I prefer playing scum simply because you get to do it less often, so it's a little more fun. But there's something far more gratafying about catching out scum when you're a townie.

I play like scum either way, so it's easy to actually be scum cause then I have backup.

Town. I hate mafia roles and it tends to make me want to play less because half of the fun is the guesswork.

Town by a pretty huge margin. Then again, I don't mind being scum in trad games so much. But being mafia seven times out of eight in ability heavy games is no fun at all. No fun at all.

It seems like the more I play again and the more games I pay attention to, the fewer games seem to have truly randomly generated roles.

I prefer being town by quite a bit. There's little more irritating then being scum and being voted out for something that isn't true, then seeing the mistaken player gloat about it.

I have to add - I would love to be scum in a game with RW. Bastard was amazing at it in one that we did a while back, so much so I felt genuine anger at him for being so damned good at it
