes to the ring. He takes the mic from Aries and tells Aries he doesn’t make the matches, but Don Callis makes the matches. Callis tells Aries that on February 6th Spanky and Aries will be in the ring together but not on one on one action, but in tag action as it will be a Dream Partner match. Callis tells Aries that Spanky has already picked Low-Ki to be his partner and Aries has 15 days to find a partner of his choosing. Aries doesn’t look to happy, but mouths off to Callis and says that’s fine by him and leaves. Callis then turns his attentions to Trent Acid who he calls a disgrace for taking AJ Styles SWEW Tag Team Championship belt. A title is something to earn, not to steel and Acid has not earned it. AJ Styles has challenged Trent Acid to a singles match on Feb 6th and Callis has confirmed it. Callis also notes the lack of a number one contender for Styles Ca$hs SWEW Tag Team Championship belts so he makes a number one contenders match between the Havana Pitbulls, Majestic of Super Dragon and Delirious, H-Factor of Teddy Hart & Jack Evans and the SAT in a four team elimination match. Callis thanks the fans for coming and hope they enjoy the main event. Callis makes his way to the back as Samoa Joes music hits.

As we hear Samoa Joes music in the background we got backstage and see Jimmy Jacobs coming through the arena door.

SWEW Heavyweight Championship

Alex Shelley© vs. Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe came out looking in a confident mood as he circled the ring looking to become SWEW Heavyweight Champion. The Ultimate Challenge Cup holder and current SWEW Heavyweight Champion Alex Shelley made his way to the ring to attempt to make his first title defence a successful one. Both Majestic and the Crew have been banned from ringside Callis points out as the leaders of both factions fight for the biggest prize in SWEW.

Samoa Joe rocked Shelley with a big forearm in the early going and a big chop sent him down. Joe covered and only got a one count as Shelley mouthed off at Joe saying it will take more than that. Joe and Shelley exchanged chops but Joe was the easy winner of that as Shelley stumbled and Joe threw Shelley through the ropes. Joe measured Shelley on the outside and flew through the ropes with an out of control tope but Shelley moved and Joe crashed to the floor hard. After a boot to the gut, Samoa Joe was hit with a DDT on the outside. Joe looked dazed as Shelley through his head into the ringpost then he rolled Joe into the ring. Shelley climbed to the top rope and came off the top with a knee and he hit Joe right in his chest. Shelley covered and got two.

Shelley used an amateur-style move to take down Samoa Joe but Joe managed to get to the ropes as Joe seemed to be holding his neck. Shelley saw this and locked in a twist on his neck. Joe looked in a bit of pain but Joe was able to flip Shelley over and hit three stiff kicks to Shelley’s spine to get the crowd going. Joe hit the ropes and smashed Shelley in the jaw with a big knee

Shelley kicked out after a close call. After ducking a clothesline, Shelley used a deep arm drag on Samoa Joe but Samoa Joe hit Alex Shelley with a big slap and a second one put him down. Joe locked in a STF on Shelley and locked it in good right in the middle of the ring. Shelley was screaming in pain and tried biting Joes hand but Joe hit Shelley hard with two stiff shots and locked him hands again. Shelley was able to get to the ropes but looked in big pain as Joe lifted Shelley up and hit a belly-to-belly suplex and covered for two.

Alex Shelley hit a sharp arm drag on Samoa Joe but it didn’t seem to faze Joe as he managed to kick Shelley in the gut and he powerbombed Shelley into the mat covered for two then flipped over for the Boston Crab. Shelley again got to the ropes but looked in immense pain as he went to the outside. Joe followed him and a right hand from Samoa Joe put Shelley down. Joe whipped Shelley into the guardrail bending it he hit it so hard. Joe then put Shelley on a chair and set up for an Ole Kick but as Joe ran towards Shelley, Shelley lifted up the chair he was sitting on and Joe smashed his face right on the chair. Joe was busted open but no DQ was called as Joe brought the chair into play. Shelley was still woozy but got into the ring first as Joe was bleeding quite heavily. Joe was into the ring next but Shelley was waiting and hit a dropkick to Joes head Shelley covered and got a two.

