Would anyone help me design a small mafia game? I'd like to try my hand at running one and I need help with how many town and how many scum and what roles would be good. You know stuff like that

25% to 33% of the game should be scum, generally. A little less if you run a cult (don't run a cult in your first game).

You can play a more than reasonable game with 7, so anything above that is fine as long as you can get your number of scum where Sousa suggested. Really small games can actually drag out because it's basically all like day 1 of a big game, though. Around 12 seems pretty good.

I just ran a 10-player game that I was prepared to cull down to 8 or 9 players. With smaller games, you probably should either plan to include some vanilla roles or replacement roles. You can innovate a little if you want, but you probably should stick to the roles that are in the primer.

Zan did. I won all three MVPs. Got switched from town to SK around halfway through. It was quite fun, he did a good job adding a lot of elements of the story.
