Space-themed music?

Recently, I have found myself collecting music that utilize space, celestial objects and cosmic events as their themes. It started with metal music quite obviously, but has since then grown to encompass a wider variety. I'm now interested in adding similar music to my collection. So, songs about space and the planets, anyone?

Robin Black and the Intergalactic Rockstars

Planet: Fame is the album. Amazing stuff. Good old Canadian Glam Rock. Their sophomore album, Instant Classic, is also a really good rock album, but they ditched the space theme that they ran with for the first one.

Holy shit, Mithras? I bought a Mithras album from a second hand music store, purely for the cool spacey cover... got it home...

I was gutted. It sucked so hard. Totally not my thing at all.

Get some Zolar-X, they kick ass, a proto punk group from L.A. that inspired the Germs.

Everything about their music was spacey, from the music, the lyrics, vocals, and the way they dressed on stage. Hell, they even created their own martian language that they'd communicate to each other with. They were a very good rock and roll band that don't get nearly enough credit.

Their best songs are Timeless, Rocket Roll, and Parallel Galaxy.

Bal-Sagoth kicks ass by the way.

Hell most of the songs from their Origin of Symetry or Black Holes and Revelations albums might be the sort of thing you're after

Slough Feg is good too, they have major celtic folk influencein their music and they have two space themed albums.
