$50 is just ridiculous for a live fight.  That would be like ordering SummerSlam, have a five minute main event, and then have it replayed the next week on RAW.

The WWE example is one UK viewers get when they come over and do a PPV. You see the same show pretty much, with the exception of a lower card match or a slightly shorter main event and people have to pay £15-ish for it.

As for the Tyson fight I missed it but it was roughly what I expected from it.

Personally I'm hoping Oscar fights that way again, just so Hopkins can destroy him and end this myth that De La Hoya's an all-time great

Not cause I LIKE the guy or anything. I just want to see "Aussie Boy" Sam Soliman knock him on his bitch ass

Tyson did really dominate early on, but in the fourth round it seemed to fizzle out. Williams took an awful lof of hard blows from Tyson, and credit to him for staying in there. In the fourth when Williams had something like 14 unanswered punches on Tyson I knew it was over, just like Tyson's career.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Mike Tyson tore a ligament in his left knee in the first round of his shocking knockout loss to Danny Williams, his manager said Saturday.

Shelly Finkel said an MRI showed a complex tear of the lateral meniscus, and that Tyson couldn't even walk on the leg Saturday. He said Tyson's ex-wife Monica, who is a doctor, read the results.

"That's why he couldn't throw the right hand the rest of the fight," Finkel said. "I was screaming at him to throw it, but he couldn't."

Tyson was dominating the first round, rocking Williams with shots to the head, but late in the round motioned toward his knee and grimaced. Finkel said Tyson refused to make an excuse and wanted to continue fighting.

Williams ended up knocking Tyson out with a series of punches in the fourth round that left Tyson sprawled on the canvas. Tyson appeared as if he could get up and continue, but made little attempt to get up.

"In retrospect I wish he had said something and said he couldn't continue," Finkel said.

After the fight, Tyson's trainer, Freddie Roach credited Williams with fighting a good fight, but said Tyson was hampered by the injury.

"It's kind of hard to pivot and throw some shots without your left knee," Roach said. "But Danny Williams surprised a lot of us."

Finkel said Tyson was downcast after the fight, and that it would take some time to decide when -- or whether -- to resume his career. The fight with Williams was to be the first in a series of comeback fights to help Tyson pay off $38 million in debt.

Tyson earned some $8 million Friday night, but would keep only $2 million of that if a bankruptcy reorganization plan is approved. That plan, however, was contingent on Tyson fighting seven times in the next three years, which now appears unlikely.

"We'll have to see how emotionally he's hurt from this as opposed to physically," Finkel said. "We need some time to tell."

Promoter Bob Arum, who had planned to offer Tyson a four-fight deal worth some $100 million if he looked good, said that deal was now off the table.

For Tyson to continue, Arum said, he would have to fight for a few hundred thousand dollars a fight to build his record back up before becoming a contender again.

"Certainly it's a different Mike Tyson than there was in our estimation last night," Arum said. "If he's going to continue in the ring it's got to be done on a completely different basis. He's got to fight C and D fighters and build his confidence. You can't put him in with legitimate heavyweights."

Tyson's fight drew a crowd of 17,253 to Freedom Hall, most thinking they would see an early knockout of Williams, whose biggest claim to fame was that he was the former British heavyweight champion.

But, after a shaky first round, Williams fought back and turned the tide late in the third round as Tyson appeared to tire. The fight was a free-for-all, but Williams was stronger and fresher and landed a series of unanswered punches in the fourth round before Tyson went down and the fight was stopped at 2:51 of the round.

"The main thing was to get past the first two rounds and give it to him," Williams said. "I knew he would tire and he did. I just kept punching and punching."

i didnt watch the fight or anything, but this is kinda interesting. If its true then maybe thats the reason that he lost. I like tyson, and hopefully he can get back in shape and fight the rest of the bouts so he can get his life back together.

Didn't watch the match but was pleased to hear the result this morning. I've been following the buildup all week, and am totally chuffed about Williams winning. If KO'ing Tyson in 4 rounds isn't a good way to spend an evening, then how about what he did after the bell rang... he proposed to his girlfriend right there in the middle of the ring.

Keep dreaming, Soliman sucks, he couldn't even beat Mundine, let alone De La Hoya.Danny Green's Aussie's best hope, and he's not even that good.

Tyson, go KO Bob Sapp and put him outta K-1....please.And that knee thing, is either a way to try in get back that contract with Arum, or cover up the fact he's washed up.

Williams on his night is good though, could be a good challenge for Byrd, maybe beat Brewster.

What is a knee thing? A tear is a tear is a tear. How can anyone use a torn ligament as a cover. He legitimately tore it, so what do you want from him?

Many people earlier mentioned that Tyson shouldn't be fighting and while I agree to an extent, if you want to bring up people whom shouldn't be fighting then look up Meldrick Taylor. His is one of the saddest stories in the history of boxing IMO.

If you want to talk about people not fighting there is one name that comes to mind...George Foreman and his upsoming return.

I look at this Tyson fight as nothing more than a Rahman type deal, Williams got lucky, Tyson tore a ligament, if not Williams would have bee KO'd.

Ask anyone who watched the Soliman-Mundine fight and they'll tell you Mundine lost that night, he just had the judges in his back pocket so he could go fight Bayer for the title. Add that to the fact he's won, what? 14 straight since that night

And De La Hoya's past it. Just like Tyson. I'd lay my cash down on Soliman against him. I admit he doesn't have a hope in hell against Hopkins but I think he could beat De La Hoya.

And Green sucks. Green will always suck.

Williams wants a rematch to prove it is not a fluke. I think this time if Tyson accepts Williams will get what he should have gotten this time.

Yeah, I doubt that.

I'm not a huge Williams fan, he can be pretty inconsistent, but he will beat Tyson again. 'Iron Mike' seems to believe his own hype, thinking that he is still the boxer he was years ago. He isn't. He'll get knocked out again.

I wish someone would just give him some money so he wouldn't have to box again, his career is over.

I have never really loved Tyson actually since he knocked out Frank Bruno, who at the time I was in love with

After reading more on this Williams win, I am actually really happy for the guy. Tyson always thought he was the bad ass, but now got knocked out. Don't hate the guy, but he does my head in with all his twisted ways of cheating(Biting ear for instance). I love how quite a few people are making excuses for Tyson though. Sorry, but he lost simple as and I'm damn glad.

Someone tell me whats happened to Nassim Hammed or however his name is spelt. He was the biggest twat in boxing history, I remember when he thought he could take Lewis. I haven't seen him in like years to be honest, where the heck is he?

On Sportscenter, a doctor said he was suprised Tyson could even walk after the tear he suffered in the first round. I think Mike could take him, and well Williams wants a rematch, Mike might as well give it to him, he needs the cash. I just wish Lewis would come back and lay some whoopins on some people.

Foreman is also coming out of retirement.........Again