Shelley now had the advantage and locked in his one STF on Samoa Joe. Shelley was stretching his cut widening it making it bleed more and more. Joe managed to get out but was unable to see from all the blood and Shelley was able to hook in the Border City Stretch. Shelley pulled back wrenching the arm and neck as Joe screamed in pain it looked like Joe was going to tap but he couldn’t give up and he struggled to get to the ropes but he did. Joe could barley stand his neck was so damaged.

Alex Shelley floored Samoa Joe again and started kicking the back of Samoa Joes neck. The crowd were really getting behind Joe now as Shelley locked in a unique submission on Joes neck. Joe showed his power by viciously pushing Shelley off. Joe still couldn’t get off however and Shelley covered for another two. Shelley looked to finish and signalled for the Shell Shock. Joe was slowly up blood covering his eyes and he walked into the Shell Shock

Joe got his foot on the ropes. Shelley thought he won and he couldn’t believe it. Shelley set Joe up again for the Shell Shock, but Joe holds the ropes spins Shelley round and locks in the choke. Joe falls to the mat holding Shelley in the choke right in the middle of the ring. Shelley can’t move as the crowd as screaming for Shelley to tap. Shelley doesn’t tap, but looks out of it as ref Turner lifts Shelley’s hand and it falls to the mat once, twice, three times. The bell is rung and Alex Shelley has passed out to Samoa Joe’s choke and Samoa Joe is the new SWEW Heavyweight Champion.

Result - Samoa Joe wins the SWEW Heavyweight Championship

The Havana Pitbulls come out as Samoa Joe is given the SWEW Heavyweight Championship. The crowd are chanting Joe as he lifts up the championship he has been after since day one in SWEW as Shelley is still on the floor passed. The chants of Joe change to HUSS as Jimmy Jacobs comes to the ring and gets a mic. HUSS he says it doesn’t matter that Joe won the SWEW Heavyweight Championship because even if Shelley retained, on February 6th Don Callis has signed a triple threat main event for the SWEW Heavyweight Championship as Alex Shelley and Jimmy Jacobs will face the new SWEW Heavyweight Championship for the belt. Jacobs HUSS tells Joe he has beaten him before and he will again as he gets back his title. The show ends with Samoa Joe bloodied up been held up by the Havana Pitbulls with the SWEW Heavyweight Championship over his shoulder.

312 Hours Later

February 6th 2005

James Smith Memorial Arena, South Dakota

On January 9th at Mayhem in Minnesota Night Two, Alex Shelley ended his six month quest to become SWEW Heavyweight Champion as he beat Jimmy Jacobs to become champion. On January 22nd at Saturday Showdown just 312 Hours Later he lost that title to Samoa Joe in an epic matchup. Now the only three holders of the SWEW Heavyweight Championship will meet in a huge triple threat main event with the belt on the line. We will also see the return of the Straight Edge Hero CM Punk as he returns to SWEW to be Austin Aries dream partner to face Spanky with partner Low-Ki. We will also decide a number one contender for Styles Ca$hs SWEW Tag Team Championship as H-Factor, Majestic, The Havana Pitbulls and The SAT battle it out and we will finally have AJ Styles taking on Trent Acid in a match that has been building for months. Anything can and will happen in South Dakota this Sunday night as Alex Shelley found out that in even 312 hours, your life can be turned around.

SWEW Heavyweight Championship

One Fall To A Finish

Samoa Joe© vs. Alex Shelley vs. Jimmy Jacobs (w/Becky Bayless)

In the 8 months since SWEW has been formed three men have become the staple of SWEW shows, three men have risen to the top of SWEW and become champion and these three men will compete for two things, the SWEW Heavyweight Championship, pride and to be the icon of SWEW. Well that was three things but the last two aren’t real things so it counts as one.

Samoa Joe finally achieved his dream of taking his Crew to the top of SWEW as he defeated Alex Shelley at Saturday Showdown to knock Majestic off the top of SWEW and take the SWEW Heavyweight Championship. Samoa Joe has noted that Alex Shelley held the title for less than two weeks and is been very cautious as he steps into the ring to make his first title defence, especially since the man Joe fears the most in SWEW, Jimmy Jacobs. Jacobs despite been a lot smaller and weaker than Samoa Joe had escaped two title defences against Samoa Joe in his six month reign as champion. Joe is wary of Jacobs taking the title again away from him again as Jacobs returns to SWEW for the first time since he lost the title to Alex Shelley at Mayhem in Minnesota Night Two and Jacobs is looking to get the title back in his return to SWEW and knows he can get the job done against Joe.

