New Metallica

I liked St. Anger. Was it Metallica's best? Not even close. Should we expect better things from them? Most likely. But it was a good album, nonetheless. If it was put out by someone else, it wouldn't have gotten all the complaints that it did.

For some reason, the only reason I never liked St. Anger was it's poor production quality. If some of the songs were cleaned up slightly it would have sounded much better. I understand it was more Bass based, but that's just something that i've never clicked with, I just like my crisp guitar sounds etc.

I'm sure that was the problem with many Metallica fans, the sound changed darastically when you compare MoP and St Anger. St Anger just seems, unfinished due to the fact that the production lets it down. It didn't help that there weren't many great songs but hey, that's still better than what some Thrash wanabees can come up with.
