Also, one of the two new characters they've confirmed are appearing in the second half of season two is played by Terriers' Michael Raymond James. Very excited for that.

I hope it's just Britt Pollack, but in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.

I have such high hopes on the show improving with the new writing time in the second half of this season. Maybe not straight away as i am sure they already had lot´s of stuff planed out and very little time to rework it, but at least wen season 3 starts hopefully the writing will be up to the comics standard and to the standard AMC holds in it´s other shows.

Apparently the show creators are trying to get John Hawkes (guy who played Sol in Deadwood) to sign on to play The Governor.

Whoa. Whoa. Okay.

On one hand, killing off Michael Raymond-James' character is kind of a ballsy stunt casting decision. On the other hand, it's really, really not reflecting well on the show that a guy comes in, is a way more compelling actor to watch than nearly the entire actual cast, and then is gone ten minutes later. Fantastic ending, if frustrating for its own reasons.

The Lori stuff was just unbelievably stupid, though. I actually sarcastically applauded when the car crashed.

I don't get the Lori thing...why did she want Daryl to go off and search for the group in town? Rick and Glenn went...so....why? Did I miss something?

Also, I was super excited when I saw Michael Raymond-James (thanks for letting me know his name, GoGo!). I LOVED him in True Blood, he made season 1 amazing. I thought he would have been another great character to hate, someone I would never trust (and apparently, with good reason). Kinda sucks he was killed off right away...but a great cameo none the less.

It's called a cameo. Unless you're saying that it's sad that an actor can be on the show for 10 minutes and be better than the rest of the cast. I tend to disagree with that point but I understand your position.