Alex Shelley and Majestic are furious that Shelley’s title reign only lasted 13 days or 312 hours and Shelley is looking for instant retribution. Shelley is now fully focused on Samoa Joe and the rest of the Crew as the Majestic vs. the Crew feud starts to heat up and Alex Shelley is looking to take his title back straight away from Joe. Shelley knows he has Jacobs number defeating him several times in the past few months and he won the Ultimate Challenge Cup in December defeating opponents such as AJ Styles and American Dragon but will be able to beat the big Samoan who has beaten him twice in the last three shows? The rules of the match are simple. If Samoa Joe pins an opponent he retain the SWEW Heavyweight Championship. Samoa Joe can only lose the SWEW Heavyweight Championship if he is pinned by Alex Shelley or Jimmy Jacobs. If Alex Shelley or Jimmy Jacobs pin each other they will not become SWEW Heavyweight Championship but will be guaranteed a one on one title shot against Samoa Joe at the first opportunity available. With so much at stake this match will show who is truly number one in SWEW.

Dream Partner Match

Austin Aries & CM Punk vs. Low-Ki & Spanky

CM Punk makes his first return to SWEW since the Ultimate Challenge Cup last year as he has agreed to be Austin Aries dream partner in his war with Spanky who has picked Low-Ki to be his dream partner. The problems between Aries and Spanky started when Aries picked Spanky as the man he had to beat to get to the top of SWEW. However when Spanky defeated Austin Aries at Mayhem in Minnesota Night Two Aries snapped and hospitalized Spanky by throwing him threw a table. To rub the salt into the wounds further Aries went on to replace Spanky in the SWEW Triple Chance match at Saturday Showdown and Aries went on to win this getting him a second title shot at the SWEW Heavyweight Championship. Spanky is reportedly furious with this as he is yet to get a SWEW Heavyweight Championship shot despite been a famous wrestler in Japan. Aries challenged Spanky to a rematch to take place on Sunday but Don Callis made it a tag match as he wants to hold of a rematch between the two men. Callis made the match a Dream Partner match and the two men could not have picked better partners.

Low-Ki who has teamed in the past with Spanky is looking to help his friend get revenge on Aries before going back to ridding SWEW of the Crew and Majestic. CM Punk who reached the semi final of the Ultimate Challenge Cup and has a SWEW Triple Chance is a world class wrestler and Aries has picked well as he looks to make a bigger name for himself in SWEW. We are still not sure if CM Punk is ever going to cash in his SWEW Triple Chance for a title shot. We have contacted Punk several times since he has won but he has refused to sign for any title match so we were quite surprised that Punk has agreed to be Aries partner. This match is promising to be a classic as four of the best and biggest names in the world will be in the ring at the same time as Austin Aries and Spanky continue there war.

AJ Styles vs. Trent Acid

Tensions between AJ Styles and Trent Acid are been building ever since AJ Styles debuted at the 4th Show Spectacular. The duo have traded tag match wins over each other during the past six months without meeting in singles action yet, until now. Things came to a head at Saturday Showdown after Trent Acid lost in a tag match against H-Factor with fellow Crew member Ricky Reyes. Trent Acid’s leader Samoa Joe blamed Acid for the loss and said he hasn’t given the Crew anything positive in the last few months and it has to change soon.

It changed alright as Acid targeted the one man he hates enough in SWEW AJ Styles. As Styles Ca$h retained the SWEW Tag Team Championship for the first time against the SAT, Trent Acid attacked AJ Styles and stole his tag title belt. Commissioner Don Callis booked the match to take place on Sunday and it promises to be a humdinger. AJ Styles is astonished at the disrespect that Trent Acid has shown to the SWEW Tag Team Championship and has told SWEW officials that he is going to beat Acid, take the title back and beat some respect into him. A winner for Trent Acid over AJ Styles will surely put Trent back into Samoa Joe’s good book as the Crew look to make themselves dominate in SWEW again.

