Oh right, Montano. All signs point to him going to Montreal, he's outright said he's going there and all that's left is the official word. Honestly no big loss for us because we have so much midfield depth that barring absolute disaster he won't be necessary. For all intents and purposes David Estrada has his spot.

Portland's third is great. I'm really jealous.

Not really a shock anymore, but the Sounders have announced Michael Gspurning is the new starting keeper. Sounds incredibly promising.

So in this offseason LA seems to have gained about a billion players and the Sounders seem to have lost a billion. Nate Jaqua is going to New England (which is great for him because their depth is so bad that he'll probably get more playing time), Pat Noonan is going to LA for some reason, and Erik Friberg is gone too, being sold to Malmo FF in Sweden because his wife is pregnant and they want to raise their kid amongst friends and family. I wish all the best to him, I will always remember him for shoving that douchebag RSL player who was blocking his free kick to the ground in the postseason this year.

This will probably mean a little less crowded of a midfield for the Sounders; if Zakuani is back to 100% at the start of the next season then Fernandez will probably move back to the center.

Well, Mauro coming back has basically been 90% confirmed for a couple weeks now. Glad to have it confirmed, but right now my primary concern is the Sounders finding a new starting RB. Otherwise it'll be Zach Scott who is more a specialist player who we use for specific things, like rendering Brek Shea hilariously useless.
