Dead Rising

In which case you have about three minutes (real time) to make it to the control room (or wherever). If this is your first time through the game, you've probably done what I did, and spent far too much time hitting zombies with plates and a scythe, and not enough time getting on with the game. You might consider restarting, if you can't get to the right place in time.

You should have time. Just concentrate primarily on your case file storylines. Rush through them IMMEDIATELY as soon as you get them, dropping everything else. Then, when it next says "Next Case Is At 12.00PM", THEN go and save the various people dotted about the mall, when you have enough time. You should in most cases have enough time to do them, as long as you don't dilly-dally about.

And so, a good month after everyone else, I finally got this game. :D

Now it might be that I don't have a HD TV and so can't read the text, but I just don't get it. :(

It's cutscene, photos, cutscene...and you're off, with no help whatsoever about what to do in what order. Now I'm all for free roaming and the like, but fuck, this is too much.

I think you're supposed to do all the "cases" and the survivors and other things are just additional side-quests to get better endings? Is that right? And finally....

- Those guys in the jeep are gay.

- 99% of these survivors are bitches. I just get fucked off with them and leave them to die after a while. :/

- Who knew a parasol was the most effective weapon against zombies?

Change your XBox settings to widescreen, it helps a lot.

It is pretty much the point of the game that there is nothing to help you with. You're stuck in a mall with zombies. Absolutely anything and everything that happens is up to you. But you can't really NOT do the first few story bits. After the very first warehouse you bump into Jessica and she tells you to go help Brad. You can use your watch to set the arrows to direct you to the food court and basically follow your way through the first case with ease.

When you first enter paradise plaza, go up the stairs to your right and leap off halfway up onto the blue awning. Follow this down a bit till you're over the door to the warehouse/security room and you'll find an uzi. Kill the gunner first and you'll have no problems. Just make sure you jump in the truck afterwards for the achievement then destroy it or they'll respawn later.

They can be annoying, but each of them react differently to stuff. Try giving them weapons, calling them with the Y button, or in certain cases holding their hand/carrying them.

Effective it may be, but the Excavator > *