Number #1 Contendership Match For The SWEW Tag Team Championship

H-Factor of Jack Evans & Teddy Hart vs. Majestic vs.  The Havana Pitbulls vs. The SAT

With no clear contenders for Styles Ca$hs SWEW Tag Team Championship commissioner Don Callis has decided to make a four team elimination match to get a number one contender. The four teams all have a lot to prove. Former champions the Havana Pitbulls will be looking to get a rematch for the title they lost. Alex Shelley has committed Delirious and Super Dragon to be a full time tag team and he has given them the moniker of there stable name Majestic as there tag name. Delirious and Super Dragon will not want to let Shelley down. After a few disappointing results the SAT will look to get yet another title shot after losing to Styles Ca$h at Saturday Showdown. H-Factor members Jack Evans and Teddy Hart will be looking to maybe upset the odds by getting a shot at the titles. Evans and Hart have teamed many times together all round the world and despite not wanting to be a tag team in SWEW they certainly have the skills to win the match. Whatever happens, we are sure we will have a number one contender for the SWEW Tag Team Championship. Incidentally this will be the first match where members of the Crew, Majestic and H-Factor will be in the same ring.

Alex Lovell vs. Chris Ca$h

With no tag title defence to make and his partner already in a singles match, one half of the SWEW Tag Team champions Chris Ca$h will be back in singles action as he takes on SWEW Training Camp graduate Alex Lovell. At Saturday Showdown, Lovell lost but was impressive against Jimmy Rave and will be looking to pick up his first win in SWEW. The future of SWEW will be battling it out here. Chris Ca$h has already proved himself but will Lovell be able to?

Jimmy Rave vs. Ray Stevens

Stevens tag partner as Wasted Talent, Alex Lovell, lost against Jimmy Rave at Saturday Showdown. At ringside mid match Stevens and Rave got into an argument while the match was going on which nearly cost Rave the match. Stevens feels he can do better than his partner Lovell did against Rave and beat Rave while Rave wants to put the young graduate in his place by picking up a win. Again if Rave lost to someone who is only having his second match, like last month his future in SWEW must be on the line.

Bobby Quance vs. John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts

After his loss to Low-Ki at Saturday Showdown, John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts is looking to get back on track by picking up a win for the people of the Caribbean. The baddest Rastafarian on the planet however will have to take on H-Factor member Bobby Quance who has a 100% record in SWEW so far. Both men have had a good 2005 so far and both will want to keep this momentum going as we move into the summer months.

Tickets are still available on the door for the party at $15 or through www.swew.com. We are at the James Smith Memorial Arena on February 6th as we return to South Dakota. We hope you are there as we present a stacked as in a huge main event Samoa Joe defends the SWEW Heavyweight Championship for the first time against Alex Shelley & Jimmy Jacobs. CM Punk returns to SWEW to be Austin Aries dream tag team partner against Spanky and dream partner Low-Ki. AJ Styles and Trent Acid will finally battle in one on one action plus much more and we hope you can be there.

Just caught up man. The old double switch. I would have liked seeing Shelly getting a longer title reign, but it's all good. I mark for the H-Factor... at least the Teddy Hart & Jack Evans part:-p

PRESHOW

The Crew in its entirety are backstage. Trent Acid looks more serious than ever as the new SWEW Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe starts talking for them. Joe says it took him a long time to get the SWEW Heavyweight Championship. Just like Alex Shelley who won the title only to lose it 312 hours later. This won’t happen to Samoa Joe as he is going to have a long reign. Joe tells Alex Shelley to go home and take the rest of Majestic now; they aren’t taking the Crew off the top anytime soon. He then turns his attention on to his bogey man, Jimmy Jacobs. He tells Jacobs it doesn’t matter how many times he had beaten him, that’s in the past and now THE CHAMP IS HERE and it will take more than furry boots and stupid gimmicks to get the title off him.

Rocky Romero then steps up for the Pitbulls as he warns Styles Ca$h they will become number one contenders for the SWEW Tag Team Championship tonight and get the rematch they deserve. Trent Acid then comes back into shot and as they are speaking about the SWEW Tag Team Championship, Trent Acid starts to pose with AJ Styles SWEW Tag Team Championship belt that he stole off him at the last show. Trent still in a more serious state of mind than usual says he needed to prove something not only to the rest of the Crew, but to himself. He needed to prove he can hang with the big boys of the wrestling world. He says he felt jealous of AJ Styles, he has everything he wants, main event places, title matches whenever he wants. Tonight Trent Acid however is going to bring AJs SWEW Tag Title down to the ring with him and pose with it as if it is own. Not because he won the title, but because he can. Trent tells AJ he has been dreaming of the night that they would finally meet in the ring, the night Trent Acid becomes a star. Samoa Joe looks up at Trent Acid and says that’s what I’m talking about as we cut to the start of the show.

