DC United? Stomped on. Really concerned about Rosales going out late, though, the way he hobbled to the ground that one looked ugly and we really can't afford to lose him.

Well, NY won't die as they get a HUGE win in Dallas ... Philly put the race for the Eastern Conference back on with a win against CLB ...

Right now they're saying a sprained MCL for Morales and he's out for the midweek CCL match, but not definite timeline. Although, "sprained MCL" isn't all that bad after seeing the challenge. That was shit.

Huge win for the Sounders on two fronts.

1. It got us the Cascadia Cup and that's going to be good for bragging rights for a while.

2. It proved that in spite of our poor start, the Sounders have gotten to the point where we can win games convincingly in MLS play without Mauro Rosales if need be. We're clearly miles better with him, but we're not as fucked without him as we were at the start of the season.

Both facts are very, very good omens going into the US Open Cup final. If Mauro has a miracle recovery and can play, fuck yes. But Fredy Montero is having his yearly run of goals, El Flaco has come into form, and Keller had a tremendous night as well (even if his back line let him down on many occasions).

Also, I had to laugh that Rafa Marquez ran his mouth like a douchebag after the RSL loss, got suspended for the Timbers game, and of course New York won that one 2-0.

Eh, I'm not bothered. It was a shitty game from a Sounders side that was missing its three best offensive players (Montero because he gets stupid yellow cards, Rosales because he's not ready to come back yet, and Fernandez because he was cleared to play too late to really train) and lost its best defender to concussion halfway through. Philly needed it more and the scoreline reflected it.

We seriously need to get rid of Pat Noonan at bare minimum, Jaqua too if we can get two superior striker options in the offseason.
