Well there's your group of death. In the end Star Wars stood no chance, being roundly defeated in each match. Finally, ample competition for Tarantino. Cuckoo's Nest is an excellent movie and deserves to make it through.

2. Psycho vs 12 Angry Men

Easy for me. Psycho doesn't do it for me. 12 Angry Men does.

3. Godfather vs Silence Of The Lambs

Godfather is a fantastic movie. Never been a huge fan of the Lambs. Easy.

4. Raiders Of The Lost Ark vs Citizen Kane

Raiders is a great romp but Citizen Kane is a great MOVIE.

5. Empire Strikes Back vs City Of God

Sadly I resort to the safety of the Star Wars saga for this one. Tricky choice though.

6. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs Seven Samurai

Hardest choice of the round for me cos I love me some Clint and GBU but Seven Samurai for me is the greatest movie ever. So while it's hard, it's also easy cos no movie is better than Kurosawa's.

7. Shawshank Redemption vs Fight Club

Shawshank is clearly great and I really love it as a movie, but Fight Club is just better for me. Good novel too.

8. Godfather II vs Schindler's List

Ugh. Tricky. But Schindler's List made me cry and very few movies do that for me.
