Why does Messi's minimum release clause go from £130m to £30 within two years of playing?

So many times I've seen him go to Liverpool, and only now have I managed to get him to come to Man City

In the very next window I was offered £93m for him :o

I think Barca offers him a new contract after one or two years and that contract has a release clause of 30 mil, which is ofcourse pretty unrealistic.

I got bored of trying to improve my already insane team so I went to Bayern. Then I got bored of that so I reloaded from just before I resigned from Man City and bought Rooney and Aguero. Now I really am bored. I think I'll give Bayern a try.

Somebody please help me get into this game.

Basically no matter who I play with/how many leagues I include, I suck and just in general the game is not fun. There is too much going on and it involves too much effort. I'm not talking like I want to go back to CM 01/02 but even FM 08 is so much more fun because A) it's winnable, and B) you don't have to spend an hour before each game to be successful. I really want to like this game but it's not happening at the moment. Give me some hope!

Finished my fourth year as LA Galaxy coach last night. After being in first in points and goal differential all season, we were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs to Houston. I've had a few teams mention me about taking their spot overseas, but I don't want to leave a good thing. I have a youth movement going through LA right now and we seem to be pretty stacked for the next few seasons. I'm getting bored with the MLS, though. <_<

My Man City game has decided to crash, and won't work anymore, good thing it was only recently started and I was only in September. I had transfer budgets off first window, and just brought in Dacourt on a free, and the squad I had to work with was alright, however Bellamy and Santa Cruz could not score at all for me.

Going to wait until Friday now for a new update, and then restart it, once again with transfer budgets turned off.

I left Antwerp for bottom of the pile M'Boro in England. It was my first time in an awesome relegation battle and it went down to the last day where we looked certain to get relegated(unless we beat West Ham 4-0). Tuncay put two goals away and then in the dying moments my Montenegro midfielder Nikola scored a screamer.

I needed one more goal to pull away from Bolton and Blackpool and right at the death Gary O Neil stole the ball from Dean Ashton in our penalty box, he surged forward and played an awesome cross to Didier Digard who scored with a diving header to save ourselves! Now for this summer I was given a good budget of 9 million

I was thinking who I could sign, I went to Arsenal reserves to look for some youngsters and I find Nasri and Diaby!:|, I snapped both up(4.9 mil and 3.2 mil each). Also sold several players such as Brad Jones,Digard,Mido,Shawky to make some money which I am using to bring in Chris Porter from Derby.

Defense is pretty decent and I have also got Goalie Bogdan Lobant in on a free

So I went back to before I resigned from Man City again and resigned, this time not taking the Bayern job when Van Basten went to Man City (and promptly ruined them, the wanker), but instead deciding to go on holiday and wait until the AC, Inter, Barca or Real job came up. Ancelotti, Pep and Schuster are all still there and Mourinho got the sack from Inter ages ago, allowing Wenger to take control and he's been there ever since. So I suspected I might have a little wait on my hands, especially since all four clubs are doing well.

Oh yeah, I'm England manager too. I forgot to mention that. I took the job after Fabio couldn't even get out of the group stages at Euro 2012. Been basically using the same guys in the set up now with the addition of some mid-20s guys (Curtis Davies, James Vaughan, Matt Derbyshire, Michael Johnson etc) as subs. So I have like 34 year-old Gerrard and 33 year-old Terry leading the team. Anyway, managed to finish 3rd in the World Cup, which I wasn't expecting at all. Smashed Scotland in the 3rd place playoff which made the fans happy. Now I've given the captaincy to Micah Richards and the vice captaincy to Rooney and hopefully they can lead us to the next World Cup. Phasing out the older guys should be pretty fun and I think I can replace all of the big names well, apart from Gerrard. I'm really stuck with that one.

Half-way through the World Cup, Wenger retired! So I applied for the Inter job and got it. The team is ridiculously stacked and it's a struggle for me to improve it. There's a few young Italian guys in the team who are good but not good enough for the first team, so I've loaned them out to Monaco and PAOK, which are awesome feeder clubs compared to the ones I usually see. Signed Matias Fernandez from my old Man City team and that's about it. I wanted Juan Arango as even at 34 he's a force, but he wanted 27.5k for each appearance, 51k in wages AND to have his status as first team. I couldn't even offer that much of an appearance bonus. So I guess my obsession with Arango has to wait until he's a staff member. This team seems to require more trimming of the fat than star signings, even though I have an awesome transfer budget. I'll probably just waste it on more regens tbf :shifty:

It's 2013, and I'm rooting against the United States in the 2014 World Cup Qualifying. They're fifth in the group with, I believe, two games to go. Hopefully they don't make it, and then I can take over.

Question, though: If I go on vacation to wait for a particular job to open up, does my popularity and prestige as a manager go down if it is an extended period of time?

Did you typo or did Blackpool really make it into the Premier League in your game? Just thinking of Blackpool in the Premier League is, well, hilarious.

Nah it wasn't a typo they did make it to the Premier League and they still have Daniel Nardiello...who turned into an English version of Pele on Championship Manager 4  .

Don't suck? :shifty:

:P

Seriously, though, I was horrid at first. All I've known for the last few years is MLS. So I started in the MLS, and constantly finished at the bottom of the league. So I started playing around with different formations, tried signing different styles of players, until something clicked. I don't spend anywhere near an hour before a game to prepare, and you shouldn't have to. I'm sure the more experienced players can give you some more advice, but I don't think there are one or two things that'll automatically give you a better outcome.

For a second I thought I was in the Porn? thread and wondered how the hell you needed tactics for blowjobs ¬_¬

In other news, inspired by the Notts County takeover, I decided to give them a go with a large chunk of money to start off with. I'm now nearing promotion from the Championship with a strike force of Chad Evans and Marquinos (not the amazing one ¬_¬) and also have Michael Mancienne, Vincant Kompany and DAVID BECKHAM

The funny thing is that almost every single one of these players were available on frees (David Beckham cost 20k... but for a 37 year old that's good business ¬_¬)

Nigeria fired their manager during World Cup Qualifying, and I applied. I got the job, but I asked for a week to think it over. Then I saved and stopped for the night. Not sure I want to take over that squad or if I should just wait and see what positions open up after the World Cup. I think I saw someone say quite a lot of National coaching changes take place after the Cup, can anyone verify this?

Yeah that's true but it's usually for the bigger teams.

I would have taken the Nigeria job they are really good in this edition of the game and always seem to get into the latter stages of the World Cup when I won it with Ivory Coast I faced them in the semi's and when I won it with England I faced them in the final.
