Got the new album "To The Sea" today, as usual it's wonderful

Seems a lot more upbeat and up tempo than his other stuff, halfway through and "From The Clouds" stands out as my favourite track, with "No Good With Faces" following. Not a bad one thus far, but the minute long "When I Look Up" is nothing to boast about (still not bad, mind), but then I have a disdain for songs like that, unless it's something Punkesque it has no time to get into any real feel for the song.

Anyone else checked it out?

I'm not sure how many albums he's had, but I know I've heard the one with "Better Together" on it. IIRC, most of the songs on that album sounded very similar.

I'm not sure how many albums he's had, but I know I've heard the one with "Better Together" on it. IIRC, most of the songs on that album sounded very similar.

He is very samey, but he's an artist I don't want to be too different, if you try to make relaxing music then generally the tempo should be familiar. Also do love his lyrics, they're not even poetic, they're just amazingly simple. And yes, I'm aware that makes it sound like anyone could write his music, and a lot of people sound similar, but nobody lives up to the man himself.

I'm not sure if that'll be a grower, it's a good track but I'm not sure it'll ever get to be a great track with me, hoping though.

Sleep Through The Static was awful, To The Sea is a great album. As I said in the "What are you Listening to Now?" thread, its a lot more like Brushfire Fairytales or In Between Dreams.
