EWB's Top 25 Greatest Rock Bands II: The Present

So along time ago I did this 25 greatest Rock bands of all time, and Metallica was voted as the best of the best. Well its back, but this time is a little different. Instead of choosing bands that are not performing anymore (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin), its time to look to the present. So only bands who are still Rocking it out and still creating albums (any band who's released an album in the last 7 years) are in this list. Best of albums do not count.

This is the nomination thread where you vote 10 of your favourite rock bands, and the more users who vote for them, the more points they gain to make the number 1.

Your favourite band though(your number 1) will gain 5 points, while number 2 and 3 gain 3 points each. 4 and 5 gain 2 points, and the rest 1 point.

So here's my list:

1.) Billy Talent

2.) U2

3.) Tool

4.) Pearl Jam

5.) Green Day

6.) The Shins

7.) The Flaming Lips

8.) John Mayer

9.) Oasis

10.)Coldplay

The Nomination Thread will be extended to Wednesday June 20th at 12:00 AM Eastern Time

1. Strung Out

2. Jamiroquai

3. Death Cab For Cutie

4. Muse

5. The Weakerthans

6. Ben Folds (Five...can I take both into account together? :shifty:)

7. Dream Theater

8. Cooper Temple Clause (RIP :()

9. Freak Kitchen

10. The Get Up Kids (RIP :()

Seeing as TGUK last album was 4 years ago, and the last CTC album was this year, that makes them eligible, right?

And this better not be like the top 100 bands, where despite having like 16 points, Strung Out somehow don't get put on the list, and I moan for a month...and nobody cares. :(
