Pa Rappa the Rapper- I have the songs from that game on my MP3 player. It's semi-sequel, Um Jammer Lammy was even better, but I can't find mp3s of the songs anywhere. I have the distinct impression Xenogears had fantastic music, but I can't recall any of the songs currently. Street Fighter 2 had great music, particularly Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Vega, and Zangief's stages. My favorite overall would have to be Chrono Trigger, though. Beautiful music throughout, with even better remixes on ocremix.com.

Currently playing Final Fantasy VII as I am, the mention is obligatory. However I have to make particular note of one track. It's almost what, on the OST, is called 'Those Chosen By The Planet' (Sephiroth's theme for the majority of the game, not One Winged Angel) - however not the full song, but when they just have the opening bit on loop; which is essentially just a heartbeat combined with a periodic bell toll. The only reason I bring up this...musically-uninteresting track is because it legitimately creeps the fuck out of me. I'm not sure I can think of another track on any other game that puts me on edge in quite the same way.

I recently played Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas again and the music on that is top notch. Very atmospheric and fitting.