SHOW

Chris Ca$h d. Alex Lovell (w/Ray Stevens)

Two of the youngest members of the SWEW roster opened up the show where we had about 1800 in attendance as one half of the SWEW Tag Team Champions Chris Ca$h took on Alex Lovell in singles action. Ray Stevens, Lovell’s tag team partner was at ringside with Lovell giving him support but it was no help as Chris Ca$h was able to come away with the win. Lovell came close on a few occasions to getting a win, and when he hooked Ca$h in a STF it looked like he was going to tap but Ca$h rolled through and got to the ropes. The finish came when a bit of Lovell’s inexperience came into play (it is only his third match) as after he hit a big dropkick on Ca$h he never went for the cover. Lovell climbed the ropes and set up for a frogsplash but Ca$h was up in time and ran up the ropes and caught Alex Lovell with a big Hurricanerana and covered for the three.

After the match, as Chris Ca$h celebrated, Trent Acid ran down the aisle and started to attack Ca$h from behind. Acid knocked Ca$h down and measured him up for a Yakuza Kick and hit it. Trent went to the outside to pick Ca$hs SWEW Tag Championship belt up and tried to steal it. He would have gotten away with it if it to if it wasn’t for that pesky AJ Styles as he came down the aisle and cut off Trent Acid. Trent tried to hit AJ with the belt but AJ ducked and hammered Acid down who dropped the belt. AJ picked it up and threatened to hit Acid but Trent bailed into the back. AJ went back to the ring and helped his partner up and gave him back his title. The duo went to the back with a small ‘Styles Ca$h’ chant going. Wasted Talent had gone to the back while this had been going on.

Result - Chris Ca$h wins

(8:39) **1/2

Just before his match with Bobby Quance, the baddest Rastafarian on the planet John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts had a few words to say about H-Factor. He calls them all a bunch of spoiled rich kids who need some respect beaten into them. Earl Roberts says he is the hardest working wrestler in the world today and he will show it by beating respect into ever single member of the H-Factor.

John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts d. Bobby Quance

Quance not happy with what Earl Roberts had just said rushed to the ring and started like a house of fire on Earl Roberts with rights and lefts to Earl Roberts, then a big dropkick sent him to the outside. Unfortunately Quance was unable to continue his 100% win record in SWEW as Earl Roberts bounced back from his loss to Low-Ki at the last show to pick up a good win. After 11 minutes of back and forth action, Quance looked to go for the SSP on Earl Roberts after hitting a big dropsault on Roberts. However when Quance went for the SSP, Roberts moved out of the way and Quance crashed to the floor. Earl Roberts measured him up and bounced off the ropes with a big lariat, and Earl Roberts covered and that was enough for the 3. Roberts got a lot of boos as he went to the back but he seemed happy to pick up the win.

Result - John 'OK' Earl Roberts wins

Number #1 Contendership Match For The SWEW Tag Team Championship

Majestic d. H-Factor of Jack Evans & Teddy Hart & The Havana Pitbulls & The SAT

Majestic of Super Dragon and Delirious became number one contenders to Styles Ca$hs SWEW Tag Team Championship and will get a shot on February 19th back in North Dakota. In a great 20 minute match all four teams looked to become number one contenders. The first elimination were the SAT as Rocky Romero was able to hit Joel Maximo with a big superkick after Super Dragon had knocked him senseless with a big brainbuster. Super Dragon was the star of the match picking up the final two pinfalls. Surprisingly it was the Havana Pitbulls who were eliminated next as Jack Evans had just made an insane dive to the outside onto Delirious, Ricky Reyes and Teddy Hart. Rocky Romero looked like he was about to try a plancha but was unaware of Super Dragon behind him who hooked Romero and delivered a big Dragon Suplex onto Romero and held on for the three.

Teddy Hart had thought he had picked up the three count for his team when he hit the Hart Attack onto Delirious and covered but Super Dragon just broke it up. The finish came when Evans set Delirious up for the 630, but Super Dragon managed to cut him off from behind. Delirious got up and hit a tope to Teddy Hart on the outside taking them both out of the finish of the match which saw Dragon hit a huge Psycho Driver off the top rope which was enough to win the match and probably several matches as Evans was out of it. The crowd chanted holy shit as the ref pinned for the three. This was a good win for Majestic who beat three top teams in the same match and gave Majestic as a whole a boost over the Crew and H-Factor.

