FIFA announced their list of 736 ( = 23 * 32) people who will be in uniform for the 2006 World Cup. About 300 clubs are represented from around the world, along with 4 players who are free agents.

Below is a list (compiled by myself, your humble EWB maths major) of those clubs represented by at least 5 players in the Cup.

Obviously, these numbers don't mean much -- for example, the 23 players from Saudi Arabia is not a coincidence (you play in the Saudi leage if and only if you are a Saudi). But I provide these numbers for amusement, and so the English contingent can brag about the quality of the Premiership.

Anyone think Lehmann will be killed if he's red carded in any World Cup matches? It is in his home country after all..
