Will Smith as Neo?!?

... hn. As a MOVIE? Not really. But I think Smith would have been a much better Neo than Reeves was, as long as he wasn't just playing Will Smith in Crazy Dystopian Future and was actually playing the character.

Or maybe everyone would be black when they were unplugged, and we would find out that the machines were actually created and operated by a society of racists who made everyone appear white inside of the Matrix except for thugs, car thiefs and football players.

I liked both The Lake House and The Matrix Sequels, even though I can recognize that each subsequent Matrix movie got steadily worse. That said, I've come to the conclusion that when Smith sets his mind to it he can play any part.

Oh and Bagger Vance :lmao:

I'll be honest, a few years on and The Matrix doesn't hold up well at all to me, it feels like it belongs in a bargain basement bin as a series whole, the first film is still good alone, but it's not among the epic top level films it used to feel like. Smith is a better actor than people give him credit for, but I believe Keanu was better, the cold but confused acting he conveys is a great for the role.