Result - Majestic win

Jimmy Rave d. Ray Stevens (w/Alex Lovell)

Ray Stevens in his first singles match in his history at this level had an impressive showing but like his partner at the last show was unable to get the victory as a member of Wasted Talent lost once again. Stevens, who wrestles a very similar style to his trainer Alex Shelley, tried to keep Rave on the mat a lot of the time but was unable to do so as Rave was able to hook in the tilt-a-whirl crossface for victory as Stevens picked up the win. Rave will now be looking to build up to the future after two wins in a row. Stevens showed some nice moves and looked like he may pick up the win after locking in the Border City Stretch on Rave but he wasn’t able to hold it as Rave elbowed out of it. Lovell and Steven looked dejected as they went to the back as collectively they have lost there first five matches in a row.

Result - Jimmy Rave wins

(10:08) **3/4

Trent Acid d. AJ Styles

In a match not for a championship, but for pride AJ Styles and Trent Acid produced a brilliant match which left the fans wanting more. Acid came to the ring with AJ Styles SWEW Tag Team Championship around his waist as he came to the ring first, he did his usual get money off the fans thing while AJ Styles came down with an intense look on his face. AJ shouted at Acid to give him back his title but Acid refused and threw the title to the outside of the ring as the match got underway. Both men went back and forth for 18 minutes as they tried to pick up the pinfall. Acid came close with a tornado DDT after 5 minutes and 5 minutes later nearly got counted out when AJ hit a big somersault plancha onto Acid and went back into the ring but Acid got back in at 9. With both men coming close to victory it looked like neither man was going to able to pick up a victory after 15 minutes gone. However when AJ Styles went for a discus lariat Trent Acid ducked and AJ span around and Trent pushed AJ into the referee Paul Turner knocking Turner down. AJ hit his back flip kick on Acid and both men plus the referee were down.

With everyone on the mat Chris Ca$h runs down the aisle. He picks up AJs tag title belt and throws it to AJ Styles. However Trent Acid picks up the belt before AJ and hammers AJ in the head with it. Ca$h comes up on the apron but Acid hammers him with the title and throws it out. Acid revives the referee and sets up AJ who is out of his feet and smashes AJ with a Yakuza Kick and covers for the three. Trent Acid quickly leaves the ring area with AJ Styles SWEW Tag Team Championship belt which he retrieved from the floor. AJ looks pissed when he comes to as Ca$h looks like he is apologizing. AJ calms down and seems to be cool with Ca$h as they go to the back together.

Result - Trent Acid wins

Dream Partner Match

Austin Aries & CM Punk vs. Low-Ki & Spanky

First out to the ring was CM Punk who was making his return to SWEW after having his only appearance before at the Ultimate Challenge Cup last year. A lot of fans were here to see Punk with the ‘x’s been thrown up in the air. Austin Aries was out next to a few boos. Spanky and Low-Ki came out to a nice reception. Spanky and Austin went face-to-face straight away but there respective partners pulled them away from each other and they were the ones to start, as the dream partner match gets underway.

Low-Ki and CM Punk grapple but neither man could get advantage. Austin wants in and is tagged in. A right hand from Aries puts Low-Ki down and he keeps him there with a modified arm-bar. Low-Ki hits Aries with a flurry of elbows to get out of it. Aries is pushed into the corner and Low-Ki goes for the Tidal Crush but Aries rolls out of the way and tags in CM Punk. Spanky is tagged into the match for the first time. Spanky and Punk grapple but Punk overpowers Spanky and takes him to the mat. Punk wares Spanky down with a headlock then he stands up and hits a running bulldog. CM Punk hit a flurry of chops to Spanky as they looked to cut Spanky off from his partner. Punk hit a stunted suplex on Spanky covered and got two. Punk was tagged in and Aries sprang over the ropes and hit Spanky in the chest while Punk held Spanky up. Aries and Spanky finally in the ring together and Aries looked to make the most of it. Aries stamped away rabidly on Spanky and set up for the Pendulum Elbow and hit it. That got a two count as Aries picked Spanky up and tossed him to the outside.

