You've got the Rangers beating the Yankees in the Wild Card round and then the ALCS. This isn't double elimination, although watching the Yankees get eliminated twice in a single postseason would be AWESOME :shifty:

There's a lot of optimism about this Jays team this year. They set a franchise spring training record for most wins. Their pitching has been pretty good. Lawrie absolutely crushed spring training, batting over .500.

Maybe I'm just being overly hopeful.

In one or both World Series years, their spring training record was below .500. (Y)

Jays are stuck in a rough spot of having to compete with Boston, New York, and Tampa. The 3rd Wild Card is a blessing for them, and the team is pretty well-built to make a run for quite a few years to come. Unfortunately they drew the short straw in their division and when it's all said and done one or two postseason berths might be all they manage. Time will tell though, I don't expect the Yanks or Red Sox to fall off for more than one season but Tampa certainly could go the way of the dodo with a perfect storm of problems.

O's managed to lose to a community college today, granted they lent a couple players to the school but still.
