I've gone on an absolute tear since my three straight losses. I beat Karo easily by UD, although I had a problem finishing him off. Best way to beat him is to take him down before he takes you down. Then I handed Kampmann a major ass whipping after learing all the elbows from The HIT Sqaud, he really never stood a chance. Got another UD against Amir and a Fight of the Night award, all he did was slam each other and throw punches. Now I'm fighting Jon Fitch for the right to face Koscheck in a title fight.

Last year, I shined for most of my submissions is my guy wasn't strong enough for the button smash, so I'm decent at it, although it does really take some work and I've gotten my Sub offense up to 70 and have reached Lvl. 3 on the Arm Triangle and the Knee Bar.

EDIT: Holy shit! Did I just seriously knock out Fitch with one lucky fucking punch? He went in to clinch, I pushed him away and hit a looping left hook to K.O. him. Damn. Koscheck's up next.

My guys currently 24 - 7 - 0 with 2 losses to Serra (who I KO'd in our 3rd match) and 1 against GSP. I just beat Thiago for the belt and my first title defence....is against GSP. This will be a short reign

EDIT: Or Not. Your winner and STILL Welterweight Champion GSP came in close for a brawl and I just elbowed him into a KO. Good fight though, and took til the 3rd round for me to win.

I noticied when i didn't call out Karo Paryisan the fights seemed easier than when i called him out, probably cause i disrespected his honour and wanted to kill me. I beat Dan Hardy by KO in Round 3 to go 19-6-0

So I get the champion vs. champion fight and win. I drop down a weight class and have a few defenses before I'm inducted into the Hall of Fame. I figure my next fight is my last but I've had five since then. Does anyone know when career mode ends?

By the way, if you guys haven't noticed yet, you can unlock more stuff for your edits by doing the title mode (and then title defense mode, which gives you a LOT more of the games currency) then go to game progress and select the unlock shop. There's extra nicknames (including Last Emperor!), new taunts, new fighter intro animations, and new win animations. Also lots of new patterns for custom shirts.

Sadly, no ability to have an American Flag banner for my Kenny Sasaki...

Also it's a bit lame that you can't have custom banners in exhibition mode. Granted the banners themselves aren't really much to write home about, but come on...

Got all my stats up to atleast 70 and starting to learn new moves. I wish most of the strikes where the hitting the pad ones cause you can level up in one got

I actually got it when I surprisingly got a one punch K.O. against Jon Fitch. Maybe that's it, I dunno.

Anyways, I worked on my cardio hardcore before the Koscheck fight because from what I understand, I'm going to need it. And I did. The fucker has unstoppable takedowns and slams, but I won via the massive amount of damage that I did to Koscheck's face when given the opporunity. He got more takedowns than I, but I did far much more damage and won via Split Desicion. GSP is my first title defense.

EDIT: God damn you, GSP! The fucker ended my reign with an arm triangle. Time to rebound against Thiago Alves.

Not exact on the time but I remember one where me and my oppenent met in the center to touch gloves, and I faked the touch and jump kick KO'd him first shot.

EDIT: I just murdered Matt Serra, possibly paralyzed. German Suplex to Side Control rocked him, leaving him wide open for a TKO from side control. Looked awesome, Rampage like. Next to fall was Marcus Davis, earning me my rematch with GSP. Death to GSP.

Do TKOs count? Because I've gotten several in under a minuite by suplex to side control, salvaverry then elbow to oblivion.

Won't work all the time of course but it's a strategy that I've found works wonders against the CPU. Online not so much.

the salvaverry is the new mount of last year where people will spam it online Very effective i don't normally like using it too much on career i prefer to just do it either if i want to get a submission or try and grind to victory. But there are times where it's like fuck it, elbow the crap stand up left hook good night

The omoplata is another move I bet lots of people will use online too. Not because it's a particularly effective submission, but because there's one of three outcomes with it:

1. You win by submission

2. Opponent is standing and you're still down, making it easier for you to stand back up.

3. Opponent has you in side control, which you can use to transition to standing easier.

Submissions are still a pain in the ass to do on CPU opponents in any difficulty except beginner which irks me. It means you pretty much HAVE to make a submission specialist in Beginner if you go to career mode unless you copy a retired fighter to create mode (which they might put a nix on via patching...)

is there a way to start a career with a caf created in the main c.a.f mode ? Also thinking of doing all judo fighter which stats should I focus on at the start and any camp suggestions

I just went all three rounds with Thiago Alves. His corner was celebrating and my corner was all like 'Well, shit.' Then we both came to a split desicion. Got demoted to a UFN main card fight against Frank Trigg.