CM Punk joined Spanky on the outside as Aries blocked Low-Ki from getting into the ring. Punk rammed Spanky into the guardrail then rolled him back into the ring. Spanky seemed to be favouring his back and Aries picked up on that and turned Spanky over and hit a second pendulum elbow right into his spine.

Spanky kicked out but looked in a bad way as Punk was tagged in. Punk dug his knee into Spankys back and pulled back on his arms and Spanky screamed in pain. Punk shouted some smack at Low-Ki calling him a midget ninja and Low-Ki tried to come in but the ref cut him off and Aries came in and pulled on Spankys legs hurting him further as Punk still held on. When the ref turned round Aries was back on the apron as Punk still held onto Spanky. Spanky kept screaming no as the fans started to get behind him. Spanky built off that and started to come to his feet, he managed it and started to move to Low-Ki but Punk grabbed Spankys hair and yanked him to the ground. Punk laughed as he dragged Spanky into the corner and tagged Aries in. Aries hit a snap suplex on Spanky and signalled for another pendulum elbow. Aries came down and missed as Spanky rolled out of the way. Spanky crawled over to Low-Ki; Aries followed but was unable to stop as Low-Ki got into the match.

Low-Ki hit a flurry of punches on Aries, and then exploded by chopping the fuck out of Aries who crashed to the mat. Punk came in but Low-Ki saw him and nailed him with a stiff kick to his ribs. Punk wailed in agony as he fell into the corner and Low-Ki hit him with the Tidal Crush. Aries tried to sneak up behind Low-Ki but was chopped again and Low-Ki lifted Aries up and hit him with the Ki-Krusher:

Punk just broke up the count it was surely over otherwise. Punk knocked Low-Ki down with a modified DDT. All four men were down as things slowly were coming back to normal. Low-Ki was up first and he hit Aries with two stiff Mongolian chops as he was getting up. Low-Ki covered and got two. Spanky was in huge pain on the ring apron holding his back. Low-Ki hit Aries with a big exploder suplex but Aries kicked out again. Low-Ki signalled for the Ki-Krusher and lifted Aries up but Aries wriggled out of it and hit Low-Ki with a Ki-Krusher of his own. Both men were down but Aries slowly crawled over to Low-Ki and draped a hand over him

Low-Ki just got a shoulder up. Both men were slowly up and started to hit each other with weak chops but it was enough to knock each other down. Both men crawled to there corners. Punk was tagged in, and Spanky was tagged in. Spanky ducked a Punk clothesline and bounced off the ropes and hit a crossbody on Punk. Spanky rolled off and hit a dropkick to Punk and covered for two. Spanky went to the top rope and scored with a big dropkick on Punk but landed on his already injured back. Aries was up and knocked Low-Ki to the outside of the ring as the ref has lost all control of the match again as he doesn’t know who is now legal. A right hand from Aries put Spanky down. CM Punk was up and signalled for Aries to take Spanky up top. Punk climbed the ropes and Aries lifted Spanky into position for the Pepsi Plunge. Punk took a while to get Spanky hooked which was enough for Low-Ki to join them on the top rope from the outside, Spanky leaped backwards on Aries while Low-Ki delivered a top rope Ace Crusher to CM Punk. All four men were on the ground. Aries put an arm over Spanky for two, then Low-Ki over Punk but got a two.

All four men were slowly up. A suplex by Aries was countered by Spanky, who slipped out of the back in mid-move and hit a reverse DDT and covered

Punk broke it up. Low-Ki punched CM Punk in the face but Punk thought back but this just got Low-Ki even more heated and he exploded with a series of kicks and chops as the crowd were going insane. Aries sees this and jumps on Low-Ki as they both fall to the ground on the outside. Punk and Spanky battle in the ring again. Punk takes Spanky down with a side Russian leg sweep while Aries and Low-Ki are on the outside. Aries reverses an irish whip attempt and Low-Ki absolutely crushes a guard railing and he is out of it. Meanwhile in the ring, Punk and Spanky are trading blows, Punk goes for a big roundhouse but misses and Spanky hooks Punks head and goes for the Sliced Bread #2. Spanky climbs the ropes but his back goes out on him and Punk dumps him on the ropes. Punk climbs the ropes and hits the Pepsi Plunge on Spanky but he lands too far for the instant cover. Aries climbs the adjacent ropes from the outside and immediately hits the 450 Splash on Spanky.

