It matters if you don't want to see Auburn win the title, then get stripped of it in 2012, while deserving and eligible teams get bumped down to the lower tier of bowls because they're non AQ schools. Even if Alabama wins now, Auburn will drop no lower than 4th or 5th and could climb right back up if they put a beating on So. Carolina.

It's honestly better if they lose to SCAR, but man I was being sarcastic there. Auburn getting the title vacated would do no benefit to the teams they won it in front of since they can't retroactively award it. Should've used an emoticon.

And that looks like a serious injury for McElroy.

These douchebags had the magic horseshoe last year and have completely pissed this one away with a dropped TD and 2 red zone turnovers. Newton will put one more TD on the board and we'll end up seeing Auburn beat Oregon for the title, only to lose it when Newton's ruled ineligible. Why can't the SEC just go away?

I don't think that Oregon is gonna be losing. We seen here that Auburn is a bit more vulnerable, so hopefully South Carolina can beat them in the SEC title game.

If Oregon survived Cal and Auburn survived today, I think we're resigned to another title game which may end up with no champion in a few years. The ONLY positive about this year's game is that it won't be tainted by the Big 10 or Big 12.
