Regarding the whole 'Ocho Cinco' jersey, he shouldn't have to buy the remaining jerseys in order to get his new ones out. If a player get traded, they don't have to buy out any jerseys to get their current jerseys produced and sold. It's basically the same thing. Reebok should just make the damn jersey and clearance the 'Johnson' jerseys.

That's horrible logic. If he gets traded, he (in most cases) has no choice in the decision. He went out and changed his last name, on his own. He SHOULD have to buy back those jerseys, because it's not fair for Reebok to have to eat their money, because this fool wants more media attention.

So what aobut Keith Rivers? He's not an attention-seeking fool, he just had someone else on his team with the number he wanted. The number freed up when they left, but Reebok won't let him change his number unless he pays about $11k worth of his original jersey. The number a guy is registered with is a league/team/player matter, Reebok should have no place in telling a guy what number he can/can't wear.

It's not Reebok, it's NFL policy.

It's obviously something in the contract between Reebok and the NFL. If Reebok had nothing at all to do with it, he wouldn't be told to cough up $500k or whatever it is.

In other news, Hurricane Ike has hit Reliant Stadium, causing the Texans/Ravens game, which had been pushed back to Monday, to be pushed back to November, in the Ravens' bye week. The Texans & Ravens instead get a bye this week and the Texans will play the Bengals in the Bengals' original bye week which means Cincy now get their bye in Week 10. I think. And I thought having a bye as early as Week 3 was bad.

Fagtastic.

Also, I once read a concept somebody came up with for a hybrid of Final Fantasy and the NFL - Final Fantasy Football - that involved shit like magic passes that froze nearby defensive backs when the ball was successfully caught and that also suggested David Carr be given an automatic ability that upped his stats every time he got sacked, so that if he was hit five or so times in a game, he'd become some unholy hybrid of Manning, Brady and possibly Joe Montana as well.

The Johnson jersey thing isn't even Reebok's fault.

It's an NFL policy that has been in place for years.

Lets not single out the NFL either.....all leagues do that. However many jerseys are on the market this year multiplied by $110 retail for a premier and $80 for the replicas is a lot of money to lose if you have to sell the same jerseys on clearance for half off.

Detroit needs a complete overhaul, new front office staff, new coaches, new everything.

Loving the Bears so for, Orton's playing well, spreading the ball around, Forte's not been as rampant as last week, but still solid. And of course the defense has been dominant and got the team on the board with a blocked punt for a touchdown.

In fact the only disappointing so far has been Devin Hester, two returns for a total of 4.5 yards :o

Yeah, the Lions defense doesn't seem to be very good at all, but the Packers pass offense looks pretty good. Now, I'll admit that Rodgers has, so far, exceeded my expectations of them but it's only been a game and a half so it'll be interesting to see how he progresses during a full season.
