The Jeffster Memorial Chuck Thread

Next up, Ana Gasteyer as apparently a Russian (?) torture specialist. That is so awesomely out of nowhere (and Gasteyer is one of the unsung heroines of late '90s/early '00s SNL) that I'm looking forward to it.

I actually didn't think it was the best episode overall (the Ellie scene at the end made me cringe. Of course she's pregnant.), but it was 1000% worth it for Dolph Lundgren delivering both Ivan Drago lines, and except for season two I always feel like Chuck is a little bit off its game at the very start of the season. I have full faith that it will get fantastic.

I'm amused at what a non-presence Olivia Munn was, though. She was good in her, like, two scenes, but the concept of the Greta character seemed way too cool to really not be touched on in the slightest (I guess that'll be next week).

I have to agree, But the Drago lines were the reason for my earlier post.

As soon as I saw Ellie I called my shot "She's totally pregnant" It's really the only thing I can think of to keep Ellie and Awesome relevant.

I did feel that Munn was somewhat robotic, But that may be what the character is supposed to be - We will see with Old Spice Guy and Stacy.

I really wish that Munn and Keibler would be able to stick around - Makes me sad that there only one shot appearances

Also, I really hope that we see more of the Repo guy, He was cool.

Just saw it. Looks like the start of another stellar season. The Ivan Drago lines were the perfect blend of ridiculous and fluid-to-the-story in delivery. I was kind of hoping we'd see him around for at least a few more episodes, but Linda Hamilton kicking ass was great to see.

Was I the only one begging for an upskirt on those high angle shots when Sarah was reaching for her phone? :shifty:

No you weren't. :shifty:

A solid episode. Set things up rather well. The Chuck/Morgan stuff was fun. The sex-texts were brilliant.

I was hoping for some Jeff/Lester on the run shenanigans, but not to be. :( Hopefully they find a way to weave some secondary characters back in. Big Mike's still with Morgan's mam ain't he? So without having him at the Buy More, you could still get some Big Mike in.

The pregnancy was obvious, but yeah, only thing they can really do with Ellie and Awesome at this point.

Chuck guest stars post #137

Apparently Summer Glau will follow Olivia Munn, Stacy Keibler and others and appears as Greta in eighth episode. Can this show get any more awesome than it is? Hopefully they get more episodes, but atleast there's still 12 episodes left of this greatness.

The slow motion ACTION SHOT of Jeffster with the misfit BuyMore staffers (SKINNY GARFUNKELFRO GUY! FAT GUY WHO WAS ALSO IN GLEE AND WARREN THE APE!) was the most wonderful thing.

Not to put a dampener on another brilliant episode but it fell in the ratings, 1.9 18-49 in the first half hour and 2.0 in the second half hour.

Would love to see it survive but even on NBC right now it faces a bit of a fight.

Yeah, absolutely. Honestly, if not for the disasters that had been the Conan O'Brien situation and Heroes dying a miserable death, I wouldn't have been shocked if Chuck didn't make it past season 3.

So I finished watching Chuck all the way through the other day and yeah, it's fucking awesome. Season 2 was amazing and Season 3 wasn't much worse - it got a lot better once Shaw turned into a dick heel. Casey is immense and the supporting characters are all great too. Plus Sarah is fucking hot. I'm gonna watch the first episode of Season 4 now - I can't wait to see the interaction between Casey/Morgan/Casey's daughter and Casey just being a dad in general. The very end of Season 3 was just epic and I hope they can follow up on that promise.
