It definitely happens on PS3. Like, I switched to Attack pointstreaks because I realized I could do that.

Did you die between getting it and using it? Or did you get it from a care package?

They do stack in MW3. Care Packages have never stacked. Black Ops didn't stack.

I've had stuff like that happen before - but eh. It's the minority of the time I run into instances like that and the rest of the time its heartbreaking "how the hell?"

This was something they emphasized as the game was coming out. Each assault kill streak (except care packages) can help to the next one. For support, it does not because when you die it does not reset anyways.

Kills from killstreaks counted towards your killstreak on MW2, I can't remember the others but it definitely did on MW2 because I used to get 10-15 kills with a chopper gunner to get a nuke.

The only didn't stack in Black Ops. Which I hated. Because it meant you either had to be really, really good to get the high end killstreaks, or just camp/abuse grenade launcher and all other manner of cheap ways. I get that in theory it kind of evens out the game more, because you had to be good enough to get those kills on your own to be rewarded the high end ones, but that's just not the way it played out. I much prefer them stacking, because it means there's a lot less dying straight after spawning just because someone figured out the exact spot to aim a Grenade Launcher that it hits the spawn point.

Had this since early December and just started playing today. I am new to FPS in that they never appealed to me. I had a MoH a few years ago that I barely played. Holy shit am I bad at this. Does it get easier?

Practice and unlocks make it easier, really. I'm already nearing the end of my first prestige run, it's an alright game, but you really need to be a twitch gamer to get a serious Kill/Death ratio

Picked it up, as for once I didn't spunk £50 odd on a game I wouldn't play enough to warrant it. However, I felt I needed an FPS in my current collection.