That was enough to get the pin. Aries is slowly up first and he rolls Spanky out of the ring who is taken to the back by Low-Ki after Aries shouts at the duo. Aries looks really happy as CM Punk gets up and pushes Aries? Punk shouts to Aries he had the cover but Austin just brushes Punk off and leaves the ring with his hands aloft. The crowd clapped Punk as he stood in the ring, before leaving to the back.

Result - Austin Aries and CM Punk win

Don Callis comes out and thanks Austin Aries, CM Punk, Low-Ki and Spanky for the match he just witnessed. The crowd clap in agreement as Callis announces two further shows, one back in Minnesota at the Skybox Arena on the 26th March and a debut show in Nebraska at the Outback Gym on May 14th. Callis announces that the next show to be held in North Dakota on the 19th February, so far has Styles Ca$h defending the SWEW Tag Team Championship against number one contenders Majestic. In matches just signed Low-Ki will take on Rocky Romero as he continues his war with the Crew and Austin Aries will once again take on Spanky but this time with Ricky Reyes and Jimmy Rave as other opponents in a four way matchup. Callis thanks the fans for coming and he hopes they can come again in the future to SWEW.

SWEW Heavyweight Championship

One Fall To A Finish

Samoa Joe© d. Alex Shelley &. Jimmy Jacobs (w/Becky Bayless)

In an action packed main event Samoa Joe ensured his title reign lasted longer than the 312 hours Alex Shelley’s lasted by retaining his title in convincing style. Jacobs in his first match back I SWEW since losing the title got a hug ovation with HUSS screaming round the arena; Shelley was down next to a mixture of cheers and boos while Joe got a nice reception as he came down. After a little teamwork on Jacobs in the early going from Shelley and Joe, things dissented into mayhem with near falls all through the match from each man.

Noticeable spots include Joe doing a tope through the ropes crushing Jacobs and Shelley on the outside. Shelley locking in the Border City Stretch on Jacobs but as it looked like Jacobs was about to tap Shelley let go knowing the only way he could get the title is by beating Joe. Jacobs thought he had the title won in the twelfth minute when he hit the Contra Code on Joe but Shelley broke the count up at a long two. The finish came when Jacobs was on the ring apron, Shelley had him in a grapple with Joe on the ring floor. Both men teased suplexs for around 30 second, but Samoa Joe got up and charged into both men sending Jacobs crashing to the outside. Shelley was dazed and Joe locked in the choke from behind and fell to the mat and Shelley had no option but to tap as Joe retained the title.

Result - Samoa Joe wins

(15:53) ***1/4

As Samoa Joe celebrated in the ring, Alex Shelley rolled out of the ring and went to the back. Becky Bayless helped Jimmy Jacobs up on the outside of the ring. Jacobs picked up a mic and rolled into a ring. Joe looked at Jacobs as he began to speak. HUSS. Jacobs says he respects Joe as a champion, but Jacobs knows that on three occasions in the past he has beaten Joe one way or another, so he is cashing in his SWEW Triple Chance to have one final match with Samoa Joe, INSIDE A 15FT STEEL CAGE on February 19th in North Dakota if Samoa Joe accepts HUSS. Jacobs extends his hand to Samoa Joe, and Joe shakes and we have our main event for the next show. The crowd have duelling Joe and Jacobs chants as we finish off the show.

POSTSHOW

Backstage we are in a corridor and Wasted Talent of Alex Lovell and Ray Stevens are talking. They both look pretty banged up as they are complaining to each other on how they keep losing matches. Suddenly John ‘OK’ Earl Roberts comes round the corner and addresses Wasted Talent. He calls them ‘young boys’ as he tells them that he has a 6-man tag against H-Factor on February 19th and he needs two partners that will show him respect as he looks to beat respect into H-Factor. Wasted Talent seem very happy that they are even noticed as they accept Earl Roberts’s invitation to be on his team against H-Factor. Earl Roberts tells them if they stay with him, they will start to win matches.

We suddenly flash to Trent Acid who looks knocked out on the floor with lots of men stamping on him. We pan the camera out and we see it was Majestic of Alex Shelley, Delirious and Super Dragon standing over him as we go to black.

As the tape goes to black we are shown an early card for the February 19th show in North Dakota entitled Rage In A Cage:
